as a redeemped child of God, it is normal that we have awareness of our sin by the work of the holy spirit through the word of God (either the bible or sermon like this...), and this awareness has come to a deep conviction on our sins. which brings remoseful feeling, weeping, and even grieving. But tears are not good if we stopped here. We have a choice to choose not to control by this emotion and choose to rejoice in the Lord. The sense of conviction or remorse must not be greater than the sense or the knowledge of that God is doing a great work in our life to be more like Christ.

No one knows God or has seen Him at anytime until they know and see The God inside, in, and thru Jesus Christ. As Jesus says "No one comes to the Father, but thru Me." You will NEVER see God apart from Jesus Christ. Ever. It's not heavenly possible. When God Spoke, His Word came out of Himself. His Word became flesh (Jesus Christ), and His Word died and was raised from the Dead. Now His Word is back in God as God as He was in the Begininng so shall He be in the End....God. For God's Word is God just as your word is you. Jesus Christ is as much God as your reply to this message is you. You can keep your reply. I will keep the Word of God.
Jesus Christ is the Word, but He is a person distinct from God the Father, and Jesus in His ascension did not go back into the Father in some mystical sense but is in the presence of the Father, at His right hand as it were, according to the Scriptures. "At His right hand" is difficult for us to comprehend because the Father is Spirit but Christ is eternally made flesh. Jesus did not go back into His Father but rather in posture "stands" as mediator between God the Father and His people, interceding for the saints as He, our High Priest forever, offers His blood as the propitiation for our sins, "behind the heavenly curtain." Hebrews 7-10
I disagree respectfully, I believe it is the Lords joy that He gave to those people that they could feel confident to let go of the sin and walk forward in rejoicing. I believe that it’s the Spirit that gave them understanding. It’s the faith in Him and His power that gave them the confidence to let go and rejoice. Every good thing comes from Him and what we have to offer is but filthy rags. It is because of who He is and His wholeness and pureness that we can trust in that and substitute it in our hearts and walk forward in confidence and rejoicing. It is like accepting Christ gift of salvation, we trust it because we know that He was pure and we know that He has satisfied it and we can walk in that assurance. So I believe it is the Lord‘s joy that is our strength and we can trust it because we know it’s holy and we know it’s right and He says that He wants us to have that.
Don't see the distinction from what you said and what Piper said. My conclusion is that you listened with your own perceptions and you either listened in part or kept jumping certain parts of the sermon.
@@changeamerica1168 Hello fellow believer. I exhort you in love that you spend time in the Scriptures and in prayer focusing upon the love of Christ demonstrated for you in the cross. Meditate and dwell upon your salvation. Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. Ask God to give you understanding and comprehension of His great sacrifice and love for you in that He has given you salvation and adopted you. Revel and rejoice in what He has done for you. He has poured His blood out for your sake, He prays for you, and He rejoices and delights in you! I pray that you find the joy in God you desire. God bless you and keep you!
"The Joy of the Lord Is Your Stronghold" Amen, amen and AMEN Kind Sir! However; and sadly, many do not know the Lord (which IS Jesus) will punish us too; with fury for each sin 7 fold; that we commit from birth until death... Leviticus 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise ("punish", in English today) you seven times for your sins. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Now, I have heard preachers and a myriad of people say, "Jesus does not punish us. He forgives us! because He is loving God!". Meaning that once Jesus came on the seen; he felt God was a liar; and so He won't punish any one. Yeah right!. For Jesus (is God Almighty!) that is the fairest God the world will ever know. So, like a good Christian parent, punishes their children AND then forgives them for each sin: so does Jesus do the same thing. BUT... Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: (notice the word "shall". That is future tense. NOT present tense!) However, Jesus ALSO blesses us for EVERY good deed UNTOLD during our lives. Thus Jesus is the most perfect Judge there will ever be. And the wise: Ask Jesus, in sincere prayer, to remove satan's... Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (which should have not been translated this way. Rather): Matthew 6:13 And remove satan's temptation from us, and deliver us from satan's evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen... Because: Many Christians believe; that the original script means: Jesus tempts us to sin and become evil. Which is NOT true. Thus the translators made a major translational error. As they did all over every bible. Sad but oh so true. May Jesus have mercy on them. End of Story and I rest me case... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Perfection is a weird thing. It has no needs, but that is a drawback. God HAD to create the universe and HAD to create us. He is eternally perfect, but perfection would be defective if it had nothing to love. He was compelled to create, because he is the Creator. He has no choice, by definition.
No. Had to and need are only semantically distinct. They mean the same thing. "Had to" means must, obligation, or need. If He has no choice in the matter, then HE IS NOT GOD. There is something higher than Him, outside Him, that governs Him, to which He must submit. No. This is not true. God did not need to create anyone or anything.

The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north.
In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin"
The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind"
The sun is "The light of the World"
The sun "walks on water" is just the reflection of the sun on water/the sea.
"He cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him", is just sun rays.
Jesus' "crown of thorns" is just the sun's glare, also know as a halo.
The sun's "followers", "helpers" or "disciples" are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass.
The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the "Most High": thus.."he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12.
The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30 degrees, hense, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30.
The sun is hung on a cross or "crucified", which represents its passing through the equinoxes.
The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected.
The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe.
In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun through the heavens..,
Simply amazing

Amazing.
Jesus did not go back into His Father but rather in posture "stands" as mediator between God the Father and His people, interceding for the saints as He, our High Priest forever, offers His blood as the propitiation for our sins, "behind the heavenly curtain." Hebrews 7-10
strength refers to an attribute or quality of power and resilience, while a stronghold is a secure or fortified place.
Absolutely and TOTALLY THE LORDS JOY IS OUR STRENGTH, any other version is a corruption, an error and is Carnal humanism= antichrist👉💰💰💰🎩🌆〽️⚒️😢😢😱😱😱
Don't see the distinction from what you said and what Piper said. My conclusion is that you listened with your own perceptions and you either listened in part or kept jumping certain parts of the sermon.
Has Jesus become the supreme treasure of my life? I think so, but my level of joy is small - sometimes very small. What do I do?
Can any of my brothers and sisters help me?
😊
"The Joy of the Lord Is Your Stronghold"
Amen, amen and AMEN Kind Sir!
However; and sadly, many do not know the Lord (which IS Jesus) will punish us too; with fury for each sin 7 fold; that we commit from birth until death...
Leviticus 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise ("punish", in English today) you seven times for your sins. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Now, I have heard preachers and a myriad of people say, "Jesus does not punish us.
NOT present tense!)
However, Jesus ALSO blesses us for EVERY good deed UNTOLD during our lives.
Rather):
Matthew 6:13 And remove satan's temptation from us, and deliver us from satan's evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Joy is expressing the happiness of God in the face of the melancholy of sin.
