    A contribution:
To broaden the audience for this information, it would be better to identify the generation of the car by chassis number or code, as occurs for example with BMW or Porsche.
Because the model years vary a lot with the market or region where it is sold.
In this case it is the chassis number T7F (Face-lift), later the next generation of products designated the R (Re-style or redesign), as well as the ninth generation T9 and its restyle T9R.
Until reaching the present tenth generation P5.
Something crucial when the brand uses the same identification plate for different models, which are marketed at the same time.
    There are three 408's:
    • 408 (T73), a compact sedan or saloon derived from the eighth (video) generation T7, still marketed until two years ago in Mercosur.
    • 408 (T93RR), also a compact sedan, direct successor to the T73 and as its acronym indicates, it is in its second restyle and is based on the T9 generation, main market: Asia (China).
    • 408 (P54), with a Crossover body, segment C, the only one of the three with a presence in Europe and a global reach (also marketed in Asia).
    A cordial greeting.

French Cars are appealing, but beware of electronic problems and the most are sensor problem displaying on the dash. Unlike Kia Cee'd, peugeot is full of sensor and unnecessary fault display on the dash screen that would prevent your anual or biannual control by professional before you are given the ok certification.
