Ingredients
200 grams button mushrooms
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 medium onions finely chopped
50 grams butter
6-7 garlic cloves finely chopped
100 ml heavy cream
2 tbsp all purpose flour
salt to taste
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp paprika
2 tsp dry basil
2 tsp dry thyme
Fresh parsley/coriander for garnish
1 cup hot water/vegetable stock

I just tried this.. and mann oh man! It turned out sooooo delicious! Thank you soo much for this recipe.. seriously loooved it.. (ps: I used red chilli powder instead of paprika, oregano instead of basil and coriander instead of parsley. Still it was sooo yummy)

Anybody still wondering whether they should try it or not just don't think and simply go ahead! This recipe tastes amazing! Cooked mushrooms at home for the very first time and used this video and it turned out so good.
I didn't have heavy cream at home so substituted it with coconut milk and instead of basil and thyme I had oregano only and used chilli flakes as well. Don't worry there won't be any weird coconut smell if you use this instead of heavy cream.

I just tried this recipe, with two changes. I used milk instead of cream and the regular wheat flour (aata) instead of the all purpose flour (maida) since I did not have those ingredients. It turned out amazing :) thank you!

I tried this today and it was DIVINE. I made a few changes, I sauteed the mushrooms in a garlic confit + herb butter I made previously, plus I deglazed the pan with white wine before adding the cream. I didn’t have dried basil so I used herbs de provence. Thank you sm for this video

I made it too and and put a teaspoon of extra butter
I replaced thime and parsley with dried fenugreek, oregano and chilli flakes
And see what, I ate half of it in kitchen only

Amazing recipe ! I put the flour in first and kept stirring it to avoid lumps . Its difficult to stir rapidly when you put the mushrooms in first . Some cheese on the top makes it even more delicious !

To avoid the lumps...I mixed the flour and some water(room temperature) in a bowl..before adding
I added tomatoes carrots and beans with onion worked magically..

Just tried this recipe and it was delicious, just be adviced however that whenever low heat is instructed, it actually means medium.
The downside to this dish is that it's pretty calorically heavy for what it is (and I'm not even counting the pasta or rice that you'll serve it with). Reducing the oil, butter and flour by half makes no difference on the flavor or texture of the dish while knocking off hundreds (yes, plural) of calories. Simmering uncovered for about an extra 5-10 minutes made up for the tbps of flour i omitted.
Next time I cook this I'll substitute the heavy cream with evaporated milk and knock off another 200 calories.

Just a tip..don’t use hot water, mostly try to pour stock or broth (vegan) like she said bcz stock will thin out the gravy and prevents the mistake of gravy thickening (Wch could accidentally happens)
