  • I hope your Advent is a great time of preparation, renewal, and JOY! We’re continuing our Advent series with my friend Fr. Michael O’Loughlin. Fr. Michael is the pastor at the Proto-Cathedral of St. Mary in Los Angeles.
Our topic today is Evangelization-wait, isn’t that something missionaries do? No, my friend, you can evangelize TODAY in your corporate job! I talk with Fr. Michael about what it looks like when he goes to a bar (literally), what it means to call others to the Lord, and practical tips you can use to evangelize in everyday life.
And as always, don’t forget to like and share this video with a friend and subscribe to our RUclips channel so that you never miss an episode of the Chris Stefanick Show!

YES 🙌🏻 this is awesome! I mention the word “Church” subtly when I take my church clothes to the dry cleaners, whn i go to the groceries while having my small interaction with the cashiers, “these flowers 💐 are for my Church”, when I go to the department stores and say “these clothes are perfect for church, these shoes….” Etc etc etc
When my TRIPLE A technician came to help me with my car battery- I told him “thank you for coming to help me so fast, I was on my way to Church….” Etc etc etc ❤❤❤❤
THERE QRE SO MANY WAYS to evangelize in our small daily lives…
LADY OF GUADALUPE PLEASE 🙏🏻 HELP US!💙🌹💛🇺🇸💔🕊️

It’s because of that quote, that I heard from Fr Mike Schmitz, that I am doing something this Christmas that makes me step out of my comfort zone. I often don’t say or do things because of fear. I still fear that reaching out to friends and family this way may be met with some losses, but I still few called to press forward. Please pray that their hearts are touched and seeds are planted. 🙏❤️

Something else he said is not to just hit someone with it. Put it out there at the right time when it can ease into the conversation in a natural manner. I suppose you can guide the conversation to get there but don't pounce.

Fascinating! I loved this so much. The Byzantine Church sounds amazing and super interesting. I loved the way that Fr. Michael O'Loughlin explained it. I also loved the advice of evangelization. It makes me want to find someone to evangelize and share the Gospel with everyone I meet! Praise Jesus!

Reminds me of a scene from "The Chosen" where Mary Magdalene was hanging out in a bar drinking her woes away...then Jesus showed up in that tavern/pub/bar which started her conversion.

Id love to go to Rome. However I'm struggling these days and kind of made a mess of my finances. Praying all will be better soon. I'm grateful for all given. Loving Jesus no matter what. Thank you for the information you share about the faith. I so love our Catholic faith.

Bravo!!! This is one of your best interviews. Father is one of the best to explain all things Byz. I love how he talks about the East mystery and West simplicity. That makes so much sense and we 100% need both. I need both. WOW! I could never explain it as good. I am so happy you did this episode. I will share this with all!! I also love that Mother Natalia made your Chotki. I love her. She is a wonderful and caring woman and a prayerful nun. Then the discussion of "meeting people where they are"...wow! I'm not crying, you're crying. THIS is what I want to do. I am trying to be more uncomfortable and to draw people in to God. I love this message. Bravo again! Father Mike is a gem! May God grant him many happy and Blessed years of health and happiness and evangelization! Then the story of St. Christopher and the scripture about the woman and the scraps...Stop it! That is the best explanation of both of those. How have I never heard that. Cradle Catholic here, hello? Thank you so much for what you both do. I am truly inspired now! WOW!

Well, I have been to the Byzantine church is in Northern Virginia when I lived there. And Christendom college had a graduate Who is the Byzantine Catholic married with kids and has the Institute of Catholic culture based in California right now.
I also like the Greek orthodox church people. We don’t agree on every detail, but I love icons and that’s in both of those churches. I love every aspect of worshiping Jesus and I’m glad this priest is on there. But the splits mean nothing to me I am more interested in loving Jesus, and the way these churches do it is pretty darn good. If you ask me, Jesus loves the attention, and he loves to be worshiped. We honor God, the king of the universe all of us.
