NO composer even Beethoven did not have the mastery of the orchestra that Tchaikovsky has. Beethoven is my favourite composer by far but I stand by what I have written

Though I agree Tchaikovsky is master of the orchestra but I beg to differ him from Beethoven. Those two were from two different eras. Guess they both are the master of classical music

He found love... it was just forbidden in many many ways. His 6th Symphony undeniably revolves around the young man he'd loved for some time. The final movement is Tchaikovsky's suicide note and, to most who hear it, the saddest piece of music ever written. Poor Tchaikovsky's tortured soul produced such beauty...I can't help but be grateful and horrified at the same time :(

When ballet music is presented in concert form, the tempos tend to be a little faster because they don't have to accompany the dancers. I hate when the music is slowed down too much for the dancers. The tempo is just fine with me. It is such a sublimely beautiful and moving piece. Bravo ,Tchaikovsky.♥
