You once did a show about Asian Carp and how tasty they are. Why haven't people taken on harvesting these from the Mississippi for, at the very least, fish sandwiches/sticks and the like? Are Ol' Miss and her tributaries too toxic?
There’s better options than carp in those waters.
They taste like crap at least over here.

Hello Chef Zimmern huge fan. I have a question for you I'll put in the comments since i don't know any other way to reach out.
Im in the south and my local grocery store sells cheap pork steak and various cuts of pork meat. Sometimes they dont specify the specific cut of pork, but I find these to have way more marbeling and better flavor than actual pork chops or tenderloin.
My question is do you yourself find cheaper cuts of pork to taste better than the more expensive pork chops. I feel like im getting away with a great crime because im paying less and enjoying the heck out of my cheap pork. The late great Anthony Bourdain did say it takes more artistry and skill to cook cheaper cuts of meat and make it taste amazing, anybody can cook a ribeye.
