I'm guessing you guys have been there . Do you know is it normal they have the gates open when they're closed? There wasn't a single worker/person anywhere inside of it and I was inside for over an hour.

Looks like a good time to visit if a person was less interested in tourist stuff and just wanted to look around. Hope Starlink works out for you.
Starlink has worked great for the week that I've had it, faster than the local provider... I love going to places during the off-season because you have a front row seat to all of the sites even if the little stores and tourist centers are closed. It's much more enjoyable without the crowds.
I know exactly where you stayed. The mgr doesn't do the best job ensuring detailed cleaning is completed. They probably didn't look inside the fridge at all.
But it does serve it's purpose and it's in a decent location for food and supplies.
Yeah it was in a great location with Safeway right across the street and the manager was really really friendly. I don't really get bothered by things like that, I left them a good review. I actually went back to Fairbanks a week later and stayed there again.
