I was raised Baptist and my mind is conditioned to fear the loss of my salvation. I feel so free since I accepted the grace of God and I literally have lost my desire to sin. Not from fear of God wrath but from realizing the love Christ has for me. To love and grace of God, is meant to free us not confirm us. Thank you pastor 🙏❤️

The baptist tenant is once saved always saved,, I went to a baptist college, spent decades in a Baptist church, every church seemingly drags in some level of works, it’s rare to find any church that does not. I wrote several papers on justification,, you just had a preacher who succumbed to the notion that your behavior is what saves you..I assume you know better now but it’s the individual not the hermeneutics.

There is a verse straight after that verse you quoted brother a verse that has been omitted now that was not in the original Greek.
"Who do not walk after the flesh but after the Spirit "
Why has this been taken out? Well not only is it not supposed to be there but it makes the previous scripture, conditional!
So in effect there is or could be condemnation in Christ Jesus.

@@Butterfly07949The scripture is merely stating that those who are in Christ Jesus do not walk after the flesh but after the spirit. It’s a statement not a command.

My testimony in one of the most condensed ways: I went to a Nazarene church which taught me to walk on egg shells with God. I felt like I would reject Him and then forfeit my salvation somehow. God showed me in SO many ways that this is a lie. One of those times I was at an Irish pub in the middle of the city of Boston discussing this topic with one of the nazarene pastor's wives. She peered at me confused across the table, "what do you mean you're confused, do you want to go to hell?" She said. But God comforted me in the middle of my panic attack as the music blared over top of the enemies' tricks as the Christian song sang, "nothing ever could separate us , nothing ever could separate us, nothing ever could separate us !.." I was in disbelief at God's provision.
There have been many other times He has shown me that once saved you are always going to be saved. Let this resonate and marinate and just soak into this truth . Love you guys 💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you Andre for speaking the truth. You helped me to understand what Jesus did for us. I can't imagine how much God loves us. I look back on my life and I see how he was there. He loved me when l hated myself. I was in a narcissistic family. So hard to escape. Someone l really respect, Told me to read the psalms, one verse at a time. Changed my life forever. Everything was a mess in my life. I have been through so much pain. But l sit here now safe and blessed. He kept his promise to me.He delivered me.And l found your sermon. Truly a blessing. Thank you 😊

God is merciful to the oppresed. Those who commit suicide are oppressed by unending pain in body or mind. God knows what causes such deep depression, adictions, pain that cannot be tolerated in their bodies or minds. They may even pray, believe, trust, perhaps pray for death & it does not come & they want out of this life & may not know anyone to turn to & feel God does not hear them. Never judge another why they leave on their own as you do not walk their path.

I find interesting and perhaps somewhat sad that brothers that have been such a help on matters such as these that Andrew highlights in this video, that when it comes to things we really struggle with, these[great] principals seem to go out the window. The example I have in my mind is that Andrew is promoting the idea[rightly] that God can be made out to be a a hypocrite when He "seems" to be asking US to do more than HE is willing to do and be. He[God] wants US to be merciful..but He wont. He wants US to be kind..but He wants the right to kill,, He wants US to be fair, but He isn't etc..etc... I really love that Andrew has grasped the reality of a God who is not a hypocrite...so good! But I find that when teachers[I wont name him or anyone else here] who teach this aspect of freedom they have come to realize as true, they neglect areas such as healing and money and material things. Take for instance the example of 1 John. In 1 John 3:17 it says this: "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?". John goes on to say basically to HELP THEM. Yes......MATERIALLY. But[grace] teachers are scared to claim God as being THE SAME WAY as this. They would rather God be able to just give "spiritual" things one day rather than ANYTHING material. He[God] just has to ask US for that stuff. hahahahahaha...ridiculous. God is NOT a hypocrite. If He is asking US His kids[who are like HIM] to be generous...why can't we expect that He Himself is and will be the same exact way? Can He not see your need? Can He not help? Is someone holding Him back? No, His own heart moves Him to help those in need over and over again. But He reserves the right to give the way He wants to..when He wants to and with what He wants to. He is our Father..He cares. Hope this helps others to discuss and think through themselves. God bless you and also brother Andrew. Thank you Andrew hope you don't mind me adding this in for the benefit of all.

The sad thing is hearing about the Christian who gets so depressed and commits suicide.
That is bad enough but there also Christians all over the world thinking about the same thing, ether actually going ahead and believing that they would be better off dead or just simply contemplating it but not doing it.
As Andrew says that before he realised what the new covenant was truly about he thought that he was going to lose his mind.
Do you know that there are so many people in mental asylums with guilt and condemnation feelings of hopelessness, there are even born again Christians in these places with the struggling with the same thing.
    This can not be church!
Leaders please preach the truth of the new covenant and stop condemning them, get scripture in context!!!
The number one sin a person believes that they can't be forgiven for (can you guess what it is)it is the unpardonable sin or the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
This is the number one sin the church struggles with when in fact this sin situation will never happen again (Dr Charles Stanley) there is no sin that can never be pardoned for. There is no scripture in the new testament where God hasn't left any sin out in the atoning sacrifice of Christ Jesus and we are of course talking about this side of the cross!
It can't happen again because the law was still in force and the people in the gospels were not saved.
Jesus couldn't be referring to Christian's because there weren't any!

I thought you could only divorce for sexual infidelity or violent abuse? Where in the Bible can you leave otherwise??? Also it is a slippery slope in terms of sexual satisfaction. Some might have different interpretations of having their needs met.

    • @anthonygoin4194
      @anthonygoin4194 5 лет назад +3

We are no longer under the "law". So why would adultery or divorce count against us if ALL other sins don't? This is Andrew's point here. Jesus was talking about divorce to Pharisees in Matthew 5. Jesus was making a point here, that divorce is not approved of by God under ANY circumstances other than infidelity. God not approving of divorce doesn't mean if we commit it then we will lose our place with Jesus. If that were the case what about lying, stealing, verbal sins, lust? It's all sin. God does not approve of any of it, one sin isn't greater than the other, although ALL sin has consequences. The destructive path of divorce is sometimes terrible and destroys children's lives or results in death from vengeance as a result. Jesus is telling us what Holy living is, how to model God by modeling Him (Jesus). If one sin takes away your salvation then they all must. It's Biblical Logic ;)
