This is Silent Surf Fractal Guide explains fractal mechanics on Challenge Mode. This fractal dungeon is from Cantha's past in The Jade Sea.
CM skips the Jumping Puzzle at the start and starts with a small encounter. Then players descend on to boss platform to fight Unknown Demon / Kanaxai , Scythe of House Aurkus. Challenge modes usually introduce new mechanics, but in this fight, existing ones become more punishing. In this fractal Players get Survey Gear, you can use with your special action key, these skills are Grappling Hook, Parachute, Black Powder Charge, and Flare/Light, each with limited ammo provided.
The title for this CM is called : Stalwart Serpents , for the title you’ll need to finish the challenge mode with no one dying in your party. And that includes the small fight before you go down to the boss platform. And the issue with this achievement is that, you can not simply start over the fight, because fight starts on the boss platform when you wipe - not before the first small encounter, and since achievement counts the small encounter, you need to open a new instance everytime your group fails. I don’t know if this is intended like that, but it’s not nice being have to open a new instance for an achievement as difficult as this one. Hopefully, they'll change it in the future.
