The "be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ" most likely means the spiritual baptism or the new birth status. Refer to the great commission in Matthew 28.

But I believe it NEEDS to be espoused) Paul says in..."Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." And get this...James says NO! Like, "Fer yeez gotta 'WOKE and Fate' to be saved"! Like in his book...James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Now, which one is the truth? Huh? Well Paul is: because of Jesus' Gospel. For James was satan-led, to say, you must work to be saved. But, Jesus did NOT say that. For he said, "To be saved, is ONLY one thing", in... John 3:15 That whosoever believes in Him shall not perish (in hell), but have Eternal Life. He was saying that if you don't work for the benefit of others, your faith is as good as dead. It won't benfeit anyone. He says nothing about losing salvation or not being saved. Context. He also talks about works justifying you before men. Not God. He's not demonic. Just constantly misunderstood. Or did the early Church put a demonic person in a leader position?

Monica - did you hear the sermon Andrew said? You are focused on your sin, when Jesus took them and destroyed them on the cross! Stop going back to the toilet to take a whiff over and over - look at the Man that took your sins (mine too) off of you and destroyed them while they were on Him. I'm so tired of hearing about sin when we have had them removed by His finished work ON the cross! Your problem is overwhelming that you don't believe your sins are gone. They are! That's the good news. Are you free to sin - yes you are, the question is do you want to? IF you love Jesus, there should be a time you WANT to please Him. So when you sin, the reality - the science - is you WANT to sin. The Bible even says if we say we have no sin (choose to sin) then we are lying. As long as we are inside this body we can't help but making wrong choices sometimes, we try not to, but we do fail. The devil wants to chain you to sins that have already been paid. Believing is step 1. Start believing Monica that you are forgiven. Step 2, start walking in that belief!
Starting at Pentecost, the message of Salvation was clear- Repent & be Baptized EVERYONE OF YOU in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the remission of our sins & you shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other Tongues............Throughout the New Testament the Apostles Baptized their converts and Paul who was later chosen HAD TO BE BAPTIZED & FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST B4 HE COULD BEGIN HIS MINISTRY! Do not be deceived! Obey the Word, Obey ACTS 2:38, it is God's Plan of Salvation!!
Acts is a transition book from jew to gentile. Cornelius and the gentiles received the Holy Spirit without water baptism. Also Jesus chooses Paul to go to the gentiles and preach the gospel of salvation. He has the words of the risen Christ. He received advanced revelations from God. The book of Romans is our doctrinal book on salvation. It teaches that man saved by grace through faith alone. God bless you. Hope this helps. 😇
