The lo-fi, no talking, watching woodwork while lazily sipping coffee. This is a VIBE. Lo-fi workshop should just be a thing on its own. Beautiful board
I know I'm late to the party and you may never see this, but beautiful work! I'm contemplating a board build out of Black Walnut, and am scarfing up anything I can find on pedalboard building. Thanks for the video, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Very nice. The use of the sled for the angled cuts and the slots for the cross boards has been what I’ve tried to figure out how to do. Nice work with the dowels for the joints too 👌🏻
Came here to research ideas for building a pedalboard, I’m now officially quitting music and taking up woodworking......amazing craftsmanship, awesome video!
I built one similar to this - never really cared about how it looked so mine is a lot more quick & dirty - but it's the same slanted, horizontal board design. It's great, but if you want to attach your pedals with zipties you should install vertical straps of some kind, otherwise zipties don't really work unless you drill holes or something. That's the one improvement that I would suggest to this design (and that I will add next time I make one).
You can probably do this with less than 50 bucks in tools. Even less if you already own the basic ones like a hand saw and a drill. As I see all I really need is a hand saw, a chisel, a hammer and some sandpaper.
Yup, it will just take longer. I built a book shelf out of pine with a jigsaw, a couple of chisels, a simple right angle square and a 4 oz claw hammer.
incredible. do you have the measurements / plans for this ? what are the dimensions ? i have a friend who wants one, i'm going to try to make him one. thanks
So, no jointing at all? Lately I've seen slot of woodworkers just throw lumber thru the planer without jointing first. I'm asking because I'm debating whether I really need to buy one or not.
Love this! Have been trying to do something very similar. One question: why did you not feel the need to fasten the cross pieces with anything other than glue? Trying to decide if I should do something to make sure they are secure in place
Impressive! Glad I clicked on this and watched. Where did you get the rubber feet for the corners and handle from? Nice little detailed touch. Thanks for sharing
Me too haha. I made it for a friend and I haven't actually had a good look at how he set it up. I think the music in the background is Kings of Leon? I could be wrong
David Larbey it's not bad, it's not great either. The fence has alignment issues and I always to have to re adjust it to make it parallel with the blade. But most table saws in this price range will have the same issue and will perform similarly I think.
A beatiful work of art for sure. However, a minor criticism: that looks a bit heavy and excessively sturdy. That's not something you perhaps like to carry around small gigs all the time, at least for me. I'd probably build one from plywood, aluminum and quality veneer. Just my 2 cents. Anyway, great work, keep it up.
How heavy would you say this wound up compared to a pedaltrain of roughly the same size? I'm really wanting to build my own but want to make sure it's worth it before I get started. Also great work man that's a beautiful board.
Thanks man. I don’t know how heavy the pedal trains are but this one didn’t seem too heavy to be annoying to carry around. Dimensions were 640 x 320mm. I can’t remember how high it was or the angle, I just played around with it until I thought it looked good
Fwiw, with exotic and high oil timbers (walnut for american species), you really should be wearing breathing protection. Exotic woods can actually have non-visible spalting, and breathing that in can make you really sick. As well, many of those timbers are high irritants and can make you ill from that.

Never too late! All the best for your build! Thanks for the comment!
This is my favourite pedalboard design. Absolutely amazing. I was so inspired by it, I have created my own from kwila and pine. Outstanding work mate.
Thats not a pedalboard. Thats a work of art! So beautiful man. Absolutely stunning...
Massive respect for listening to Kings of Leon. Whether that was just the radio or you playing it. Lol. Great work
nice contrast between the red and the white, good craftsmanship too!
Best DIY board ive seen, thanks for the inspo

haha I'm sure you can do both! Thanks for the comment :D

Thank you!
Its so pretty I wouldn't want to step on it!
Simply beautiful! Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
I agree. Nice design and build.
Just... wow. The craftsmanship, the attention to detail... That is beautiful work. Looking to start doing this myself, what advice can you give me?
Livingthat Twelvelife thank you! I'd say take your time to plan each step to make sure you get everything right and don't make the wrong cut

Ryobi commercial
Wow! Inspired me to make my own!
Juicy pedalboard ! like for lo-fi radio !
Looks great. Nice work! 🤓🤘
This was truly amazing to watch. You sir, are awesome.
And you are too kind!

I'm sure the mahogany and ash wood will improve the guitar tone! lol! Seriously, great work!
Its so satisfying I wish I had the tools to do stuff like this

excelente trabajo bro, tienes las medidas de la madera?
Nicely done sir and gorgeous choice of woods.. :)
Your pedalboard is incredible, congratulations !!!
Dang that came out clean! very nice!
Craftsmanship on fire
Nicely done.
Is that Jazz Vibes playlist? Good job man!
Spectacular!!! I want one.

Beautiful design 👍
Congratulations Bro... Very, Very good This pedalboard, I'm Brazil, good job man!
Great job! Great channel! I love it
The farther away the better, cool.
Gorgeous, very well done!
Nice job, its like a work of art and i would almost not want to put pedals on it because it looks so beautiful..
Nice build. Ryobi should sponsor you😏
Hi! Could you share the plans in the description? I went to "Get my Plans", but it was not there. Thanks!!
Wowww...very, very nice work!
👏👏👏👏👏👏😎
Dude, this is beautiful!!!
Great job, but what the weight? It means to me so heavy.
2:24 how do you stabilize that rig when moving it?
cool project! what a strange way to place the step stool btw ahahha
It is?? Whats wrong with it?? haha
incredible. do you have the measurements / plans for this ? what are the dimensions ?
i have a friend who wants one, i'm going to try to make him one. thanks
Pedalboard di lusso! 😀
beautiful
my plan is repurpose an old briefcase 😅
please show us what kind of gear ended up on it, i wanna see the pedalboard design and layout (i'm a gear nerd)
Aight. I'ma try to build something like that.
That is a fine looking pedalboard!
Matthew Cain thank you!
Great job!
much too nice to put on the floor at a pub gig!
What an art! Do you do special orders?
So much beautiful

Thanks! Glue is more than enough to hold it together and it looks cleaner without any fasteners
Looks awesome, man!! Would love to see how it looks with the pedals on it and how you attached them. Great work!
Thanks! Sadly I didn't get any shots with the pedals on it as I made it for a friend who picked it up once it was finished.
Love the pedalboard. Any chance you could let me know the basic dimensions u used?
Thanks. It was 640 x 320mm
Last Minute Thoughts awesome - bought wood today. Should be fun!
The Offcut hello sir! Very nice job. By the way you didn’t mention the thickness of each part. Around 1” or more?
Looks sharp, but how do you fix each pedal on that? I would hate to see you sticking velcros onto that...
Excelent!
How many pedals can you put ok it? Could you write the measurement of the surface?
I think the measurement was 300mm x 600mm. Holds about 10 standard size pedals
Very Nice 👍🏻
So I’m curious, I don’t see you jointing anything just using the planer. Did you buy that s4s already?
Great pedalboard man. Definately one of the slickest builds on yt. Is there any chance you could provide me with rough dimensions for the pedalboard?
Impressive! Glad I clicked on this and watched. Where did you get the rubber feet for the corners and handle from? Nice little detailed touch. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! I found it at a local DIY/electronics store. But I'm sure you can find them on aliexpress
Bro.... seriously, that's awesome. The only thing better than the board itself, is the music you had on in the background. WHAT IS THAT!?!
Hahaha Thank you! Check out Chillhop on youtube or spotify. That's what I was listening to. My go-to work music
Just made one roughly the same size in mahogany, I’d be interested to see your solution to routing the cables.
Nice! I made this for a friend so I didn't see how he fed the cables through it.
Perfect!!!
That looks amazing I need one..
Thank you! I do make these to sell :)
Anyone knows what did he use at 9:47? Please :p
Its danish oil
What size is the pedalboard?
What are his measurements? height, sides, front, back?
Awesome
May I have the draft about this?
I'd love to see what you put on it! What's the music at 2:58?
Me too haha. I made it for a friend and I haven't actually had a good look at how he set it up. I think the music in the background is Kings of Leon? I could be wrong
I am inspired by your work lol. Would you mind telling me what angle of elevation you used to get that slope?
How do like the Ryobi table saw, looking to buy the same one would appreciate an opinion good , bad or otherwise.
David Larbey it's not bad, it's not great either. The fence has alignment issues and I always to have to re adjust it to make it parallel with the blade. But most table saws in this price range will have the same issue and will perform similarly I think.
That's what I thought when I looked at in Bunnings might have pay more and get the Dewalt
Really nice job!
IM me with your price.
I'm about to go ahead with my plywood design unless you can talk me out of it.
Awesome work! Why do you not use a dado blade?
Perfection!
How long does a project like this normally take?
Jason Carlin I Built one and honestly it could be done in a day or maybe three depending on the glue and stain or whatever he coated it with
Does anyone know what size this one is?
it is 600 x 300mm

No such thing as too sturdy :)
@@felix.delrubio Of course it does. Mount the power supply under the board, cables go through the gaps between the slats.
wow so beautiful. but so i think its so heavy
Beautiful
How heavy would you say this wound up compared to a pedaltrain of roughly the same size? I'm really wanting to build my own but want to make sure it's worth it before I get started. Also great work man that's a beautiful board.
Also do you remember the dimensions of this board? Or how you decided on an angle?
Thanks man. I don’t know how heavy the pedal trains are but this one didn’t seem too heavy to be annoying to carry around. Dimensions were 640 x 320mm. I can’t remember how high it was or the angle, I just played around with it until I thought it looked good
Beautiful! This is perhaps the best one I’ve seen of the DIY pedalboards.
What angle did you use for the rise?
Probably 28°
What miter saw are you using? Thanks for another great video.
Its a Toolshed miter saw. NZ brand
what are the dimensions?
nossa ficou top
I want to order exactly that one; How much? and I need that shipped to Mexico...
I'm serious.
How much practice before i can move that fast?
haha just record yourself and speed up the video. then you'll be moving fast
Topppp....... muito showwwww...
Top
can you turn up the volume on those power tools a little bit though pls
Muito lindo
nice
