- Modern Warfare III is almost here and one of the most common video requests I've been getting is a "Best Settings" video so today I go through all of my settings and share what I feel is important to change to have your game looking and playing as good as possible! What do you think of the setting options we have in MWIII? Are there any settings you wish we had?

that’s actually a great feature, my BBController is old(got it when ww2 came out) so its nice to know how much DZ is on it
I’m curious, when i keep it low, my left stick shifts unless it’s at 8, the right stick is fine tho. But is 8 too high? I know he said we should keep it as low as possible

@@derrickgaston4648 8 shouldn't be too bad. The left stick drifting isn't quite as critical as the right one because that's your aim.
The most helpful thing to me on this video was changing my deadzone. Took just a bit to adjust too and I noticed a big difference. Can't believe I've been playing these cods without doing that. Definitely helps with those more precise adjustments when aiming.
Maybe not directly tied to gameplay, but the color settings in Accessibility are great. You can turn up the saturation on the entire game, making it feel a lot more colorful, vibrant, and imo appealing.

@@Chrissy717 you could in the beta, then I found out the feature has been in MW2. Not sure if it's been there the entire time, or got added at some point, but you can do this right now. It really makes maps like Mercado pop.

Yeah, put it on "Filter 2" and enable the "Affected" button for both options I forgot what they were called and max out the slider for the colours! @@kwleeds

Where u can adjust ur thumbstick movement threshold, i set my left stick max movement, to 50%.
Or even less.
It just lets u strafe better, it gets u to full movement speed, with less stick input.

You didn't mention changing mini map colours. I always make enemy dots yellow so they're easier to see

Motion sensor is basically the gyro aiming introduce earlier. Like moving your controller with your hands to aim.
For anyone struggling with aim assist, I changed from dynamic black ops to standard default and it felt 1000x better
One critical setting that I found was destroying my aim for MW3 was the advanced setting under the horizontal and vertical aim assist settings, which was erroneously set to 1.4 for me, making my normal aim setting of 6 way too fast.

Auto tac sprint makes a huge difference. A little tough to get used to at first, but your movement abilities increase greatly using it. Especially when doing quick lateral jumps

This is just straight up rubbish, I use it becasue i was starting to get hand pain from constantly spamming the stick to do quick jumps and slides but its objectively slower than a click. Like its not opinion, its a fact that the input after you start moving your finger is longer than the single click.
@pododododoehoh3550 ur saying there is a delay before auto tac engages? It should be instantaneous and sounds like a bug. There was an issue at launch but it engages instantly for me now and did before in warzone and MW19 and MW2
Was manual fire behavior always in the settings of Cod? I don't remember seeing that from previous call of duties.I find it's really handy for single tap modes or weapons, would love to hear what you think

How long until a "map spots" video? Edit: Also I noticed you didn't cover the L2+R2 deadzones--those are important as well because it controls how far down you have to press before you get an input.
I saw in the config file that it has Raytracing in it... perhaps you could cover this in a future video on something about performance/graphics settings?
I wish they would let us fully customise the HUD i wish I could turn off the kill feed and the kill streak pop ups in the top right
within the gameplay tab there is an option which allows for autofire semi auto guns by holding down the trigger. I tried that within the campaign and it looks like there is a certain cap to which this will actually work. Would be nice to no how many rpm this feature supports. it feels like it is arround 100
That kinda ruins the point of a semi gun imo. I do think it's fine with Burst weapons though.
@@eobardthawn6903 playing zombies with a semi gets pretty hard on the trigger finger after a while.

Dual sense edge controllers made tweaking the controller settings super confusing. I can fine tune everything from the ps5 settings then have to find a setting which works well within COD as well
Wow. I'm primarily a mouse and keyboard player with pretty much no shooter experience on a controller and I actually feel like I can hold my own now. I was trying to use the "focused" aim assist to get used to the controller, but switching it to default (among the other changes) made such a huge difference

10:32-10:34 that's funny, the picture on the right showing the enemy with a red outline and in next image, ally with a blue outline. Seems like it was in their plan to add outline to enemies and allies but they moved away from it.

i’m pretty sure that there’s a piece of gear that outlines the players for you when you ads but i might be wrong
Should be a default feature in my opinion, just like the ability to pickup ammo from killed players! Scavenger has been a crutch perk for 14 years! @@CODJoma
Some of the content creators that got to play early in august mentioned that this was present. It’s a massive shame they removed it, at least there are nameplates still. This would be a game changer for warzone especially
Ace can you do a hard-core mode video? Seems like a lot if the 5.56 guns are 1 shot kills?

I usually have it on tritantopia and colour filter 2 . Just makes the game pop more imo .

Felt like it was so different compared to previous titles during the beta... First time having that problem

I find having slide cancels sprint to off feels way more fluid since you will automatically go back into sprinting at the end of a full slide rather then staying in crouch.
Yeah, having it off feels like MW1, maybe that's why it feels more fluid, muscle memory?
Dude I think this is the issue I’ve been having, staying in crouch after a slide has gotten me killed so many times or prevented me from killing someone. Will be turning this off today, thank you
I think they gotta fix the sliding is delayed, I think it’s because you have press to slide and hold to dive so the game is unsure and makes the sliding a bit delayed
the delay goes away once you unbind the dive button
There is a setting for that to change in the ganepay controller settings!
Ace - How did you determine L2 and R2 dead zones to be 6?
Testing the shotguns the tac stance hard aim is the only way to get a non barrelstuffing one shot
That’s interesting that you turn the compass off. Sometimes I can get wall bangs with it by lining up the dot on the compass at 0°
A great feature that majority of players don’t utilize
I find that I can do this much more accurately and efficiently with the mini map
Do we have to set all of these again with the new game, or would our settings from MW2 slide over since they technically launch from the same app?
From what I experienced with the campaign every setting from MW2 was the same in MW3
Doesn't the compass tell you the name of the area of the map still? I honestly don't remember from the beta if theyre still doing that
Hey Ace, are you going to be doing brand new gun guides for the MW2 weapons or are they going to be the same as in the previous game?
I assume the settings from MW2 will carry over and won't be wiped?
I have tactical setting for button layout. When I’m ADS and shooting, I easily go to prone without wanting to. I don’t mind that at times but most of the time specially when I’m trying to pick someone off at long distance I end up not killing the player as I go prone. Is there a way to reduce this?
Your controller is bad or you're pressing it to hard
I'm having issues when some games the ads sight is fine. Then it goes to were it stretches out and and it's all small. It does it everytime I play. But will do it like I said in one game. Fix itself then a few games later go back. I'm on ps5. I have a pic of it. Wish I could post it here.

Im new to controllers as a life long kbam player. I found starting controller settings as focusing aim assist with 4-4 sens and .85 ads multiplier to be a good way to get your thumbs muscle memory and reps. Slowly bump up sensitivities as you start winning every gun fight. Eventually you can change aim assist to default

gotta love the fact my PlayStation 1 had zero stick drift but in 2023 on PS5 you need to spend over $100 on a upgraded controller to eliminate it

Although PlayStation users didn’t get to use gyro in MW2 in the campaign, they finally let us in MW3! I may just play the MW2 campaign to get a familiarity with the AA options (not that I ever plan on using it in multiplayer).
Gyro was in MW2, I've been using it for half a year now.

I always keep controller vibration on, I hate it when I’m firing something, I don’t feel it. However, it would be nice if it doesn’t vibrate when I get hit

My main issue with MW3 is that there is STILL no option for Xbox and PC players to disable crossplay in the in-game settings. Playstation does have this option, yet the playerbase of Xbox and PC are big enough to handle it but we are neglected. We can only disable crossplay in the Xbox settings itself but that is a bad way because you will only play against people who did the same thing and not many people know about this. How hard can it be to give this option to everyone….
Easy reason behind this is that Xbox is also Windows, aka pc, so on Xbox, we have the ability to plug in a keyboard and mouse on like 75% of games, and it just works
PlayStation wants to completely seperate itself from the pc player base

Edit: to answer the question, it’s pretty hard, because of the Microsoft store is also on pc, a purchase works both on pc and xbox for most games, this is one of them, considering the 69 million dollar acquisition that Microsoft just got

Xbox could separate by input instead of platform, that'd be based AF.

When I followed this video, I initially saw the slide and drive behavior just like in the video.
Now I changed something and I don't know what, but now it says: invert slide and dive behavior instead of slide and dive behavior.
I only have the options here to choose between standard and inverted.
the options as in the video have disappeared. I would like to have this setting on Slide Only, but that option is gone!!

For those complaining about cross play, go into your Xbox settings, there is literally crossplay settings on / off in the Xbox’s setting

I can’t change button layout .When I try to “edit button layout” it takes me back to lobby. It’s greyed out along with “flip triggers” anyone have this problem ?
To your knowledge, is there any way to separate the dive and slide? I know you can turn one off at a time. But could I put slide on B and dive on A for example?

Change button layout is glitched.. it kicks you back to the menu and the layout is impossible to change. Very frustrating how do you fix this

This may have been mentioned before, I don’t know, but whenever I go to edit my button layout, I get kicked off the screen. I have been playing COD for 20 years and I’m having to use R2 to shoot and L2 to aim. It’s so annoying

Can't figure out why they removed the health bar. It was such a great feature. Loved it in CW and was glad it returned but for some reason it's gone.

Dude my KD literally went up by like .2 once I started using a square minimap... I've been missing so much!
Set safe area to as small as possible so mini map is closer to center screen rather than far up in corner.
