This sermon was a literal answer to prayer! Thank-you Jesus that you have set us free from the law, the weight of trying to measure up, the condemnation that comes by the law. And now we are free to bear fruit for life. You're going to ground us in grace and strengthen our roots so that we can love our brother in where he is without any threat to our freedom. Thank-you, Jesus!!! You accepted us perfectly so we can accept others as you've accepted us.

@@peteholms9298 , this was done to appease the new Jewish believers who had come out of the law and were also pressured by those Jews who were under the law (who desired for others to also be under the law for their own selfish, fleshly desires so they could seek approval for themselves). So, this was a decision made at the Jerusalem council to help in keeping the peace between Jewish believers and the expectations being put on Gentiles when they knew the law does not save and no one can live perfectly under the law and It was a burden in trying to do so. They knew the gospel was liberty in Christ, the gospel of grace.

There is a way how to recognize a false teaching/false Jesus. The false Christ:
      • will allow every “Christian” into heaven
      • came to bring peace, not division
      • does not require holiness
      • does not require obedience to the Law
      • only preaches on love and grace
      • wants you to do your will
      • will never send any “Christian” to that pit of fire and brimstone
      • gives you the Commandments as a suggestion
If this is the “Christ” you hear about/follow, I thought you might want to know...his name is Satan.
If anybody teaches people that they don't have to be holy, if anybody tells them that we cannot keep the Law as the prophets and the apostles did, if anybody tells them that they have “a ticket to heaven” and that they cannot lose their salvation, that person is a liar and a child of the Evil one! Do not believe such a person!
We are to be holy! We are to be perfected just as Christ is perfect. We are to keep the Law to the last jot and to the last tittle...and work our salvation out with trembling.

every human being. Christ said about loving thy neighbour, and then went on to tell the story of the Good Samaritan. So regardless of who we deal with, we have to love them....easier said than done though! :) I dont 'like' lots of people but do my best to treat them as well as I can.

    1Co 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
1Co 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

Act 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. (Pharisees were teaching you must get circumcised or you cannot be saved! This is against the law. Circumcision is a commandment, but it's not the entry way into the faith)
Act 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
(The yoke in reference is about verse 1. Jewish customs requiring circumcision as an entry way into covenant. Not god's law)
Gal 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: (The whole context is pharisees teaching you must get circumcised to be saved)
Gal 2:12 This is what happened: When Peter first came to Antioch, he ate and associated with the non-Jewish people. But when some Jewish men came from James, Peter separated himself from the non-Jews. He stopped eating with them, because he was afraid of the Jews who believe that all non-Jewish people must be circumcised. (Peter was rebuked by Paul for outcasting uncircumcised! This is against the law, as yes it's a commandment, but the law doesn't allow you to treat uncircumcised differently. Peter was involved in jewish customs)
Gal 1:13 You have heard about my past life in the Jewish religion. I persecuted the church of God very much. I tried to destroy his people.Gal 1:14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
(Paul again sheds light on the issue at hand. jewish customs)
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
(Paul is again battling "works of the law", the doctrine the Pharisees are imposing on new converts. He then quotes Deu 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee )
Gal 6:13 They are circumcised, but they don't obey the law themselves. They want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about what they did to you.
(paul rebuking the pharisees for not keeping the law and partaking in their own jewish customs)
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. Mat 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
(jesus rebuking the pharisees for being hypocrites and not keeping god's law)
Mar 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. Mar 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
(jesus rebuking pharisees again for not keeping the law and partaking in their own man made traditions)
Gen 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
(faith has always been the entryway into covenant)
Hab 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
(faith again being the entryway into covenant)
1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
(we are going through a sanctification process. Faith first, then walking out with obedience)
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
(pharisees were not keeping the law, partaking in their own jewish talmudic customs)
1Co 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
(yes circumcision is a commandment, but paul is battling pharisees teaching you must get circumcised to be saved)
Act 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. (peter doing jewish customs, not god's law)
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
(paul telling us that the carnal mind cannot subject itself to the law of god)
    Act 21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law: 21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs. 22 What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come. 23 Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law. 25 As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication. 26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
(Word was around that paul taught against the law. They concluded the accusations were false and to prove that, Paul then goes does a nazerite vow. They also gave gentils 4 commandments from the law as starting point when coming into the faith)
So we see Paul is not against the law. He's against the "works of the law" doctrine the Pharisees are teaching in regards to salvation. In the old testament, Faith was always the entryway into covenant. There isn't a requirement that you must get circumcised in order to be saved. Paul is dealing with bad teachings. Think about it, Is it really a yoke of bondage to not murder, honor your parents, or not steal? Context is always needed to fully understand the passages we read.

It just makes sense. At this very time that WE are waiting for our Messiah, they too are awaiting THEIR messiah! The only difference is that their messiah will be the antichrist.

Teresa Brickey, Jn 9 “3Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him. 4While it is daytime, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. *Night is coming* , *when no one can work* . 5While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
Jn 4 “31Meanwhile, the disciples urged Him, “Rabbi, eat something.” 32But He told them, “I have *food to eat that you know nothing about* .” 33So the disciples asked one another, “Could someone have brought Him food?”
34Jesus explained, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work. 35Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are riped for harvest.
36Already *the reaper draws his wages* and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. 37For in this case the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. 38I sent you to reap what you have not worked for; others have done the hard work, and *now you have taken up their labor* .”
Mt 24 “15So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination of desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand), 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17Let no one on the housetop come down to retrieve anything from his house. 18And let no one in the field return for his cloak. [foolish virgins went back in to Jerusalem... they went back to work... but you can’t buy nor sell without the mark of the beast after midnight... why? Because the daily sacrifice is abolished, hence it’s sabbath, time to rest as the virgins were in fact doing... but they foolish didn’t do ‘the work’ during preparation day.]
19How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers! 20Pray that your flight will not occur in the *winter* or on the *Sabbath* . [‘night’ is coming when no one can do the work...]
The foolish received the mark of the beast... that is why jesus didn’t recognize them, because his sheep don’t worship Satan, the beast or even put their hand to vote in the ‘system’ for say the lesser of two evils... therefore not his sheep... they sold their birthright, like Esau for a meal.

@@valharnik imagine what the time after the 70 7’s is and the time (times and half a time) just before it.... and compare it to the time before the flood... eating a drinking =buying and selling =doing “the work”. If you know about the day of atonement, that it is also called the sabbath of sabbaths, and that it was a time of total rest (from work), but even more specifically it was a ‘fast’ from eating and drinking... “I have food you know nothing about”... ‘my food is to do the will of Him who sent Me...’ like the days of Noah eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage =virgins needed to prepare for the marriage/supper. The day before any sabbath, sabbatical (then leaving the land fallow), even when getting into the jubilee... where there are two years without sowing or reaping in a row...
Lev 25:10So you are to consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty in the land for all its inhabitants. It shall be your Jubilee, when each of you is to return to his property and to his clan. 11The fiftieth year will be a Jubilee for you; you are not to sow the land or reap its aftergrowth or harvest the untended vines. 12For it is a Jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You may eat only the crops taken directly from the field.
Is 37:30 And this will be a sign to you, O Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from the same. But in the third year you will sow and reap; you will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
Ask yourself what is the repercussions of breaking that law? And assuming if it stems from a preexistent spiritual law, like one that Noah was actually able to keep, but the rest of humanity were not? (They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage =doing the work =sowing and reaping =the “food”...
Baalam’s error was to teach balak how to cause the Israelites to sin, in order to lose their blessing/protection from God... they were tempted... Esau’s ‘hunger’ was enough for him to give up his birthright... (oblivious to what it would mean)... ‘Jezabel’ causes her followers to ‘eat’ food sacrificed to idols (and commit adultery)... Can we guess what the foolish virgins are doing spiritually, by going back into the place they were told not to go back into? Can’t eat without the mark... =can’t work at night... anyone who ‘walks’ at night stumbles... for they have no light (=oil)... go to those who ‘sell’ and ‘buy’... (they are oblivious that they are assuming the role of Esau.) He’s speaking through metaphors... yet most/many believers think that it is twisting God’s word to not take it literally... He gave the literal to teach the spiritual... Jn 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit and life. 🙏
