- In January 1982 Richard O'Brien was interviewed about the release of Shock Treatment. A film that was called, by many, a 'follow-up" to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. This, and more, are discussed in an interview that has a somewhat bizarre and perhaps unnecessary ending to it !

i literally love richard so much he is so cool i really wish to meet him one day!!! his work has literally changed my life
Very good interview, very factual, the interviewer allows dickie to open up and let him have all the attention. Spot on, this is how interviews should be ❤❤
Can't stop smiling
Nice to hear Richard talk about Shocky without hating on it. Go easy on the interviewer, guys… anyhow, love that bit at 14:51. Thanks for posting this.
Blimey, that interviewer was so stiff - doesn't roll with anything, doesn't show any emotional response to anything... I would think an interviewer who could 'connect' to his guest would've been a better choice.
Dude looked like he didn't like what Richard obrien did😂
+Caleb Gorzell Well, it was slightly stupid what he did.
I find it only made the experience that much more memorable and the Interview much more interesting. There were some questions earlier in his personal life about going to a restaurant. While it did explain a bit of his character I feel that It might have been a bit prying and perhaps Mr. O'Brien felt since asked about his less formal side would demonstrate some of that. I think the interviewer needed to relax a bit more. He seemed stern and O'Brien looks like he's almost studying his uptight demeanor. Regardless he was obviously just having some fun with the interviewer trying to perhaps give him a bit of Shock Treatment so to speak.
rtchard o'brien...love his brilliance...
Richard is a trooper his approach to relationships and love story with a quirky sensous flavour keeping us on our toes.❤
I hate Rock´n´Roll, but when Richard does it, it´s very good, so.......I loooooooove
RICHARD NEVER AGES....THIS IS 1982....CHECK HIM IN 2019 ....HE LOOKS THE SAME / FROZEN IN TIME
absolutely
This video was done in the year i was born and literally 39 years later Richard still looks the same, He was epic on The Crystal Maze.
It's just a jump to the left
Lost in Time , and Meaning 😉
Thanks for sharing this, it was interesting.
Lfmao the ending bro
Too bad he never made another Brad and Janet film
He did. It was called Shock Treatment. Different actors played them. Wasn't as good as Rocky Horror.
Chris Gardner I guess he meant another Film besides Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment
XD I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM
it was 1981, what you await? Richard did a very good job, I love it for 30 years, and his voice is a dream,. but the interviewer is a non humour sleeping pill
I seem to remember this film was a total flop.
MrLetmein2011 it was.
When you release a film for one midnight, you’re not gonna get much cash out of it.
I just can say...NO FLOP...for ME, ME ME ME,haha
undeserved one at that
I loved it, save for the ending. It feels like the same universe as mechanical animals by Marilyn Manson
WAIT...so, Colin Baker did the CAMERA?!?:'D
This film should’ve been delayed, they should’ve gone with the original vision of shooting it out in a town in America. Limitations ruined it because the actors strike.
Love the ending, Richard is awesome.
14:48😂😂wtf
We thought the same in the studio!
When i clicked on this video I thought i`d be hearing abut Richards own shock treatment for some or other problem !!!!
NoiceCream² Isn't he pretty much saying "I can't stand you and I'd like to throttle you now"?
Riff Raff😹 he probably just wanted to see if he would react to anything, clearly he doesn't 💙 he didn't want the interview to be deemed boring♤ at least, through no fault of his own 💕
That was so funny and random! Ha ha
THis man is my spirit husband but no to the strangling
Ha ha, yes, maybe you're right!
