Like with Matt from S4, I’m still surprised Gordon didn’t threaten Antonia with elimination on the spot like he did with Jonathan the following season, JP from Season 13, or Kevin from Season 15 because like Matt she made him literally puke on the spot
I heard that gumbo isn’t something you make in under 30 minutes. It takes hours from what I’ve heard so Antonia should have known better that the gumbo wasn’t gonna turn out right if it wasn’t precisely cooked the way it should be. Either she was right that everyone eats her gumbo because she prepares it as it needs to be or is full of bs and is up there on being in Kitchen Nightmare
I remember initially thinking this on my first watch! I didn't want to assume since I didn't want to be rude but I get it, and I totally feel bad for her too. That would be embarrassing as hell, even if she is at fault for trying to make a gumbo (something that needs HOURS to cook) in 45 minutes

Antonia was a loser. She quit right before the first service, no fightback. Robert got hospitalized during HK and still came back for service. Also, who told him to leave season 5, his doctor or the producers? also, why wasn’t Jillian invited back for All-Stars? She could’ve easily won that season
Robert left on doctor's advice. He had pericarditis, swelling of the sacks around the heart. He could've had heart attack or worse DIED. I was glad to see him return in season 6. Now Robert is nearly unrecognizable these days, the weight is off and he has a family. Would love to see a follow up video on Robert from season 5&6 up to where he is at today. How about it Flynn, make a video on Robert?
Ramsay and the Hell’s Kitchen producers should’ve waited until a few seasons later or All Stars to bring Robert back, because imagine the reactions then if they saw a skinner Robert whom is no longer his obese self from Seasons 5-6. I hated how he became a jerk in Season 6 which was probably not helped by the fact he was the only veteran among them and had to start from zero again. I still stand by the fact Robert in Season 6 and Jason Z in Season 12 is the prime definitive example of being physically ready but not mentally ready to come back vs being both physically and mentally ready to come back

I agree that in one of episodes, Nona's performance was extremely bad and she could have easily gone home if the other two members from the blue team didn't screw up two consecutive sevices.
How does Nona celebrate the 100th episode. By combining old and new risottos( after asking Gail's opinion). After Ramsey rips Nona a new opening, she screams "ITS NOT MY FAULT! GAIL TOLD ME TO DO IT!"
Got to call BS on Garnish being the easiest station. It requires communication and precise timing with EVERY other station other than dessert (fish, meat, hot and cold apps). I would say Tableside or Assistant Maitre’D is the easiest
“An asian woman can’t make sushi” She’s Filipino, not Japanese or Korean (who make dishes inspired by Sushi). I notice you made no note of apology about frankly racist statement.
So? First, it was a joke the show made over a decade ago, second, she also made a similar joke with the stereotype of Asians eating raw/disgusting food by Western standards, so it's clear she doesn't care about a little racial humor when it's completely harmless in context. Third, 2025 is around the corner, and no one cares anymore about the whims of emotionally stunted adults who seem to be perpetually outraged in the place of other people, so no "note of apology" (aka self-humiliation ritual) is needed.
Wow You actually went through the effort of re-editing and reuploading this, and didnt think to remove the incredibly racist remark you made about Gail.... Seriously dude, bad look for you. Could have easily removed that bit. Awful
Can we please stop saying raj had a terrible signature dish, Ramsey liked it, but thought it looked messy, most people wish their signiture dish was good.
This made me want them to bring that one Hollywood prank show back and the first episode is swapping the contestants of "Worst Cooks" and "Hell's Kitchen" but not telling any of the hosts (would probably need to tell contestants). So, Gordon's suddenly dealing with people who are using the wrong side of the knife or using their hands to take things out of boiling water and Anne and Beau are watching someone successfully make Baked Alaska.
Unrelated but when I clicked on this video, I got a Gordon Ramsay ad FINALLY RUclips IS GIVING ME ADS THAT ARE AT LEAST RELATED TO THE VIDEOS IM WATCHING, not morning fresh or rego due.
I suppose this video was taken down presumably with HK claiming copyright. Season 8 was absurdly entertaining he was like a sketch comedy show of a horrible chef. I have to give Russell credit as he didn't have any fights with Raj though he may have felt he seems like a nice guy & was no threat
That was surprisingly that the only person on the blue team was Russell to not get angry or argue with Raj like everyone else such as Trev or Boris, and later Russell shows his true colors since funnily Raj was the scapegoat but with him gone the weaker chefs began revealing themselves in the blue team.
Omg as a Louisiana girl that gumbo just hurt to look at. Dear lord how dare she attach Mardi Gras to that thing!? That's not even gumbo, that's dog shit soup! And I don't even LIKE gumbo and I'm offended at how badly she screwed it up.
With the exception of Jillian, Season 8 had to have the worst people, right on par with Season 16. They made those season completely unbearable to watch.
I'm still in wonder at how Raj did all this shit, screamed in people's faces, called everyone snakes and STILL he said he had a great time and learned a lot.
It’s funny when you see the popular videos about Raj everyone in the comments is basically making jokes like Raj is the type of person open a submarine for fresh air😭😭 Also imagine Scotley with Trev on this season instead of s18 lol
Initially I felt bad for CURTIS as I felt VINNY & RAJ were way worse than him, but at the same time if LA MARKET was wanting a chef who could make SUSHI then CURTIS had to go
Honestly though Curtis had zero standouts for the short time he had in HK. Bad signature dish, bad sushi challenge performance and zero fightback. If you can't work all stations you will not get far.
26:41 Honestly I'm not sure which one is worse. Both are noncompetitive franchises with owners that only care about financial gain opposed to winning. Both are almost perpetually doomed to fail since neither one has tried to build a competitive roster. And both have fan bases that are actively decreasing. The only real difference is that with the A's move their fans have more haterd towards their owners while the Rockies fans are going apathetic.
I get that Raj is chronically incompetant, but there is no need to comment on someone's weight like that. I mean c'mon, it's not as if there aren't other things to critique.

Personally I think a lot of fans are a bit too harsh on Nona. She may not be a top tier winner, and certainly got lucky, but let’s just be glad that Russell didn’t win! That’s what really matters!
Just imagine if he did win, he would have the biggest ego of all time, I'd fear for the brigade for LA Market if he had won
No one would've wanted to work with the guy seeing his attitude
@EpicAndrew97 true, I think he went downhill in terms of attitude when he argued with prom committee
I can’t decide on Season 8 whether to choose someone who is better than Jillian (since she was never nominated) just because of her “palate.” Or someone who can actually cook but with a douche attitude worse than Joseph from two seasons ago.
In my eyes, there is no winner for Season 8, done.
Yeah, this was the first HK season I have ever watched, and even I felt that no one deserved to win by the end
Atom!! I’ve been rewatching the 2003 Astro boy recently and really enjoying it, so seeing atom in the wild made me smile :)
Vinny and/or Gail pre-downfall
@@EpicAndrew97 you know what fair, I guess I was more so talking about by the final two. I didn’t care for Nona, and I especially didn’t want to see Russell win
@@katzkinder7031 I’m glad to hear it. :D
Anyone else think boris sounded like wallace when he mocked gordon's raw?
Imagine re-uploading and STILL called Melissa "Emily".
The borris and raj interactions were the best imo, the pure frustration in his face when he’s trying to get Raj to roll the pizza, like he doesn’t even seem mad, just concerned and frustrated and confused 😂
I feel Nona had done small things that showed Ramsay she was worth it. Like when he let her choose between Melissa and Emily, she chose the latter and explained why with Ramsay agreeing. Then there was the blind taste test. And yeah, Russel's final performance was his death knell in winning, Nona I say isn't as bad as you make her out to be.
21:23 Honestly to be fair on both sides when Gordon booted Nona from the kitchen for apparently getting in his way, that’s one of the times I sided with the contestants over him because she was NOWHERE near him. This is one of the many times Gordon overreacted, was unfair or was acting irrational towards a contestant
Gumbo takes hours to cook, you only have 45 minutes for your signature dish, no way you have time to make the gumbo
Aah, I Just love the casual racism Flynn throws out..........
Nona only won because Russell lost, that's not a winner to me.
Added a bit too much liquid smoke there didn’t you?
In this case, this actually makes sense. He lost it for himself
@genikki It made sense there too, Frank would've won had he not put liquid smoke, Russell would've won if he wasn't a douchebag. No one acknowledges that because they just wanna make fun of Frank and how he worded it when we all know what he meant
@@Michael-hc2hp Yeah I know, but Frank is a douche, that's why nobody acknowledges anything from him.
@Michael-hc2hp tbf the Frank was saying that to put her down so he didn't have to congratulate her
In defense of the blue team, those high schoolers were pretentious as heck. I don’t condone the language used against them, although I understand their frustration
This is the kind of seaon that is less "be the best" and more "be better than the current worst guy"
7:13 weird comment dude...
Was kinda annoyed because she's Asian. Not all Asian make sushi, and Plus, she's Filipino
I still believe Jillian was the best among all the cooks.
Disappointed that you reuploaded this video and still kept in the remark about Gail not being able to make sushi even though she’s Asian (she isn’t Japanese, she is Filipino) ignorance isn’t something to brush off and many people called you out in the old video for that remark so I don’t understand why you decided to keep it in
She made the joke herself...he was making it the same way she did...
@@zachowon her making it on her own self is okay and could be for coping, him doing it has underlying racism tones, stop trying to justify ignorance just because you think it’s okay
@@mi-raang8602 "could be for coping"

@@mi-raang8602 Well, you had a point, then squandered it. If it's OK for someone to make self deprecating jokes, it's OK for someone else to make the same joke lol.
@@xxkillbotxx7553 mate have you heard of boundaries? To each their own but it’s inherently racist to make a RACIST REMARK about someone you don’t actually know. Just because someone makes a joke about themselves DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHTS TO. Racist remarks like the ones Flynn made creates a stigma and as a SEAsian myself like Gale I am offended. So get over yourself and listen to the countless of people who are upset by it, it was an unnecessary remark and shows Flynn’s true colours
I heard a rumor a while back about how Antonia was apparently faking her migrane becaue she was embarrassed and humiliated about her gumbo. I dont know if this is true but if it is, then i dont blame her. I mean, I'd be embarrassed too if i served the greatest chef in the world a literal pool of vomit🤢
Vomit is kinda a statement considered that bowl look just like what Gordon Ramsay say, a liquid shit
Like with Matt from S4, I’m still surprised Gordon didn’t threaten Antonia with elimination on the spot like he did with Jonathan the following season, JP from Season 13, or Kevin from Season 15 because like Matt she made him literally puke on the spot
if she did fake it i have to say she's pretty damn good at pretending to freak out
I heard that gumbo isn’t something you make in under 30 minutes.
I thought based on the title it was gonna be a wholesome season where everyone was good at what they do and liked each other a lot 😭
I honestly watched this video like- 10-15 times before it got taken down, so so happy to see it back!!
Why was it taken down?
@@Matrix93R I dunno
Missing that iconic line "overcooked on the bottom, crispy as f**k, and it looks like Gandhis flip-flop!" 😂
Jillians reaction was pretty funny as well
Everyone talks about Raj but I find Sabrina to be the most absolutely fucking insufferable person on earth, like Raj is insane but she thinks she's normal
15:56 NAH TREV’S LOOK OF PURE TERROR AND HIM GOING, *“Oh no.”*
why would every asian know how to make sushi? why would you expect all asians to be experts in Japanese cuisine?
I love when i find entertaining hells kitchen videos just to get jumpscared by asian stereotyping
Raj was the best thing from this season. Dude was a donkey but his antics were actually funny. Had russel managed to control his temper he would have won. More than half of these contestants were donkies tv plant antonia old man lisa, emily, freaking 24 wasted meat melissa , chef ramesy imitator boris, fat boi rob, sabrina ghetto axe, baby girl trev, the camp smore burner lois and the second worst winner nona plus she snored simply unforgivable 😂
Imagine there was an all star season and Raj walks in and says "fools"
Robert had heart problems and had to leave. When he came back the season after, it was clear he hadn't fully recovered either.
@@K1yoshu
He should have just waited for all stars, or they could have done an earlier (and probably better) All Star season
I still stand by the fact Robert in Season 6 and Jason Z in Season 12 is the prime definitive example of being physically ready but not mentally ready to come back vs being both physically and mentally ready to come back
@@KingdomofEvania100At the time there was no precedent for chefs to get a second shot at competing, and he had no way of knowing if they'd ask him again. So I can sorta understand why he felt he had to come back so soon. It's just a shame that things happened that way, because I would've loved to see him return when he was actually healthy

That's pretty bad when teenagers act more mature than actual adults.
"Seafood and vegetable pancakes"
And just like that, I'm sold on this guy.
Oh no, he sucks :(
Got to call BS on Garnish being the easiest station. It requires communication and precise timing with EVERY other station other than dessert (fish, meat, hot and cold apps). I would say Tableside or Assistant Maitre’D is the easiest
“An asian woman can’t make sushi”
She’s Filipino, not Japanese or Korean (who make dishes inspired by Sushi).
“She snores so she should leave”
“I hate cleaning”

You actually went through the effort of re-editing and reuploading this, and didnt think to remove the incredibly racist remark you made about Gail....
Seriously dude, bad look for you. Could have easily removed that bit. Awful
It is a comment she herself makes that he was repeating...
Imagine boycotting a person just for reuploading a thing that GAIL said
Were you crying when you wrote this 😂

Let me get on my high horse bitch because guy was repeating the same thing Gil said..
Yes you totally not stupid keep it up 🤦♀️
Can we please stop saying raj had a terrible signature dish, Ramsey liked it, but thought it looked messy, most people wish their signiture dish was good.
Unrelated but when I clicked on this video, I got a Gordon Ramsay ad
FINALLY RUclips IS GIVING ME ADS THAT ARE AT LEAST RELATED TO THE VIDEOS IM WATCHING, not morning fresh or rego due.
This is easily one of my favorite seasons just because of how funny it is.
3:48 Nona's face. 😂
Russell was such an ass to those high schoolers (and in general). I'm almost done with S8 (I know he loses) but I can't wait to see him lose lol
Those highschoolers didn't deserve that
Hey flynnmaster you should be in a season of Hell’s Kitchen and can you do a ranking from every first dinner service from every Hell’s Kitchen season
The Trainwreckiest of all Trainwreck hells kitchen seasons
Did someone say Survivor Gabon
Omg as a Louisiana girl that gumbo just hurt to look at. Dear lord how dare she attach Mardi Gras to that thing!? That's not even gumbo, that's dog shit soup! And I don't even LIKE gumbo and I'm offended at how badly she screwed it up.
Imagine minding your own business washing up, then all of a sudden being told to f off. That must've been a mortifying moment for the dishwasher.
With the exception of Jillian, Season 8 had to have the worst people, right on par with Season 16. They made those season completely unbearable to watch.
Raj is the Patrick Starfish of Hell's Kitchen, just without the charm.
7:12 like how you reuploaded this yet you still kept this lowkey racist remark lol.
its not racist lmao get over it, sensitive
Every knows when there’s no music…
Means serious shit about to go down.
I hate when people disgrace Cajun food like gumbo. I'm Cajun and it hurts my soul to its core.
I'm still in wonder at how Raj did all this shit, screamed in people's faces, called everyone snakes and STILL he said he had a great time and learned a lot.
3:33 It’s RAAAAAW!!!!!
Dude the camera pan of Boris cleaning dishes to them sticking him with the actual dishwashers was fucking hilarious
Yeah to be perfectly honest if I was in Gordon Ramsay's shoes, I could NOT allowed anyone in Season 8 to win
It’s funny when you see the popular videos about Raj everyone in the comments is basically making jokes like Raj is the type of person open a submarine for fresh air😭😭 Also imagine Scotley with Trev on this season instead of s18 lol
This was the Season that got me really into Hell's Kitchen. Season 6 was a hint of this though, especially as a British Columbian.
I watched this season for the first time just recently, and Trev getting as many chances as he did was one of the most infuriating parts
8:58 to 9:02 blacked out.
Initially I felt bad for CURTIS as I felt VINNY & RAJ were way worse than him, but at the same time if LA MARKET was wanting a chef who could make SUSHI then CURTIS had to go
I personally really liked Vinny, I was hoping he'd manage to beat Russell but he just missed out on the black jackets due to his downfall
Honestly though Curtis had zero standouts for the short time he had in HK. Bad signature dish, bad sushi challenge performance and zero fightback. If you can't work all stations you will not get far.
Apparently you had to re-edit and upload this video, but man did you butcher it in the editing software. Wtf happened at 8:58
Why has this been reuploaded? The original is still viewable🤔
Ngl the reason y I like this season is because of the funny moments and dumbest mistakes
Raj doesnt have an all-time bad signature dish. Chef actually said it tasted fine but had shocking presentation
I get that Raj is chronically incompetant, but there is no need to comment on someone's weight like that. I mean c'mon, it's not as if there aren't other things to critique.
Womp womp
For me, this amount to a top 10 reality TV season of all-time, and my second favorite season of Hells kitchen, behind 12. The characters are amazing, and I love what a train wreck it is.
Season 8 must be one of the only seasons in Hells Kitchen were both winners were individually kicked out of the kitchen in the same service
Fucking Trev was the only one left for the blue team 😂
Why does it go black at 9:00?
I dont think Trevor is a bad guy, out of his depth maybe, but def a cool guy to work with.
