    You know what I love about you? You don’t just tell us what to do, you tell us the keys. For example, instead of saying how many minutes we should cook the jam, you showed us how we can tell it’s ready, because you understand that cooking time might vary from stove to stove. Love you my chef

    Thank you for sharing this recipe. I have a home baking business and made these for the first time a few weeks ago (different recipe). it’s great to see the different variations. The dough is very soft and I learned quickly that it’s best to work with it when it’s really cold. I recently did ones with strawberry filling. I love the versatility of these cookies.

    These look great! In the Austrian area where I'm from, they are traditionally made with red currant jam, although I don't actually know if that's acurate to the original recipe. Oh, and I did not know that they are known globally as Linzer cookies! Frohe Weihnachten!

    🎄❄️⛄️ These Linzer cookies are a Showstopper; your recipe is marvellous because you took it up a notch and made homemade raspberry jam; and as we know, nothing compares to homemade jam; you use cake flour and not all purpose flour like many other recipes call for; so you can bet your bottom dollar am going to make raspberry jam and bake Linzer cookies this Holiday Season.🎄❄️⛄️

      huh? resting? i didn't mention resting in my video. you don't rest pound cake batter....you need to bake it right away.

      @@HanbitCho I never bake cakes after mixing the ingredients unless is a Castella Cake 😋 I always put the batter in a container and bake them the next day 🙂

    Hello chef!! Thank you for the recipe, I love these cookies! Quick question: if I wanted to make these more sturdy so that I could package them to give away, would it be better to add pectin to the jam? Or would the cookies hold as they are?

      nah you don't need pectin. just reduce it further.

    Nice video, but the way how we do it in our country is to do it 2-4 weeka before Christmas and store them in air tight container. The cookies should be soft , not crunchy ;)

    The linzer cookies i know (Spitzbuebe) are made with egg whites, no almond flour, and jam without solids in it..... that are the ones we get at bakeries here or are in our family recipes.

    Hi Chef, I have a question. Have you heard of snow powdered sugar and would you recommend it for the final dusting of this recipe, for storage purposes? Also could this type of sugar be harmful if ingested in excess? Great video btw.

      yeah i talk about snow sugar in my previous video (tiramisu). yeah it works here. it's not bad for you.

      @@noahgeerdink5144 I think what he implies is that it would be easier for you to handle. It can get lumpy easily if you add liquid to the dough too fast.
