Keep in mind, some switches will be intermittent due to dirt. Many switches can be cleaned with Deoxit D5 cleaner or electronic control cleaner via the hole in the underside of the switch. It has to be screwed in to test it. I just cleaned mine on a gx470 rear door jamb. Works great now.
Nothing more satisfying then NOT having enough wire to work with!!! I mean, why in the hell would the engineers make that wire so damn short??? So you have to take off the whole interior panel between the front and rear doors in order to gain access to the plug and not drop the connector down into the black hole where you then have to remove the interior panel!!! Some folks are just too damn smart for themselves. Book smarts NEVER equates to common sense!!!
The screw came off the sensor and the lights would not come on when the door was open. I bought a new sensor, but before I put it on, I needed to figure out what screw was needed (M6 short from Ace for less than $1). As I was tryout out the screw, the lights came back on. Apparently, the screw provides a necessary metal contact. So, I used the old sensor with the new screw and was able to get my money back for the new sensor. O'Reilly's was great about this. Hopefully, this info might help somebody in the future.
My doors just lock on their own part of some auto lock after 30 seconds thing I guess it's like the lock unlock switch is possessed would replacing this fix it?
Great video. Add I was doing this the contractor from vehicle broke inside the hole of the car. Now the wowe itself is inside the home and I can't get any part of it to reconnect it. I can't fish it out to make an extension either. Do you know where it comes from so I can rewire my door jamb switch??

Hi, what is the torx screw driver size are you using?
t30
Good job Magiver, can I ask you how to control the door closing as mine it closes very fast and not smooth, as other doors.
Thanks - super helpful!!
Does the wire to this switch always hot? Or does it go neutral when the door closes ?
Ground , grounds threw switch to the mounting screw. Many people just have a loose screw or a couple loose screws😂
Earth or grounding completes circuit through screw and metal body switch
Thanks!
Should you disconect battery first?
No
super easy, thank you
Thanks!!!🙏
