This is how you do a friggen demo. Some chord stuff. Some well felt inprov. Clean and dirty. Great playing and great tone
That is some of the sweetest tones ever!!! Omg.
Thank you so much for this great demo of Firebird VII tones. Had to flip thru a bunch that never really showed the the pup selection they were using. Again, thanks man. 👏🏻
I was looking for good Firebird VII demo for soooo long
Thank you
Nice demo, cool playing! I’ve been thinking about this after seeing one a few days ago. Yep, I want one. Thanks for that excellent demo!
Seen so many of your adverts, cool to see you talking!
Great demo! I dig your playing. Cheers from the West Coast.
I’m proud to share I have a FBVII. It’s not like a telecaster because I have one of those too. The FB VII is easily the quirkiest guitar I have.
thats one hell of a pretty guitar
Super cool guitar. Awesome video. ✌🏼
You rock bro!!! Well done!
This is my favorite tone video ive heard in so long hahah. I have a blackface 67’ and that just sold me on a firebird.
Wow, awsome demo, great tones there and playing , this guitar kicks some ass . Nice one Alex.
your playing kicks ass as well my friend!
Super guitar👍
Damn, killin it man. sick playing and tone
sounds great! very unique sound ...can't tell if i'm hearing a strat or a HB guitar, lol ...great playing to as usual Lewis!
Cheers Daniel! They're really Fendery sounding for a Gibson 😂
@@AlexHamilton BTW, so you still have your Ceriatone amps? Your videos were instrumental in my decision to purchase the FM ME OTS. Cheers!
@@danielcgomez No the Ceriatone's are long gone. They're incredibly well built amps but I found out after a while that dumble style amps arent for me. Always worth trying these things though :)
Man, that's sweet!!
I played Alan Haynes old Firebird in the late 70s, and the neck was a baseball bat! Never played another since, but damn if they dint around great for blues to me.
Great demo. You've sold me on the reissue Super. SUBBED
Cheers Roger! I'd love to play a bird with a big neck, they're normally a bit skinny for me!
Not mini humbuckers. Those are firebird pickups. It's totally different. Firebird pickups have no pole pieces.
Yeah, I used to think they were minis until I watched Five Watt World’s video on the history of the Firebird!
- Just let me notice that the Firebird pup and the mini-humbucker is two totally different one.
Wow such great tone & phrasing! subbed! Just found a lefty VII (import) with no pickups. Looking for some FB style pups that won't break the bank... 3 of them!
4:28-4:34, Nice lick,like Arthur Menezes
i wonder if its hard to wire the middle position to only have the middle pickup active, i love firebirds but also love the single middle pickup sound. a 5 way switch would be a cool mod too
Check out Phil Manzanera, of Roxy Music. He's been playing a 65 Fbird 7 for years now.
Brian Jones played a firebird like that, his was a sunburst.
The right guitar for blues and southern rock a la Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Trés Phil Manzanera....Very cool
Hey that’s a badass last name ya got there
👍🤘
Are those the stock ceramic pickups? I hope so because I have a 2007 firebird on the way and this thing sounds perfect!!!!!
Hi there!! How about the neck man? Is this a heavy neck that pending down or it fits up? Because this guitar has a big headstock and big tuners, so that’s why I asked this question, I think this neck it’s falling down when it’s playing
How does the neck feel compared to a regular Firebird
That guitar is so hot! Did you experience it going out of tune easily? That's what I been reading about it in some places, I never got to try one myself.
Schaller roller bridge and lubricant (Music Nomad is good) on the nut with string changes. It's still not perfect, but those two things improve the stability quite a lot. You go from using the vibrola and knocking it badly out of tune immediately to using the vibrola moderately over a few songs and only going slightly out.
I own one I can’t make mine sound this good used it though a Marshall silver jubilee and sounds bad will try in my twin
Def crank the lows and mids!
