You have always highlighted great places for years. Not everyone will make the James Beard award. Not because they are not amazing, sometimes there is not enough room at the top because of all the amazing places. It's like picking the most beautiful woman or the best dad.

I wish I could make you a bowl of my grandmother's chili. I haven't been all over the world, but I've been around the US enough and would always try the chili which I never liked, at all. I grew up eating her chili that doesn't taste like any other chili I've ever had. I made it a point to have her tell me how to make it before she died or couldn't remember. I'm not going to give up the secret ingredient, but I'll say a large part of the flavor is a lack of spices. other than salt pepper and Garlick. I used to watch your show on cable years ago, good stuff.
