Sounds like maybe your 5s are a little jammed up. I can't really tell from the audio, but you may want work on loosing your fingers, engaging your forearm a bit more, and just brining in my power to your stroke. Sounds excellent though man.
I totally agree with you, this is something i’ve actually been actively working on lately because i felt like I was too tense in my fingers. Glad you pointed this out!
It’s not to difficult once you get better at cheese and flam rudiments. I practice a lot and have watched a lot of video to improve technique. I’ve also been playing music for most of my life, but have recently started getting into to more marching style music so it was fairly easy to improve.
The base version (without the diddles and stick tricks) isn’t extremely hard to learn in my opinion, it’s quite challenging getting the puddadahs though! The exercise as a whole is a challenge though
Your wrists should not be the only part of your arm moving. Try to get your Forearms a little bit more involved in your technique. Great job reading the music, though! Stick control and basic fundamentals will become second nature with practice and adequate help. Keep it up!
What are you smoking in. He does have technique. The ones that use for arm motion don’t have strong wrists or can play with good control using fingers. How long have you been playing giving out those types of incorrect information?
i used this video: ruclips.net/video/4I548zhDZeM/видео.html (screenshotted sheets at the end of it) then i just learned the rest of it from there by ear
Thanks for doing that man!

Sounds Great man, you should post sheet music to this that way people can learn it

Grip the right stick at the fulcrum point and try to keep palm face down to avoid “slicing”

@@elijahdrums22maybe experiment with choking less up the stick also, not to be a know it all
