    FROM KEMPER:
    KEMPER PROFILER PLAYER - THE LITTLE GREEN BEAST PREMIUM PEDAL
    KEMPER PROFILER PLAYER - THE LEGACY AND THE NEXT INCARNATION OF THE PROFILER PLATFORM
    The KEMPER PROFILER has changed the world of guitar tone significantly. The acclaimed KEMPER PROFILING technology and the brand-new Liquid Profiles provide the best amp tones anytime and anywhere possible - offering consistent accuracy and also a convenient package for touring, traveling, and studio use.
    The KEMPER PROFILER Player is the latest and the most complete serving of professional amp tones and studio-grade FX per footprint. Requiring only the floorboard space of two standard distortion pedals the PROFILER Player turns any pedal board into an arena-grade touring rig. And, what’s more, the Player indeed itself is already the arena-grade touring rig that fits in every guitar bag. It offers the full arsenal of KEMPER amp tones (yes, the Amp section of the Player sounds identical to the amp section of its famous Big Brothers - it loads any amp PROFILE from the vast library of existing free and commercial PROFILEs), selected FX settings, IR loading, and switching capabilities - at home, in the studio, in the rehearsal room, and on stage.
    MADE IN GERMANY: THE LITTLE GREEN MONSTER, THE SON OF A PROFILER, THE KEMPER PROFILER PLAYER, PREMIUM PEDAL - CONCEPT AND FEATURES
    At first glance, the PROFILER Player is an easy-access guitar amp with familiar classic controls, where you can store your precious amp channel settings.
    The amp section of the Player sounds identical to the amp section of its famous Big Brothers. It loads any amp PROFILE from the vast library of existing free and commercial PROFILEs out there.
    Rigs from the big PROFILERs are fully compatible within the limits of the Player’s 4 FX slots.
    If you want to dig deeper and access every single effect setting, the Rig Manager remote app connects to the Player through USB or WLAN on a platform of your choice.
    Connect your phone to the Player by Bluetooth to play along your guitar licks to Spotify.
    At home the Player is the perfect rehearsal amp, on stage, it is a self-contained KEMPER PROFILER.
    Turn the PROFILER Player into a combo amp by connecting one or two KEMPER Power Kabinets.
    The Player is reduced to the max and therefore also a match for bass players and acoustic guitarists. Also, keyboard players will enjoy the leading tube amp PROFILEs and studio-grade effects to spice up their sounds.
    Expand the live control capabilities simply by adding expression pedals or additional foot-switches. MIDI via USB - Supports typical USB2MIDI cables
    Four effect blocks elevate the Player to a professional stand-alone live solution.
    The PROFILER Player offers a selection of some the finest effects in the world. As a company, KEMPER is also responsible for creating the ACCESS™ VIRUS™, one of the most successful synthesizers of all time. Nearly 25 years of experience.
    Along with the standard effects, you will find algorithms rarely seen in a guitar processor - these include an authentic rotary speaker and studio-grade reverbs, offering amazing rooms, large halls, even lush, pad-like ambiences and many more.
    The Player’s signal chain comprises 4 effect modules in addition to the amplifier stack. Up to two effects can be placed "pre" the amp stack, and another two "post" the amp. The post-amp modules of the effect chain are ideal for delay and reverb effects. Both delay and reverb offer "spillover"at any time, meaning the sonic tail is not cut off when you change to another Rig.
    The Player offers a massive, well-curated selection of 136 different FX settings taken from the legendary KEMPER PROFILER FX arsenal that features over 444 FX presets in total.

    You have missed what many have by not checking the manual, it has TRS balanced outputs much like the line 6 HX Stomp. These are cheap and convert the monitor outs to balanced stereo outs (no DI Boxes needed to FOH): From the. manual:
    "The Monitor Outputs are balanced and can be used with both unbalanced (TS) and balanced (TRS) cables. To feed devices with balanced inputs no DI-boxes are required. If the receiving device offers balanced XLR inputs, a TRS to XLR (male) adapter or cable can be used."

    3:42 Finally someone explained my one and only question :). I expected the software to be that intuitive that after copying rigs, it will ask me which 2 pre & 2 post effects i want to keep. Maybe in the future this would be an amazing update and I think easy to develop. Thanks for clarification

  • @BLongmusic
    @BLongmusic 4 месяца назад

    I’m pretty sure that if you want stereo outputs, you would use the TRS left & right outputs, Those are balanced outputs. You would just need TRS 1/4” to male XLR cables.

    My question is: what happens when you recover a rig from another Kemper (with more effects)? You can choose the effects to use?

  • @stevenkastner5678
    @stevenkastner5678 7 месяцев назад

    You can safely connect to FOH from the TS unbalanced stereo outputs of the Profile Player by simply connecting each of the unbalanced outputs to a direct box (AKA D.I. Box). The D.I. Box converts a short TS cable that won't add noise to the signal to a balanced XLR or TRS cable.
    Or, if you wanted to go really high tech and add a way to split the signal from the Profile Player to connect to both a FOH mix and a recording interface at up to 100 meters, check out the Cranborne Audio C.A.S.T. system.

      Your first paragraph is something I see everyone who is complaining about the Player's I/O completely ignoring. Thank you for mentioning it.
      If anything what the unfortunate real deal breaker with this unit is for me is the fact that there's no FX loop.

    Thanks for the great demos and info, John. Can you touch on the Player’s cab IR support? Mono/stereo, sample rate, etc? I’m curious to know if it can actually load third-party IRs as is, or if it transforms them into an EQ curve as the Toaster does. Thanks!

    Im totally new to Kemper and im trying to understand if lack of FX loop is problematic (since lots don't have fx loop)
    If run a line out to FOH / Recording Desk from the player - if my delay and reverb are after the Kemper I won't have those effects in the FOH sound..... problem. So.... do I then go out from the last pedal in the chain AFTER the player as that will also have the amp/cab/mic sound.....? Is a DI box at the end of the chain required...... Or can I just run the delay and reverb INTO the player after my other pedals and not have it distort and jump as badly as it does direct into the front of an amp. Really it's the only thing keeping me from ordering.
    PS- I know the player has effect slots after the amp but I want to use my preferred analog delay and reverb pedals.

    Hey There ! Thanks for this Informative video. I had 2 questions.
    1) I am seeing L and R Outputs in the back aren't those for stereo outputs? i mean if you connect both L and R outputs to a Di boxes can't you run the pedal in stereo? and
    2) How can i use this pedal in my pedal board as an amp and cab simulator cause i am not seeing any send return outputs here. Thanks !

    • @PlayandTradeGuitars
      @PlayandTradeGuitars  7 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks! You could try running direct boxes yes, but Kemper makes no mention of this as it's not their intended output routing. If you're asking about an effects loop, it does not have one. You'd have to put effect pedals before or after the unit directly.

    Hey John, Thanks for the demos.
    Question: Can I run two different outputs at the same time with a different chain for each? In other words, effects only with left or right monitor send to my fender amp, and amp simulator, sim cab, and effects to FOH with XLR out?

    So, for someone with a Powered Toaster, who wants to downsize, what will I lose? I don't create profiles. Can't see keeping both. I'm just a home player now, doubt I will ever be on stage again. Hopefully I can use all my current ToneJunkies profiles. I do have one on order 🙂 My issue is my CAB is not powered. May plug it into my Fender FR12, or sell my CAB and get a powered one. Thanks for all this info!
