    Hi Chris!
I love your show and haven’t missed any episode since you started, but I just had time to write a coment on this one.
Could you please ask Fr. Geraci to go to France and look at the new Catholic groups that are bringing back the faith? France is coming back with the amazing power of the Holy Spirit. It is mind blowing!
In 2000, I was invited to the first evening of adoration led by some young adults who went to World Youth day in Rome. The groups’s name is Abba. We were about 50, praising and praying in the back chapel of a big church. Only one year later, the whole church was filled with young adults and there were 4 priests listening to confessions. And that is just one example of what I saw. France is not lost.

Beautiful! I've been in love with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy since 2006. All of this was so well and beautifully said. I heard someone once ask our group as we were planning a fancy benefit/ Gala, what is THE Greatest Act of Charity one can make? Thoughts went immediately to donation amounts, homeless intervention, gift of self, etc, and then the answer was offered, The single greatest act of Charity one can ever offer is FORGIVENESS. Jesus Christ clearly illustrated that by His death on the cross. It isn't deserved, it isn't always desired, it is pure charity/ love.

That's so interesting the fictional book I was writing. One of them anyway. Kinda is pretty much about all the topics discussed in this video. Also kinda weird you mentioned the prodigal son. I have a box with a bunch of scripture verses in it that I randomly pick from at the start of every year. And that snippet is my verse for the year. The one I picked was that exact moment of the father embracing his son. And what's interesting to me about that story is the son came back to the Father not because he felt guilty for his actions but rather because he had no choice. The father let the son experience the natural consequences of his actions. The son endured a chastisement of sorts caused by his own hands. Which forced him back into the arms of his forgiving Father. He went back for selfish reasons but was still celebrated and forgiven. The father was still overjoyed because it meant he could love and protect and care for his son again. It was a perspective on the story I hadn't considered before.

    ❤ important conversation - thankyou.
I think humans do need to release anger for all generational & situational trauma.. but identifying it first is important. Allows forgiveness to current persecution & understanding of programming 😮

The clip re tearing up another’s transgressions and asking Our Lord to have mercy on those that hurt us came up in my mind during my rosary yesterday. I contemplated how Christ IS Mercy itself and how what we bind on earth we bind in heaven. By not asking Christ to be merciful to that person who deeply hurt us is asking Him to not give of himself. We are asking Christ to hold Himself back and this in itself has to be painful Christ, to withhold Himself from giving His very being to a beloved soul. The greater the sinner, the greater access he has to His mercy. We need to let go and truly trust in His Divine Mercy and Justice. Look at those that ferociously attacked Him during His Passion & Crucifixion. He asked God to forgive them because they did not know what they were doing. Only God knows the true intentions and understanding of those that have hurt us. When people know better, they usually do better. Those that wound others without regard don’t really know or have a relationship with Christ.

Amen Chris forgiveness is the hardest thing to do. It takes a lot of courage to forgive somebody. I forgiven a lot of people, and I still forgive. I hate I miss you in St. Louis, but had to leave my daughter back to Louisiana because she had to go back for an interview. Maybe I’ll catch you sometime else in the future. God bless Chris and thanks so much for doing what you do.

When I decide to forgive someone, well it’s easy to do if both of them have passed on. But is it possible to just in my heart for truly forgive someone! or do I need to contact them and verbally tell them that I forgive them

The Imitation of Christ: "Peace is in the heart of the devout and fervent, not in those who are carnal and give themselves to outward things."
Social media pulls us away from where our focus should be...on God.

Sounds like it might be necessary to protect yourself as Chris said of someone that hurt him. He forgave but does not want to communicate with them. I am learning I have to do this (although it has been extremely difficult)with my own sister to protect my family from her chaos. Praying one day she realizes what she has done, is sorry and we can all welcome her back.

Would depend on the motivation and circumstances.
I don't participate in social media, but it seems to me unfriending leaves no possibility of reconciliation (how else could that person contact you?). On the other hand it may be necessary to protect oneself. (We are not obligated to give another a platform to abuse us--commit further sin--so it could be loving to unfriend.) Tricky wicket, that.
      Prayers for discernment...
