i just recently got interested in this and tried watching a BUNCH of different people. you have the most elegant and beautiful results, lovely to watch you do the piping, and the designs are beautiful and stunning. your explanations are top notch as well, so simple and easy to understand. i really feel you give everything needed but the actual practice with our own hands. amazing work, amazing contributions to this space, thank you. i also appreciate that you don't waste time, and are very concise. also, that you don't use a bunch of filler words like UHM or ACTUALLY. thank you, MK!
Great tutorial. The demonstration of adding the frosting to the bag by folding most of it on your hand is very helpful, keeping the work area neat and the frosting in the bag instead of the hand.
Thank you very much ❣️ These last weeks, I was hesitating : should I buy some material, and start learning how to pipe ? I’m so clumsy, there are so many piping tips… now that I know I don’t need to buy a lot of them, and that I can wipe the errors, i’m ready to try ; and your enthusiastic and soothing tone (I don’t even know how it can be both) really help - plus, of course, how clearly you explain what to do
Aww thank you so much Biale! So glad to hear you enjoyed the tutorial and are feeling confident in trying some piping out yourself :D I'm sure you'll do awesome!
Worse than being new to cake decorating and not knowing where to start.. I am in pastry chef school and in 7 weeks we start cake baking and decorating and I have absolutely NO IDEA how to even start. I have made cakes before but those were just thrown together with some grocery store hard candy decorations. I LOVE your tutorials. You have a great knack at teaching and are really easy to follow. Keep it up. I won't be able to stay on the Presidents 4.0 list without you!
Oh my Goodness, I love how she explained how to prepare the piping bag in such detail..I have been using piping bags filled with buttercreme to write on birthday cakes. I was never shown how to properly prepare a piping bag, so I would always end up making a huge mess and have dirty hands! This makes much more sense to me..Thank you for explaining this MK!
A tip I was taught is to get some cling wrap and put your cream into a rectangle and wrap it, snip the tip off one corner and put that into your piping bag facing the piping tip. It's a lot neater and easier than trying to stuff it into the bag, but it is also wasteful.
It's actually pretty easy. The issue most people have is that the first time they attempt to do it is on a finished cake they're making for some special occasion that they are terrified they're going to ruin. Just whip up some whipped cream sometime and practice on the bottom of an upside down cake pan. That way you're not all nervous and jittery and hesitant and you can experiment with different patterns and see what you like and have the confidence that you know exactly what you're doing once you've got an actual cake in front of you ready to decorate.
I started baking few months ago although I didn't go to a baking school I also started to loose hope but you really motivated me a big thumbs up to you 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you for sharing. Now I know where to start. I've been wondering which tips to buy to start out. Your videos are always informative. Keep on caking
Awesome. Thank you!! You made it soooo easy to understand. I’m looking forward to trying different designs. I can now try to design the rose cake that I think is so pretty because you made it easy to learn. A small “e”. Thank you!! New subscriber! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hi sister, I tried this cake yday.. it came out so good... Everybody at home just loved it. Thanks for sharing. I literally went so many times to the kitchen to look at the cake & wondered if I really baked it😂
I have been asked to make 2 cakes for a baby shower too and I have ZERO decorating skills...plan to practice on parchment paper and hopefully it'll come out great..im planning on getting some edible decorations to go on it, maybe some butterflies to place on the sides and a few on the top. With this tutorial, hopefully it'll work out well...
Ngā mihi, thank you so much! This is really helpful and informative, its a big outlay to buy nozzles that are a good size, and it’s been really hard to know what tips to get, this is so good because now I can start with 1 or 2 nozzles and still achieve a range of designs and styles.
I just came across this and what a helpful video. You make it look easy. I am starting a small business and will be selling very basic cakes (I can bake but not decorate), so I will be ordering this Wilton and following your every move. You are so sweet for doing this video.
It's really cool how you set your pipping gear up I like the why you prepared ialthough I seemed you was having a little difficulty with the roses try getting the all the bubbles out the frosting
You're video is quite informative. Taught me a lot. I'm going to attempt the e-tecnique for the bottom tier of a wedding cake I'm baking next week. Hope it ends up as pretty as yours...
I'm new to this channel and I've subscribed coz I'm planning to learn about piping so i could use the piping items i bought out of curiousity 😅 hoping to learn a lot❤
Ahhh this is gonna be so helpful! I'm still very much a noob at cake decorating and the way you showed\described how to do these made them seem less intimidating! Thank you! ❤
Hi Pamela! You're so welcome! I post videos every week so remember to turn on the notification bell so that you're updated whenever I upload a new video :D
Very much impressed tried your buttercream recipe really worked well on my cake my daughter’s are so happy…. Just have 1 query can we put cream of tartar in buttercream as a stabilizer? When to put?
Yay so happy to hear you enjoyed the buttercream Swati! :) If you manage to spare a minute I'd be so grateful if you could leave a review on my blog for the recipe :D. And yes you can totally add cream of tartar to the egg whites before whipping it for extra stability :)
You're welcome! It really depends on what you're comfortable with and how much piping you have to do. A smaller bag is easier to work with for beginners, but then you do need to refill them more often if you are doing a lot of piping :)
Thanks for tutorial! For the rosettes, maybe a smaller tip, smaller bag? A big bag for a beginner, is harder to handle. It was for me.! I thought I was doing everything wrong, but I couldn't control a big bag
Hi Maria! Yes great tip, a smaller bag would be much easier to control, although I would probably keep the tip size the same otherwise the rosettes will be very small :)
First time ever, I understood someone who can speak " cake decorating" language fluently ❣️

@@janedoe-hq9vn 11 months later, I’m almost comfortable with the tools, thanks to these tips ; if I can do it, everyone can do it, frankly ; go on !
@@biale190 I grew up in a "waste not, want not" environment and have to remind myself that the frosting is just mostly made out of sugar...lol
Girl, you’re one of the best to do it❤

Apart from 1M which nozzle is the best for cake decoration?
Thanks very much, thanks for sharing, may God bless you
Can you do these designs with a stabilized whipped cream frosting? Or does it need to be buttercream to hold?
