This ride was completed in Girona, Catalunya, Spain; a cycling mecca that has been home to many professional cyclists including Ben O'Connor, Jack Haig, Esteban Chaves, Ryan Mullen, George Bennett, James Knox, Dorian Godon, Jay Vine, and at one point George Hincappie, Lance Armstrong and Tyler Hamilton. The climb of Els Angels is one of Girona's most popular cycling climbs, used for training by professionals for races such as the Tour de France, Volta Catalunya, Vuelta Espana, Paris-Nice, Giro d'Italia and more. Teams such as INEOS-Grenadiers, Israel-Premier Tech Pro Cycling, Human Powered Health, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team, UAE Team Emirates and others use Girona for team training camps and rider testing. Mad man! Fair play though, that's mega impressive.
🤜🏼🤛🏼
You absolute beast Tristan, you smashed it, obviously it's a brutal challenge but you made it look far too easy, obviously the new bike helped a bit but can't take any credit away from those legs and that mind power! Well in!!!
Thanks Mark. It was definitely more brutal than I think I made it look. Something about trying to keep it together for the camera 😂🥲 Appreciate the love mate! 🙏🏼
So much truth in that final monologue. You built more than a RUclips channel over the past year. You’ve built a global community and have remained the same guy throughout. It is the beauty and simplicity of the videos that draws me in. There truly isn’t a more fitting bike that the BMC for this channel. It is a perfect match. Keep crushing it Tristan.
Thanks so much Marc 🙏🏼 That’s such an incredible compliment. Really appreciate the support and I’m so stoked I can provide you guys with something you enjoy watching so much. Thanks again man
Amazing content . Watching / listening while on the trainer. 3 kids with 2 young’s twin girls of 19 months . Lots going on , ton going on . Discovered cycling 19 months ago and my only time today was 45 min tonight before dinner . Lot of great words said on your last climb 👍 take care
A man on his bike, doing what he loves. 👏
Congratulations on this big ride Tristan! At around 22:00, it's incredible how not only can you articulate your thoughts so well after so long on the bike, but also what you were saying was really touching and inspiring. Adeu from Barcelona!
Thanks for such kind words my man 🙏🏼
Congratulations mate on yr latest everest and your achievements after 1 year of this RUclips video project. I like your positivity in your videos that is needed of late in a world of negativity. God bless you!!!
Thanks man! 🙌🏼
You positive attitude the whole time is key. I am planning my first everesting challenge and can take a lot from your video. Thank you
Thank you 🙏🏼 Good luck with it!
Mate, loved this video, and particularly your choice of story telling, starting the story half way through made the Video feel segmented enough that it didn’t get boring, which ever sting videos sometime fail are you didn’t. Well done my man. Thanks for another great vid :)
Thanks so much man. That was my sim with the storytelling and breaking up the timeline a bit..keep it interesting and something unique to follow along with, as opposed to regular linear storytelling. Thanks again 🙏🏼
Getting the bike out of the attic and heading for the airport. Spent a month in Girona a few years back and solved a lot of problems while there. Need a booster.
It definitely has that affect on people, me included. Love this place so much.
And that... is why I enjoy watching your channel. Not only are you a beast on the bike, your insights, love for the ride and sheer enjoyment for what you do makes for compelling viewing. I do love a climb but I still struggle to get my head around the sheer time, effort and mental toughness required for Everesting.
Rad as always dude!🔥
amazing video and ride!
Nice work man! so inspiring and awesome! cheers !!
Congrats on the awsome ride and video Tristan!
You are so lucky having amazing community in Girona.
I agree 🙏🏼
thanks Tristan. Congrats!!
Awesome stuff mate.
Legenddddddd! Amazing vid like always.
Content has always been on point since the beginning. Between the quality, the editing and just the way you present it it’s great. Excited to see what the future has in store for you. Keep it up!
Chapeau Tristan!
Epic video of a brutal day out!

Awe inspiring!, thanks from Brisbane
I love the new bike have fun and enjoy it. That ride looks so beautiful.
Fair play, Incredible achievement. Thanks for bringing us along.
Great effort and really good vibe! You inspired me to visit Girona a few weeks ago and I think I even saw you ride past on one day :) Keep doing what you’re doing! ✊
Legend mate, great effort and way to smash in the new bike.
Thanks Tristan
My first reaction is that is a terrible idea for a new bike with undoubtedly a slightly different position. Then you say you're on lap 17 and you're looking chipper. Wow. Then you say you everested d'Huez and Ventoux previously. Beast!
P.s. Happy to see you're attracting sponsors for your channel and that by lap 20 you were feeling it :-) I'm enjoying it all. Gracias.
Well done on an epic day. You deserve a beer or two for that one. Just may have become my next cycling goal 🤔
Brilliant effort.
I think I’m doing well climbing it once !
Simply Inspiring 👌
Well done Tristan! Love your videos. You are an inspiration in your own way. Thank you and look forward to more great videos.
Congratulations! Ouch! Nice bike...

Insane effort mate! 💪🏼 Especially vlogging it all the way! Congrats! 🎉
Thanks dude. That was probably the hardest thing to do well throughout actually. Glad you enjoyed it!
Tristan, you popped up in my recommendations a couple of days ago and I'm slowly making my way through your videos and I love the filming, editing and your approach to this our passion😊
Keep up with the fantastic work!
Thanks so much! So stoked to have you along for the ride! 🙏🏼
Another brilliant video. Thank you for following that impulse to start a RUclips channel, I promise you're going to keep growing. You're one of the best out there!
Thanks Rodrigo! Fingers crossed I can keep improving. 👌🏼
👏 Great effort Tristan!

Cheers man! 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Great video! Seeing your video ‘almost’ makes me want to go and add a third Everesting notch to my belt!
Worth doing for sure 😏
The feat and video are astonishing but the support from the community gets me choked up. Love to see it.
Agreed..so good to have the Girona crew up there to help with motivation!
EPIC
Congratulations not only on the Everesting but also on the continual growth of the channel.
Thanks David!
Epic ❤
Fantastic - Haribo is the food of kings. My personal favourite is "tangfastics".
Congratulations Tristan! Long term fan since your first video. I actually still remember you selling your madone on fb bm. Such an achievement Everesting but more importantly thank you for sharing your journey to this point. Demonstrating what happens if you take your own path, follow your passions and owning it is something most people spend their whole lifetime chasing yet struggle to achieve. I’m sure you have faced a lot of challenges along the way but don’t share online. The sponsorships alone are validation that you are doing a good job. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much Tony. Cool to hear you’ve kept up with what I’ve been up to. I think I realised around that time (selling the Madone and moving to Girona) that I’ve only got a finite number of years to live this age and style of life, so I might as well do it in the most enjoyable way possible. 🙏🏼
Brilliant!
Thanks Dan!
You made it look easy! It is not easy! Well done. I can do the same watts, but I'm 83kg :D
Crazy buddy
On this rainy Sunday morning in Sydney with no riding I refresh my subscribe feed and a video by Tristan appears. I race to the kitchen to make pancakes and coffee to enjoy another video feast. Let the good times roll!
A compliment of the highest order. Thanks man..stoked to be a part of your day! 🙌🏼
@@tristantakevideo thank you for all the work you put into the videos. I really appreciate it. Congratulations on the new bike partnership.
The headwrap twisted on the stem and bars like that is genius.
My go-to move when it gets too warm on winter days. Glad you appreciate it. 🙏🏼
simply epic mate. didn't know a wahoo batttery would last that long (and certainly won't be finding out if mine does)! xD
Haha thanks man. It lasted until I was right near home again. About 16 hours total time.
What I found most impressive about this Everesting, is that you have now completed 3 attempts in total. WHAT THE FCK!?! Bonkers.
Mentally, this achievement is sooo impressive. Great content to document it also. Keep it up!
Thanks man 🙏🏼 If you’re impressed by that, definitely check out my friend Jack (Jack Ultra Cyclist) who is currently doing an Everesting every single week for 2022..he’s documenting it on his channel and I’m helping a little with the video side of things. He’s a proper beast on a bike. Glad you’re enjoying the episodes mate!
kudos 👍
that haribo face like a kid getting his first bike on xmas morning.....love it
Hahaha it felt exactly like that.
Great stuff mate, I believe you’re finally turning to the ultra side. You need to start doing some ultra racing super long distance stuff with your boy Jack
Got a couple big ones coming up this year!
Hey Tristan, this is the second time I watch your video! Thanks for the content! I wanted to ask you, what is the front light setup you have under your wahoo? I’ve been meaning to find something like this for my bike as well.
Cheers!!
fuck yea dude, inspirational!!
Mate that is an awesome video. What was the very chilled piece of music at the end.
Thanks man. That was a very fitting stock track I found through Epidemic Sound that I use for all my video music.
Brilliant 🌸
Did you find this boring?
@@tristantakevideo what? Oh gosh I'm so sorry that was supposed to be a reply on Facebook. Apologies.
@@whichypoohs Oh I see...haha. I was going to ask for feedback!
@@tristantakevideo i often put things in the wrong place haha
👏👏🙌
Amazing performance and video! How did you manage water supply, is there a water source on Els Angels?
Thanks man. I took 2.5L of water in my backpack, another 1.5L on the bike on the way there, and the bottle Hugo dropped off was another 1.25L. Which got me through, just. In an ideal world I would’ve had more.
9k of climbing… 😵💫 *** faints *** 😆🍻
😂🥲
Awesome effort.. did you catch the Everestng fever from Jack?
I’ve always loved climbing and the Everests I did in 2017 and 2019 were motivation to want to do it again, but seeing what Jack is doing is definitely inspiring. And on another level. 😮
Nice one! I do have a question, how did you keep the wahoo bolt kept going for so long? Did you charge it during breaks?
Thanks man. I didn’t charge it but I would’ve needed to had I been an hour longer. The Bolt lasts about 16 hours.
Hey mate, what camera are you using on the bike for the Vlogs?
Hey man, I shoot all the riding footage with an iPhone 13 Pro 👌🏼
Mallorca 312 prep?
