- After 10 years of living beside the worst neighbours anyone could ever have, I've decided to leave everything behind and move to somewhere I can get some peace and quiet. This video explains the reason for my decision and documents the move I've made to the country.

The neighbor situation is so sad, good on you for finding your piece of sanity.
I live on 40 acres of Prairiegrass with two springfed creeks. My husband built our home in 2003 and he passed in 2018…too young. I’m determined to stay here until I join him. I am so fortunate to have the best neighbors who are here when I need them.
Enjoy your new property 🦋
The same thing happened to me but I called Animal Control in our city. I gave them proof and they told them they would site them if the dog continued barking all day!! My other neighbor had a band and used to have the band playing Spanish music whenever he wanted. I told him about it, he still continued. I called the police several times and he most likely got told if they come out again for any loud music that they will start giving him large fines! It's been months now and I finally found the peace I think I deserve!!! Call me wrong if you like but I don't need inconsiderate people constantly invading my space!!!
Nobody and I mean NOBODY needs a Mariachi band playing in a Friggin neighborhood. You want Mariachi? Go back to Mexico.
RUN FORREST RUN!!!!! People should NOT live close to each other!!!!👍👍👍🇺🇸
Well, I agree, for this day and time. But you don't want to be isolated from your fellow man. You have to be available to help others. Otherwise you will be a self serving individual. And that's not good.
I totally agree. That's part of the reason I opted to buy in this little town of 700 rather then isolated out in the sticks somewhere.
Moved out to the county side 5 years ago. Best decision ever. My closest neighbor is 4 acres from me and is a good neighbor at that.
You're one of the lucky ones. Thanks for watching.
It is sad when you are the one to leave people just don’t care anymore so sad ❤
Same here in East Tennessee. My parents have lived in the same home for 62yrs during C-19 all the old people that lived here passed away. then idiots bought everything around us Dog's & dumbass's destroyed my peaceful neighborhood. when my mom passes in late stage dementia I'll sell Fast just to get my peace & quiet back. Congratulations Man being happy is Priceless Awesome place
I'm also in East Tennessee and I can't stand having neighbors anywhere around me.
@@gregoryhodge9452 same here
CV19 is a military op. All the old people were victims of that op. Come on people. Wake up. See things for what they really are. To delude yourselves is extremely dangerous. Unless you too want to be a victim of the war on humanity being perpetrated on the global population.
Ain't that the truth!
I moved to Sevierville 4 years ago and it has changed SO much in those 4 years! I totally understand. A few months ago I sold my car and bought a 22 ft van that I am doing some modifications on so it will be my house on wheels; at least for a while 🤷♀️
I’ll visit my kiddos and their kids in Texas and I will see what is next after that. I lived in Alaska some years before coming to Tennessee and thought when I moved here this would be it for me. But ohhhhh wellll….
I miss Alaska but that is a tough place from a single lady of 71 to live. God promised He has good plans for me and I trust Him. Blessings on you in your new home🙏
Duuude.. wife and i are doing the same thing.. leaving upstate New York.. bought 2.27 acres in N.E. Nevada.. 20 minutes from town.. we will be totally off grid.. nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile away.. good for you man.. screw humanity lol..
Same here! 20 years and now the neighbors' nonstop cars idling, dogs barking and loud music......so Congratulations on your piece of paradise or should I say peace of paradise😊
Silence is golden...and healthy. Good luck and good for you.
Rarely do you have peace with people. People ruin everything. Sad but true. I used to like people until I opened my eyes. We have a "Karen" and a "Ken". They can do things but if you do the exact same thing they complain, scream at you, threaten to call the police. And they can't understand why you don't want to be "friends" anymore. When you repeatedly show your ignorance people finally get fed up. Somewhat normal people may let things slide to just get along or just because they're a good person. Even good people have their limits. I don't want neighbors.
"people ruin everything" is the motto I'm going to put on my gravestone
Stumbled upon your video and immediately started to cringe when you got to the barking dog. I basically live in the same situation. When we bought our house 11 years ago it was quiet and somewhat peaceful. They sold the farmland that was behind us and built 2 story cookie cutter homes basically in our backyard. All 5 of our neighbors that are next to our property or directly across the street have dogs. The older man across the street has 6 dogs and he goes out in his backyard and yells at 1,2,3 AM several times a week. Loud trucks at 2 and 3 AM. Garbage truck comes through at midnight to pick up the neighbor's trash. Cats climb our fence and dig in my garden beds. Loud music from the neighbor beside us. I want out of here so bad. Your new property is lovely and those mountains are gorgeous. I think you've persuaded me to push a little harder and move next year. Thank you and take care.
I went a step further and retired on partially wooded rural acreage with no close neighbors. I found out the hard way that if you have any close neighbors, it's just a matter of time before they divorce/die and sell, or turn the home into a rental, and then it's a crap shoot on what kind of neighbor you get.
BINGO !
Its the only sure way to avoid neighbor problems. I have the same situation except I only have 2 acres. Im surrounded by a few hunnert acres of forest land others own.
Sadly there is a very small house on a single acre right alongside me. The guy was only there at night, bachlor with no animals and super , super quiet. Now, he has moved out and the owner is ready to sell it off. His price is way too high by alot for whats there and its condition. I either have to pay way too much and control the situation or roll the dice and be ready for bad crap to evolve in the near future.
It simply sucks, but thats how it is if you dont have tons of money to throw at it and situate yourself with NO nearby neighbors and / or some serious buffer zone to your place.
I did the same thing. i actually moved across the country. When looking for a house to move to, I insisted to the Real Estate Agent that I did not want to be in "town" and wanted to be up in the more rural mountain area.
I love it. I am surrounded by farms and just a few neighbors.
I'm almost a little surprised you couldn't hear your old neighbors even after driving 5 hours. The "Redrum" clip was spot on.
We were driven away from our home by neighbors with dogs that never EVER shut up. I was half nuts by the time we got out of there. We moved to western Illinois in the middle of nowhere and have been happy as can be...............until 1 week ago, when the house 1/10 of a mile from us sold .
We have an endless parade of idiots on dirt bikes and 4-wheelers roaring by at all times of the night.
I expect they'll be getting barking hounds too, based on how they keep the yard. I don't know where to go anymore. There are people EVERYWHERE and they all seem to be loud, obnoxious and totally self-centered. Sometimes I wish I would lose my hearing.........
Immigrunts are clueless. THAT'S the problem. Happens everywhere now. Move to the woods in States that have long cold winters, that's the only way to avoid the grunts.
You need a house with acreage, at least 3 to muffle some of the possible noises from neighbors. 1/10 mile not enough and something with bigger yard should have been your first move, but I know those are expensive.
Sounds like my neighborhood, concert quality speakers and stadium lights, 2 dogs trying to rip out the fence that separates us, a stalker flying over, driving by and dive bombing my yard with his drone, Harley's at 2:30am, random fireworks at 3am, oh and the lonely nosy busybody that runs down her driveway when my grocery delivery arrives... I envy you your new space. God bless you & yours!!!
SAME!
What a dream come true! Peace & Prayers.
What a nice place. I can see so many projects happening. It is truly a shame that some people just do not have the respect for privacy and quietness. But in time that will come back to bite them. Peace and quiet is needed so much at this time.
The Me generation! Rude and inconsiderate neighbors. The new place looks and sounds pretty sweet 😊
Shitty neighbors ruin everything.
Needs to be on a t-shirt.
This is wonderful for you. I wish I could do the same. I have lived in my house for over 20 years. Neighborhood has changed. Surrounded by inconsiderate, irresponsible people on 3 sides. I can't even sit on my deck any more like I always did to enjoy my yard I cultivated.
Our AOAO just raised the maintenance fee by $ 700 per month. My bad cause I have been looking for a small house in the country for years now. Somewhere I can live a quiet life in peace. Soo weird that this video popped up for me today but I think the universe is trying to tell me that change is hard - but sometimes it works out for the best. At least I hope so. Just subscribed to see what happens with you but it looks like a good ( and courageous ) move !
I don’t blame you at all Brother. A Man’s home 🏠 is his Castle and may I add with Peace & Harmony !
Good luck with your new place...God is Good all the time....
Thank you
DANG LOOKS LIKE THE TRUCK COST MORE THAN THE PROPERTY! but i have one similar look into off grid solar
Great choice!! Moved out of the suburbs in 1985!! Built our own houses on no less than 7 acres 3 times! Had a 1500 sq ft shop for Hondas & Toyotas....my " day" job! Now retired in OBX, NC!! 450' from the ocean!! Quiet neighborhood except for the waves lulling you to sleep!! House came with a nice workshop...heat & A/C!!
Sounds wonderful. Thanks so much for watching.
Ahhhh Quietness. Peacefulness. Weight in gold. Exactly what we're aiming for. Just came across this. Awesome !! Perfect timing
Looks like a beautiful piece of property and quite an upgrade!
Beautiful, great move !!!!♥️👍
You are far better off your new home is absolutely gorgeous. And yes,the sound of silence is priceless !
I think you might need to send your old neighbors a Thank You card! (With no return address, mailed from a different state).
Im new, but I’ve subscribed to follow along. I’ve been wanting to sell for a while now. It’s easy to sell, but hard to find a replacement home here in WNC. I want a wood stove or fireplace again so bad! I want to be more in the country again.
Looks perfect to me! 😊
More than likely his old neighbors know how obnoxious they are if they don't that is a frightening . I would definitely write them a letter to purge my mind heart and soul.
Been there done that in 2023 when I retired at 57 - I moved myself 1800 mules back to my home province and bought a log home with a 25’x40’ shop on a 5 acre rural property. I bought a new to me truck and an 8’x16’ trailer and hauled 2 loads up and over Lake Superior to complete the move. Glad I did it and even more grateful that task is behind me.
I stumbled on your video, so sad to hear all this. It’s common everywhere now. NO MORE QUALITY LIFE, NO MORE PIES, OR JUST CUTTING YOUR NEIGHBORS GRASS AS MY DAD STILL DOES. My parents mind their own business and they just keep good manners , kindness and love for their neighbors. I live the same way too. When my neighbors are sick, I spoil them, I wait for any occasion to do an ack of kindness for our neighbors. To all the neighbors reading this….. thank you for sharing love and kindness to one another ♥️. I.B. LANCER, WE ARE YOUR BIGGEST CHEERLEADER 🎉😊
Thank you so much. 👍
Nothing like living out in the country. The peace of the Lord takes over. Congrats.
Thanks for this video. The new property is a fantastic find. Enjoy your new heaven on Earth.
Wow!! Such beautiful surroundings! Congratulations and God bless your new home 🕊💙
I'm surprised you found a buyer. The new neighbors will probably be on an episode of Fear Thy Neighbor in the future.
I was thinking the same thing it would like more information on how long it took to sell the house
Me too!
@@CindyNelson-r9keveryone is moving to Tennessee, it’s a sellers market. Here in Missouri my house almost doubled in value in the last 8 years. Houses on my block sell in two days 3 tops. I see plenty of California, Washington, Arizona, and other states that people are fleeing from.
It took almost exactly one month to sell and a nice young family with five kids bought the place. They probably won’t even notice the neighbors.
I relate to you. Unfortunately I believe lots of people feel the way you do but most of them are unable to move.
If you are someone in that position give it all you got and more to move to a more peaceful and remote piece of land. Soon it will be necessary for the safety of your family and your peace of mind.
Stay free 🪓
Congrats on your move! I just this minute discovered your channel, and immediately subscribed. I love content creators that actually DO stuff. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your new place.
Thank you so much. I'm going to work my hardest to not let you down.
I know exactly what those noises are like. I keep contemplating if I will move again.
I like the older houses. Looks like a beautiful property!
Peace of mind and peace and quiet are everything. I live in a city and although it is historic and people love to visit, living here is a different matter. Noise, dogs(yes even in a city), bad behaviour, grafitti, rubbish, fly tipping, traffic and just downright bad manners. Would love to live where you are now, need a housekeeper? I am a good cook!😊
Looks perfect for you! Enjoy your space and peace 🌲
I have 80 acres of land and my neighbors shoot guns and play extremely loud rap music outside all night, even on school nights, like at 2 AM. The whole world has gone nuts.
Oh man.. see, it doesn't matter how far away they are, bad neighbours will find a way to get under our skin. Good luck to you.
Here a tried and true method I have used. Get some bagpipe music and play it. When the nasty neighbors complain, I tell them that I will shut off the bagpipe music, when they lower or stop playing their music. Seems to work everytime.😂
I had a steel drum CD I would play while I was at work. Nothing more annoying than steel drums.
@@hihatjas9477😂 I used to play this deep bass music when I left my house because my neighbors were so annoying 😂 it’s petty but I don’t care
Good for you, hope your new life brings you much happiness and peace
Good for you. Sadly, neighbors can be a nightmare. By the way, this video is really well done. 👌
Thank you very much. 👍
I hope you find peace! I am thankful I have good neighbors that mind their own and keep peace..I do have a crazy lady that steals everyones dogs a few blocks away but its not right next door! If I did sell and have thought of it bc I am only 5 miles from the gulf and have very expensive homeowners insurance and its a worry every yr that I may not get it...I would just buy some land deep in the hills of Arkansas and put a tiny home on it! Good luck my fellow!
Looks beautiful It's nice having humans in a small town. Nice
Same situation here. Been in our home for almost 35 years. Had great neighbors, until one of them got sick and died. The husband ended up getting remarried and sold the house. Now the new ones suck. They are real hillbillys and proud of it. The adults don't work and the kids don't go to school. He is faking a disability and stays home working on old junk trucks he buys and resells. Most of which do not have mufflers. They love motorcycles and ATV's. Now they are now breeding dogs to boot. They are just oblivious to anyone but themselves. I am 23 months from full retirement benefits with retiree healthcare. We are sticking it out till then. Selling the house we love, and moving the hell away from here. Haven't decided where yet, but will be extremely careful before buying the next one. Did I forget to mention the 4 railroad crossings within earshot of my house?
This is one of the best moving video's I have enjoyed is some time. There are nice neighbors and not so nice neighbors, it is all part of life, and very glad you were able to get away from yours, and any other situation that got you to move. Look forward to some great video's in the future Pal.
i feel for ya. i moved to the country 15 years ago. wouldnt change a thing.
Love your new place! Smart move
Good for you buddy!..I wish you all the best. Good luck and God bless.
Thank you so much. 😊
Hopefully you can enjoy the peace! Good luck with making the house your new home!
Beautiful spot indeed!
Wow! I like your new place. Plus, you just quietly moved! Wow!
I didn’t see a point in making a big fuss about it. I did at one point tell them that they were the reason I was moving. I thought that was sufficient. Thanks for watching.
Bless your heart.....Home Sweet Home!
Your video spoke to me. It has encouraged me to stay on track with a plan to move. It looks as tho you moved yourself, and in the end, sometimes that's all we've got as options. Kudos for sharing your journey. Love your new place!
Good job finding your slice of peace. The tranquility almost oozes right out of the screen!
Right? It’s been so nice and peaceful here. Thanks for watching 👍
I just happened across your video! Peace and quiet, yes!!! New subscriber here! ❤
Right on thank you.👍
I have a half acre and it takes 40 minutes to get groceries but the only noise I hear is the birds singing and sometimes the woodpecker joins in and plays the drums been here 20 years and had many offers cause their are mountain's all around me and I love it. I hope you can do the same.
Wow, what a beautiful place. So much better. Very happy for you!
Fellow British Columbian here, directly south east of you. We left downtown Vancouver in 2020 for 1/2 an acre in the Creston valley. I feel gratitude every single day for making the move here. We are very familiar with your area and are so happy for you that you've found your mini estate of peace and quiet. Enjoy!!
Hey! Thanks for watching. And I know your area quite well too. I’ve been to Yak and back. lol.
HOLY SHIT MAN..... I literally have BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!
Bought a house on what I thought was an average American street near the historic district.... turns out it's a block away from a bar that then decides to go through a full renovation and turns into an arena level (acoustically) music venue.... not to mention the party animal 22 year old neighbor couple that literally were throwing ORGIES in their back garage.... every Weeknd.
Oh, and that doesn't even begin to cover the diesel pick up truck dude bro drag strip that the intersection was out front.....
I renovated the house while I lived there, I sunk a year and a half and $55,000 into the damn place. I couldn't sell it this year. Nobody wanted it. Now I rent it out.... the tenants haven't complained about noise at all... maybe I'm crazy.
I escaped the small town life, and ended up with about 400 acres in the mountains. I grew up there on my grandparent's properties. My nearest neighbor is my aunt, who lives 1/2 mile up the road. There are 6 miles of National Forest lands on the other side. Listening to the creeks run at night is so peaceful. If I want to get away from home, I just go up on the mountain about a mile away, and stay there for a while. Plenty of streams, wildlife, firewood, and peace of mind.
Good for you….we are doing the same soon from South Florida to South Carolina. The only thing keeping me sane is knowing we have a plan to get out. Enjoy every second….without a barking dog and drum set.
I just found your channel. I look forward to all your new projects.
I moved from fla. for the same reason except for the drums, my neighbor raised poodles
I just found your channel and immediately subscribed! I totally understand about noisy neighbors driving you away. Your new place looks great and peaceful! I look forward to updates. Thanks for sharing
Thank you and thanks for watching. I’m working on the next video right now. See you soon.
My neighbor is a narcicist. He is also a drunk. His daughter is 911 operator an he calls sheriff dept on me and other neighbors and has us arrested for hitting him with a bucket (which never happened) after he hit me with a bat. He comes on my property and tells me to stand up and take my clothes off. Then he sprayed my garden with round up and poisoned my dog. Have tried to sell and so far no luck. I am almost 70 and live in constant fear.
Jesus. Get out!
I think it's so cool 😎 that rainbow greeted you in the sky over the road! That place looks very peaceful.
Yes, the rainbows have been awesome. And with the exception of a the odd logging truck that drives by it has been nice and quiet here. Thank you so much for watching.
Been there...lived urban my whole life. Last property - barking dogs on three sides -- but it was the non-stop party ghetto blaster music across the street that drove me out. I felt blessed I managed to sell the house. Still live urban, but this house has only one neighbor behind me.
Nice new setup! Very envious of your shops and the peace and quiet. Enjoy😊
How hard was it to sell? I mean… when people come to see house, do t they hear the noise? And you have to disclose some of it… at least some states anyway. Was it tough to sell? But good on you! We left city for 5 acres in rural town. Love the quiet
I don’t have to disclose anything about the neighbors. I only legally have to disclose any alterations to the structure or any problems that I know of with the structure. That’s it. Anything outside of my property lines is up to the buyer to research. My buyers had five kids, so I’m not sure that that noise is gonna bother them.
Looks like you made an awesome decision. Much better than what you left behind. Congratulations 🎉
I hope so!
A piece of paradise indeed. Lovely new property. Congratulations.
Maybe it was where I considered it was the breaking point or because we have had kids that have drummed.. but I laughed out loud when you came to that part! 😄 What a lovely area you moved to and what a bonus the outbuildings are! ❤
Very happy for you.
Congratulations!! Your new place looks stunning and serene. I just retired two days ago so now my husband and I can make our own similar move to somewhere peaceful.
Peace be with you.
Well, congratulations to you. Thank you so much for watching and good luck finding a nice peaceful area to move to.
It sounds like they are doing it on purpose. Good luck with the move.
Loved your video and your music. You got it goin on!
Thank you so much.
You're so blessed!!! And I'm jealous - it's perfect! To have two shops?! Wow!! I can smell already smell the woodshop🥰 And those apples?! Yum!!!
I'm so happy for you and only hope I can find that level of joy I felt just watching this. And I subscribed. Looking forward to your videos.
Good for you! Good Luck, look forward to seeing your future!
Thank you and thanks for watching. My plan is to just relax and make videos. See you soon.
My husband and I just sold my parents place we inherited and were living in. Old neighbors were great..new neighbors I'm a vacationer and I can do what I want..well we rent from an older lady in her bunkhouse on a 118 acre ranch in mi. We are redoing an old log home on lake mi on an island and people are awesome. Big project..needs alot of repair..but we are blessed..totally understand 😊😢😊
Change we are grateful for now.
Happy for you.
Thank you
We've lived here 35+ years. The sweet old lady who lived across the road passed, and her great grandson moved in with his family. They're piling up crap all over the place, and the wooded view is destroyed.
Incredibly beautiful country and property. You're a lucky man. Congratulations on your fresh start!! God bless you.
Thank you.
You're so lucky, you could sell your house and move. Not saying neighbors you had to deal with weren't bad or a problem, but we've got worse here. Our neighbor stole cat food out of our car (the ONE time it was unlocked temporarily); put dryer lint in our front yard & on the front porch; untied our fencing & front gate in our yard; & ordered a dumpster put next to our fence (I had to call and report it, have them pick it up). I haven never talked to these neighbors, never look their way or wave hello even. We have no idea why they are doing this to us. We are too poor to move. They also get in our yard at night & talk in loud voices. It's horrible.
So beautiful - thank you for sharing it with us
You’re so welcome. Thanks for watching. 👍
4:56 I love this music!
Thanks
Hi, I stumbled upon your video and found it very interesting. You do have a slice of heaven at your new place.😊
It’s a town of 700 and my second closest neighbour is a tiny church. Does that count?
@@i.b.lancer yes of course! Beautiful place enjoy.
I got sick of noisy neighbors a few years ago and so I moved. Now my nearest full-time neighbor is over a mile away!
I'm 58, the greatest thing people can do is find their soecial part of peace and quiet.
I have 2 properties in the mountains of Arizona. One oroperty is secluded with my nearest neighbor being 1/2 a mile away.
I can hear the wings of birds that fly close by.
Neighbors waving to you when drive by.
When in town people saying hello as you pass by.
This was wild to me when i first bought the property.
Enjoy the peace and quiet.
Beautiful video...well done. Great music. Congratulations
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that and thank you so much for watching.
Just found your channel & am looking forward to watching your channel grow!!
Thank you very much. Working on the next video right now.
I love your 50's house and property. Don't know where you are, but paradise comes to mind. The only sound I love more than silence is birdsong. So much hard work and still time for a 360 view of heaven. Appreciate it. ♡
Thank you so much. 😊
Congrats! Would much rather have the peace and tranquility of the new house opposed to your previous one 👌🏽
Oh yeah... It's much quieter here. Thanks for watching.
From city chaos to countryside quiet. I bet you slept very soundly your first night there. Congrats on your new home! 💜
Sleeping great! Thanks. 🙏
Well my friend that looks like a little bit of heaven to me. Sometimes a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do right. Wishing you all the very best for the future from old England. Subbed.
Thank you.
I forgot when I subbed here. Congrats. It looks excellent homestead!
Thank you.
This looks so much better for you. Sorry you had to deal with unrespectful neighbors but this could be a blessing in disquise for you. Wishing you the very best.❤ 8:05 subscribed!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching.
Best wishes for you new beginning
It's beautiful!
