Great ideas! But I would love to see a view of the whole cake to see the total effect. And then a collage shot at the end of all the cakes.
This is exactly what I was looking for! You're psychic. I would like to say a big thank you to Beth. She's the best presenter for Wilton. She's knowledgeable and its like a friend talking to you. She's a natural.
If you explained how to do these patterns and what tips would make the different patterns, it would've helped a beginner like myself more
I agree. I want to know HOW to decorate my birthday cake.
Same. I want to see which tips make which design
Yeah I agree
If you watch the video, the tip numbers are on the screen with each design example! If you want to know how to decorate a cake, then type that in the search. This was about cake borders, as titled..
I so needed this video. I work in a bakery and I'm the only decorator now, the other 2 quit! I'm the least experienced one too lol
I only have a couple hours to do orders and try fill the case and do back ups, and I was doing too much of the same ol', plain ol' to make it easier!
These look super easy and give variety and uniquness! Thanks sooo much!
I am literally in the same situation working in a grocery store bakery! I usually refer to pintrest and RUclips for some extra creativity, but I don't think I'll ever get my piping to be so clean
+laceygoesrawer
yeah I work in a grocery bakery too and they only give me about 22 hours a week and only 3 days to cake decorate! I alternate baking too.
2 decorators and our Team Lead quit lol
no offense but I find that so annoying. there are so many people with actual skills who should have that job instead.
greimalkin Too bad I still have the job!
greimalkin And we have been looking for an experienced cake decorator but they either A. already have a job somewhere or B. aren't looking for a new job.
How do you expect people to get experience? Just raw talent? Get real!!
So many darling ideas! I like the tips with lots of holes in it. It makes such a cute pattern!
+Tara Jones That's a grass tip.
Thank you, I can't wait to practice these!
These are so pretty! I'm going to bake a cake and I was wondering how to decorate it when you uploaded the video! Thanks
Wow! These look really cool!
love them all! thanks!
wilton this was amazing if I practice because I'm not used to piping icing like you guys because I don't decorate cakes as often as you guys. I have every icing tips you guys sell. So I hope I'm able to do it.🍰❤
I need to try these! They look so cool! :O
No wonder you win cupcake wars! (Just aired here in Australia) these borders are so creative and pretty. Thanks for sharing them 😃
Very nice! Thank you
Thank you so much, so helpful
awesome video I just realized I have been in a generic border rut lol These are all very nice 👍
looks great! thanks
Thank you! Please keep doing these videos!
I love it they're all so cute

me encanta. Maravilloso uau!!!
some of them are mind blowing...
Cute!! I really liked the one that uses a bunch of different colors and tips, I could see using that on a cake for one of my daughters!
Your very welcome
I love your videos

Really great
Be blessed dear l love that
More of such video please 👍

Thanks 🙌🏻👍🏻

cool
can you show me the way to make butter cream perfect
Do u have a store plz answer
👍
Btw for those who are wondering, the first tip is a 2D tip i think, not 2B, its a totally diff nozzle.
HI Beth, the first of these borders is done with a 2B tip according to the writing on the screen, but when I looked that tip up, it is a basketweave tip. Could you mean a 2D? This would make more sense to me. Thanks
I did not catch the error until after I purchased 2B and tried the ruffled border as on the demo. I’m glad to now understand why I wasn’t successful. Are there any great styles I can use 2B for? It is very different than any others I have used thus far. Thanks!
como obtener ese betun igual?
yass
plss show us what kinds of nozzles you use for each icing
Hi! You can also watch our Facebook Live where we showed a close up of the piping tips and with more explanation: bit.ly/2qKv0dT Thanks!
Border #14 is made from which nozzle ???
The first three borders are shown with tip 2b but when I click on 2b in your bio it looks like a basket weave tip not a star. trying to do border 2 and I really would like to know the tip number. please, thank you! awesome video btw
+Elizabeth Velezmoro I believe it's a 1M or a 2D (probably the 2D). I've asked the same question.
hi beth
For the first two decorating ideas, that tip looks more like the 1M rather than the basketweave 2B tip as for sure that tip on the border of the cake (the one she did first) would not appear like that?
+Michael Turner I agree with you - it's either a 1M or a 2D I believe. I have asked the same question.
Some really nice ideas, thanks Beth👍🏻, the only negative was all the holes in the buttercream ?....it ruined the look, maybe whipped too much?
How to do you avoid the holes in the buttercream? I am the definition of amateur. Lol
the longer the buttercream sits, the more airy it gets. mix it well before piping or icing a cake
Hola donde puedo comprar las duyas rusas
👍👍👍👏👏👏
I'm pretty sure the first one is wilton 2D not 2B I looked it up and cannot find the same
does anyone know which shade of blue she used in this vid? I haven't got a clue
taking a guess here, but it looks teal. use like a light hawaiian blue with the smallest amount of a lime, light or neon green.
Why are there so many holes (or craters?) in the icing, which I'm assuming is buttercream?
72cmg it is meringue butter cream I believe.
My favorite was number 14
I so needed this video my mom asked me to make a cake for Tomorrow when my poppop comes over and I only have like, 5 hours to decorate it!😑 I looked at her and was like "bruh" but being me I just said " ya sure" 😖
Thank you sooooooooo much!

Btw Wilton
Why don't you link the girls that do it? Or am I just not seeing it
When I go out shopping I normally get new baking supplies and I don't find any tips for my piping bag
You can get them on the Wilton website
Places like Hobby Lobby and Walmart have decorating supplies. :-)
You can go to Michael's. Lots of tips there
With the camera so close, it's hard for me to imagine what the overall effect is; it would be more helpful if I could see a shot of the finished cake, then the close ups of how it's done.
On piping help tip #2 & 3, they weren't using piping tip 2B it was 2D.
That does look to be correct, thank you for catching that!
very early for me lol
The #9 looks like spaghetti
“I’m going to show you FIFTEEN ways to jazz up your cake... right after lunch. Cue the generic virtually useless showreel.” Sadly, the presenter never got to SHOW her fifteen wonderful techniques - she was mauled by horde of disgruntled viewers on her way to Taco Bell.
Didn't understand a thing
