@@frankieseward8667Then I suppose you would rather prefer them naked and tweaking while showing their azzholes like all the garbage these days to consider it normal.
This has always been one of my favorite Chicago songs. They came out with some of the greatest ballads of the 80s. I love Chicago. I’m just sad Jason Scheff & Bill Champlin are not with the band any longer. Great voices!
Bill Champlin did a much better job as a lead singer with power ballads than Peter Cetera. That's because David Foster was the band's producer throughout much of the 80's and Foster heavily influenced the bandmates to hire Champlin after producing a Peter Cetera solo album in which Champlin was a guest vocalist on a couple of tracks.
There's something about this song and Bill Champlin's delivery that just hits. The lyrics are poignant and mournful at times, clearly talking about regret in how he handled a relationship and working on fixing it with the one he loves. I like this song, have always liked it since I first heard it years ago. It's easy to see why this was a smash hit for the band. I prefer their work during the Champlin era honestly, he was Chicago's best vocalist hands down.
You WILL see her again. And as we ascend in consciousness it may eventually open our eye (not eyes) to the spiritual realm where we will see all of our loved ones who passed before us. Death is not as we perceive it to be. It is a continuation of our eternal lives. We just forgot when we came here to Earth School!
Those times when true music existed, moments in our lives that remain alive thanks to this music! My God, if there is a second life, I ask you to be born again in the 80s, please!!!!
Such an absolute masterpiece of a song! This is honestly my favorite Chicago song that wasn't sung by Peter Cetera. It's not that I don't like Peter Cetera, I do love alot of his songs, this one's just got a different feel to it. It just seems more hard-hitting and emotional. I love it!
In my opinion I think the 3 albums they did when he left are far greater than the others. They just have that deeper, greater melodic, goosebump touch to them. They really found that sound they were looking for. Similar to bands like Journey, Hall & Oats, The Police, and Foreigner. With Cetera, it's like they were still kinda in the 70s. Like they couldn't get passed that sound like the other groups did. I loved Chicago in the 70s but feel they advanced their sound far greater without Peter Cetera. And Peter Cetera's solo career is in my opinion, when he was at his greatest. He started using different melodies like Chicago and changed his vocals similar to Lou Gramm.
This song is Foreigner-esque song. It doesn't meant this song bad, but it's just feel something is missing. Besides, It's one of the best songs after the Cetera Era.

One of them defining Songs that cries 1980s! Underrated but this has gotta be up there with some of the most powerful 80s ballads ever! God bless you Chicago and God bless the 1980s ❤️
A classic 1980’s power ballad. They just don’t make and or sing them like this anymore. The 1980’s were a different and seemingly more simple time period compared to today’s world.
I disagree. Several older singers/songwriters/groups are releasing great new music. One of my favorite new songs for this year is "Been to the Mountain" sung by Jason Scheff. I'm sure you know who he is, being a Chicago fan. The group Find Me did a cover of Survivor's 80s song "I See You in Everyone" in recent months. It's a great cover. I listened to their new album on Spotify and it sounds great. Very 80s style melodic rock and their lead singer has a great singing voice.
My name is Desiree and I’ve always loved Chicago. I never realized how many lead singers they had. I always thought Peter was the lead singer. But I was trying to find out who was in this video bc 2 people in the video, the guy playing the horn or whatever instrument looks just like Huey Luis and the one girl dancing looks like a actress in which I can’t remember her name. But so many videos have absolutely nothing to do with the song. Why they do this alot in many videos over decades and decades, idk?when a video actually makes sense and goes with the song, it’s more on a personal level. Some can make you cry, laugh or be angry just like all songs touch us in ways we sometimes can relate. But when a video doesn’t match the song, it ruins how you think it should’ve been portrayed, yet the song still gives you the same emotion but it’s more emotional when they actually go together. I know I’m not the only one who feels like this!! And still don’t know who’s in the video just wanted to share my thoughts and was hoping for answers!
You almost have to go back to Roy Orbison's "Crying" to find anyone with this kind of commanding high-octane and emotional voice than the effort in this song by Bill Champlin. This Chicago song is a dramatic masterpiece.
I had forgotten about this song and heard it today and opened a floodgate of memories and emotions. Great band. Great song. How did we lose this kind of talent? Now its bullshit with computer gimmicks
I just hope that nobody feels the pain that I feel,I need to go back to these special days and music,it really hurts, bless u all and I hope you can handle it better than I can
I remember fondly when this was released. This was not my dad's Chicago from the 1970s. An 1980s rocker that is sort of forgotten in the late 80s hair band era. The band's live recording of this is superior as they incorporate more of the horn section.
I would have liked to sing this to that old love, how much I needed her. But my pride and vanity, I avoid it. Youths! Don't let the love of your life go out cause of pride, Sing with your heart and be honest with her and yourself.

The thing I like most about this song is the way the part" make it on my own, I don't wanna love somebody else" goes up in a crescendo and then drops. As I'm not an expert in musical terms I hope I'm explaining my self correctly. This is by far Chicago's most underrated song although having said that I did first hear it on one of their greatest hits CDs.
This was one of their best albums ever and 21 wasn’t bad either. I’m so glad I was 17 at the time and got to enjoy the 80s music and wish todays generation understood what great music really sounded like.
I was 16 when their 19th album came out and I remember loving this album. Chicago could do no wrong in the 80s, every two yrs we got a new Chicago album that had several hits, it was a great decade to be a Chicago fan, well, so we're the 1970s. I miss listening to the radio and a new Chicago song would come on that was destined to be a hit.
No music will ever come close to this era glad I was able to witness it
Just pure raw vocals. I love Chicago

Guitar solo is Dann Huff. One of the best session guitarist in the music industry. Now a Nashville producer. One of the best!

Never seen him lookin so HOT, but I'm a sucker for a man in a nice tux!
Getting over someone you truly love is exceptionally difficult and you really never stopped loving them. Although you move on get married and have a new life, I love you forever baby...Edy.
Selvin is that you
The thing I like most about this song is the way the part" make it on my own, I don't wanna love somebody else" goes up in a crescendo and then drops. As I'm not an expert in musical terms I hope I'm explaining my self correctly. This is by far Chicago's most underrated song although having said that I did first hear it on one of their greatest hits CDs.
Man, this song Its simply amazing! Love it as well.
Ilove this song
Hermosa cancion de Chucho inolvidable❤🎉😊
Que hermosa época ...guardo tántos bellos recuerdos. Se extraña ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was one of their best albums ever and 21 wasn’t bad either. I’m so glad I was 17 at the time and got to enjoy the 80s music and wish todays generation understood what great music really sounded like.
Trust me, I am 18 and I can't live without the 80's music. I would die.
I remember seeing this video on MTV in the 80's
