@ Szabó, interesting and coincidentally enough, I've been studying Hungarian on the side for 7 years now, and at second glance of your name I realized "That's Hungarian!" on account of the common Hungarian last name and that the last name is written first! Hahaha that's so great! Egészségünkre! 🍷😁
No matter how many times I hear it (and I've been a Skynyrd fan since the 70's) it never fails to rip! And to think Alan Collins was only 17 when he wrote that! A-fucking-mazing! Nicely done, sir, and I love the Firebird!
Thanks so much, mate! Yeah, that original solo is an incredible piece of art! I'm just outlining it here, but I really should learn it note by note... so much to learn from that.
I have been in the market loosely for a Firebird. I've watched your video many times now, I really dig the sound and feel you're getting out of it. Thanks for posting it, and for firming up my decision that a Firebird is my next axe. 👍
Nice solo bro. Love the Pelham Blue firebird VII.. it's one of my bucket list guitars. As for now I have a rim bursted natural firebird V that is amazing.
Thanks, Sean! Just improvising, though. Never learned the actual solo :). It's a Firebird VII from 2003ish through a Bondi FX Sick As Overdrive into my old 1966 Fender Pro Reverb hooked up to the UAD Oxbox for silent recording into the SSL2 Interface. Cheers!
Excellent guitar .!. Truly overrated song that wasn't that great to begin with (there were far better southern rock jams at the time) & was played to death decades ago. Still, cool guitar ☺️
I really dig how you spiced it up with alterations and additional licks. It's an amazing take on such a classic
Thanks so much!!
I agree, that while staying true to the roots it is also important to add a personal touch to it!

That’s a badass bird and some badass licks! Been wanting one for a while, still saving…now I’m jonesing after watching this, great job👍

Sweetwater has Epiphone Firebirds for $649
Did you get it? 😊
@@chaskiandcie yes!
Cool having those three mini hb's.
Yeah, the middle one brings a nice out of phase flavor to the middle position on the switch. Almost stratty then.
This thing sounds so damn good , cannot believe what I‘m hearing
Thanks! It's an incredible guitar :)
i love your tone! it sounds so good next to the record!
Thanks a ton, mate!! 😊
Respect the clams
Awesome playing sir!! Great alternate version.
Thanks a lot sir!
this guitar is literally older than me , AND STILL ROCKİNG
guitars are like wine, the older the better
Well I‘m from 1978, so it‘s kind of a „new“ guitar to me 🤣🤣. But you‘re right of course. I sometimes forget that 2003 was twenty years ago :)
Damn that bird sure is on fire!
Thanks! It‘s an incredible guitar!
Love this solo, your take on it is really good man!! 🔥🤘🏻
Thanks a ton, mate!! 😀
I can’t handle this much FREEDOM *bald eagle sounds*
Hats off to your playing though, some really tasty licks in there!
Thanks mate!
The whole bald eagle freedom thing is not that apparent here in the EU when you play or listen to Skynyrd, but I know what you mean :-).
LOVE THAT GUIT!
thx! yeah, it's beautiful!
a noble effort
amazing rendition!
Thanks so much!
Oh yes! Love it when people improvise over riffs! Nice job!!
Thx mate!

I wouldn‘t need the middle PU tbh :). But it looks cool.
Absolutely amazing.

Free Bird on a Firebird
So clean
Thx a lot, Luke!
Very good. Loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks a lot!
well that was heatedly fantastic to listen to on a minus 32C afternoon in the great white north....rise from the ashes, baby!
Thanks so much!! Wow, we only had a few below zero here in Austria.
Freebird, with some Ace Frehley.
thx!! just loosely improvising here :)

Cool
一発撮りかな?!久しぶりにかっこいいプレイ見ました。最近は当て振り多んで。
NICE👍🔥
Thanks a lot! Don‘t know about the original solo but I did a one take :). Just leaning on the original of course, didn‘t try to copy it note by note.
i feel myself as a spinning rat xd
😅
Now buy a fire colored bird and reshoot this to complete the circle. Kidding aside everything about this is epic.
Ha!! Bank account says no 😂! But thanks a lot my friend!
sounds great.
Thanks!
Very nicely done my friend 👍
Thanks!
Holey shit man that's sick 🤘🤘🤘

Sounds amazing, what amp are you using for this? Well played sir.
Thanks a lot, Geralt! I'm using a 66 Fender Pro Reverb into an UAD Oxbox. Bondi FX Sick As for additional dirt here.
Excellent job
Thanks a lot, Kathryn!
Nicely done! Such a classic solo. Your Firebird sounds great, what are you playing through?
Thanks, Sean! Just improvising, though. Never learned the actual solo :).

Certainly a flaming free bird.
Thanks!! 🙌

Sorry mate! Just noodling on the bridge pickup here.
wowwwwwwwwww
Thanks Levi!
FUCK YEAH!!!!!!
Thx!!
What came first? Fire Bird or Free Bird?
Haha! Well we‘ll never know :)
Great playing and tone!
Thanks!
The alternate licks you play aren't my cup of tea but gotta give credit where it's due
Yeah, I never learnt the actual solo and just improvise here. Thx!
nice playing, do you like the 3 pickups
I'm on the front an back pickup most of the time to be honest. But the out of phase quacky stratty sound of the middle position is a nice bonus.
I don't know but for mme it sounds kinda wrong on firebird. But after all guitar sounds great
Well I‘m on a Strat normally 😅. Thanks!
it was played on a firebird...
Want……
Duane Allman and Ed King would be proud

Amp? 🎉😂
Fender Pro Reverb from 1966 into UAD Oxbox. I think I also used a Bondi FX Sick As for gainboost.
im sorry but the spinnig rat
Just learned about the whole spinning rat thing. I had no idea!! 😂
Too much gain
Maybe :)
you need to learn original first, this is just noodling
It is! This was just me trying out a new guitar. Never learnt the actual solo and just played by ear and heart here.
Excellent guitar .!.
Truly overrated song that wasn't that great to begin with (there were far better southern rock jams at the time) & was played to death decades ago. Still, cool guitar ☺️
Thanks! It‘s actually not that big of s song here in the EU. People know it but it‘s nowhere near as overplayed as in the USA.
Heathen!
