This is the best so far. Was terrorized as a child by a cousin that chased me with spiders and my parents thought nothing of it and I spent days screaming. But this is the cutest little thing and probably the only spider that I would think of having, and that is saying a lot. It was nice seeing it climb all over and doing laps around the lip of her enclosure. Great job. 👍💗

Would have never guessed, as an arachnophobic, that I would be able to say that spiders are cute or pretty, and yet here I am watching your videos, thinking of how beautiful they are, smiling from ear to ear seeing their cuteness (took me a while to get to this point, but I got here! :) ). Thank you for all your work around spiders and for all videos. Watching you helped me so much to understand these amazing creatures and to overcome my fear of them.
And.. Brazilian Jewels are absolutely the most beautiful of them.

I assumed trap door spiders needed deeper substrate so they could dig a nice long tunnel with the flap at the top and a wide burrow at the bottom. I had no idea some would actually make a hole in some bark and live in there that's amazing :D Very explorative little tyke and so freaking cute omg she did make me laugh quite a bit lol. Makes me want 1 lol.

I have been a bit puzzled since putting it in a temporary housing as to what it was doing circling the top of the enclosure, but now I see that seems to be normal with these little guys. Of the spiders I now have, the T. seladonia and C. versicolor both seem the most determined to try to have an adventure.

@@daveslittlebeasties If you don't mind I have a question. My A. avic does have a water dish in her enclosure, I dont mist the enclosure, and she has eaten three times since she molted. I've noticed that she seemed to "drooping" yesterday when she was on the side of the enclosure, like she was dying and going to fall. So I touched her with a brush and she kind of straightened up and walked around. I noticed the water dish was still completely full so it looks like she hasnt been drinking. Temps are good in the enclosure at 74 F. No mold or anything either. So I sprayed some water on her webbing and she ran up and drank it right away then perked up and seemed fine. The water dish is equal height with her hide so its easy for her to get to and is a shallow dish. Have you had one just not like a water dish? I've never experienced this in my 10 years of keeping. EDIT: on a side note I got to see how the "shoot" the poop. its actually comical.

If you don't quit posting these beatiful beasties, I'm gonna have to buy one. And my girlfriend threatens it's her or a spider. Hmm.

Dude... i had to make that decision once. Got rid of all my T's, almost got married... then, i really regretted getting rid of the spiders :D Now, if she doesn't like spiders, i give her 2 options - she either learns to like them... or she can f*ck right off :)

Great video, Dave. That's the spider is my favorite because if I see one running across the floor, I could just step on it. Lol. Just kidding!

What is the name of the other site you spoke of about the water bowl?
I don’t know why I started watching tarantula videos because I have always been very fearful of spiders. I still am, but they fascinate me. I have a hard time even touching a picture of a spider lol, so I am by no means trying to learn a new hobby. But I have learned a lot and part of what I learned is there’s nothing wrong with a heathy respect for another creature and not all spiders want to attack me, lol.
You are very gentle and caring and it’s helped me see these creatures in a new light. You are right! We are never too old to learn. Thank you.

What was the name of the girls channel, the one you stole the water cap idea from, I tried looking up channels with arachnid in it, no luck
