I try to wear distinct cologne. Also in a furry universe, you would need something to deodorize with, the amount of sweating from all the fur and feathers. Remember the nightmare Chase is going through being an otter in the desert.
Yes, the Alpaca from Where the Demon Lurks was also named King! Definitely a different design though lol, though I guess they're both into video games. And the MC name, Kobu, was the same too.
The professor is also a combination of two of the demon generals from wtdl. This whole game is basically where they dumped all the horny from the main game
This is work. You are Narrating a light novel. AND you are adding commentary. A movie with commentary is considered additional value. Plus as an audio format it helps people who struggle to read.
It's so surreal, I wouldn't have imagined that the where the demon lurks devs would make another side VN just to be horny in, it's so funny lmao The anime discussion is really interesting! Just throwing out btw that all the KH game titles are really not weird or super long or whatever? There really aren't games so far that pass the 3 word mark for the title. The longest ones are stuff like chain of memories, or birth by sleep, or dream drop distance. They are all serviceable and nice sounding, symbolic to the story, titles. And they are long just because they are meant to be shortened in acronyms on purpose, like CoM is a specific term related to computers if i recall correctly, and DDD is because it was originally on the 3ds
@@toastedringtail oh no, I'm saying that because Nomura himself literally mentioned it. BBS is also related to computers, something about instant messaging. Nomura loves computer stuff and it's especially present in KH, computers and data are a big theme and aspect for the world building, so it makes sense from that pov.
@@toastedringtail I know Keith has complained in other occasions about erroneous KH misconceptions he only heard about, just like the one in this video about KH games having stupid long titles when that's not the case, so if you wanna I can clear up those claims or misconceptions or even just questions you might have Toaster, like stuff about "the story doesn't make sense" or "Disney with final fantasy is stupid how does that even work" as examples, if you want to! But if you're busy to chat or don't care, that's fine ahah. Most of the answers are actually sorta related to the VNs you're reading together from a certain point of view which is funny lol
@@Fannintendociccio1 yes, I know he mentioned the reasoning behind his titles. I’m saying it’s still a bit of a silly stretch. The names having justifications doesn’t change that they’re mostly just silly, and very overwrought. Especially with something like Chain of Memories, which hardly has anything to do with computers both thematically or narratively. It’s basically just an aesthetic choice to have such overwrought titles. I’ve played KH 1 through Birth by Sleep. I understand the stories and know what is happening in them. I still think they are mostly nonsense lol. Very overwritten, very over the top, and could use an editor to a significant degree. I don’t think anything in these games is that useful nor related thematically to any of the VNs we have read either - as interesting as KH can be and is if you fully understand all of the nuances, it’s still a very maximalist, very goofy story that is an exercise in aesthetic choices first and foremost, as is most of Nomura’s work. Like, no amount of justification makes “358/2 Days” any more thematically potent or logical to the average person. Even knowing why it is named that, it’s an absolutely bonkers title lol.
@@toastedringtail ohh I see, I was unaware that you had played em! The computer stuff gets directly relevant post BBS, so I can understand your confusion on that front, but it's related to all of those games, especially CoM, because of the ties memories and data have in the games, they are treated as the same thing conceptually. Oh if you don't like the way they are written it's fine, I can definitely say the actual feel of the writing itself is definitely not for everyone, not sure if it's the same in japanese however. The fact the series heavily uses symbolism and parallels for its emotional core can definitely leave the actual writing taken by itself into just like what you said. As for the nonsense part I would have to disagree, since the games follow a pretty simple course of events revolving around, confirmed directly by the developers, Sora and Riku's relationship and how they grow up. With KH1 being them getting separated after Riku's complex feelings caused the events to kick in, CoM it's them trying to reunite with each other, kh2 is the continuation which ends finally with their reunion, days is giving insight on what happened during the separation, and BBS shows the events that lead to the start of their journey. The vast amount of the nonsense Disney stuff is there because it's used to make parallels over and over between each other, and viceversa, or other characters when they aren't playable. For example, since you played kh2, the reason why Riku is "cursed" into looking like Ansem thematically it's because it's a parallel to Beauty and the Beast, with sora and riku being constantly compared to in every game they appear in to them. One of the many many examples I could list that the characters also bring up themselves. About the visual novel thing, it is because of how the rest of the story you haven't played is going, the "complex feelings" of Riku I mentioned earlier and how they are actually developed and what they are, and Sora straight up confirmed himself, despite witnessing dozens of het Disney couples, he doesn't understand and get what romantic love is supposed to be or feel for himself, even as all the Disney couples don't stop paralleling the two of them together constantly, and this bothering him quite a bit, which makes him officially ace/aro at the moment with most likely a moment in the future with him figuring this out. Right now he is currently stuck away from all his loved ones with a friendly character who is bisexual/pan, so things are getting there. Like, I fully expect Luca, which Keith even mentioned in his previous essays, to be used to show Riku and Sora's relationship, since it's almost 1 to 1 to theirs back in kh1. KH works basically like a queer Disney essays of his but like for real. *Edit: I saw your comment about days and ahaha yeah I do agree! But, it's one title over 15 titles that sounds weird, the rest are fine, aside from being fancy ones. And yeah not saying KH isnt maximalist or fancy ahahah and if you don't like that it's fine, but it doesn't make it objectively bad or nonsensical just for its presentation

There are two wolves inside you, both are named Kobu.
Huh..
Wow these lads are MASSIVE
Absolute units!
59:36 ah yes the Gamer Wolf Musk sold with the bundle along with Gamer Wolf Bathwater

Even worse is that "reincarnated as a Gary Stu" get multiple seasons while a weak dragon and their adopted OP daughter is pretty much ignored.
11:55 "It's what it's."
53:44 sighhhhhh, fine, I'll take a daki, a print, a key chain, and his musk aroma scent.
1:00:15 sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, and a kigu
I've never heard anime production explained like this before, and it makes sense why I don't watch as much or as many as I did when I was a kid
Oooh what I wouldn't give to have Keith try WTDL. Awesome reading as always!
I did ruclips.net/video/e-rhKlSZrn0/видео.html
@@KeithBallardA Oooh, brain fart forgot I watched that too! Loving it!

Why is the school named after pet food? 😁
Hearing them talking about Gacha honestly made me feel so called out.😢
5:34 Ok I have a confession to make. I started wearing cologne because of the abundance of vn characters that have aromas 😔
55:37 you poor sweet summer child
Also Fear & Hunger hype at 1:27:30
So much gay buffoonerey in the first 10 minutes, I love it so much
i need more of the alpaca character
Ohhh... Interesting, you could even say that Keith made a +18 RP with Toaster in front of everyone here ;3
Basically every modern shonen anime is basically all the same
Chainsaw man
