Anakin would’ve successfully usurped Palpatine within a few years, becoming the new Emperor. And would set out to “fix” the galaxy and all of its problems as he saw it. And probably would’ve started a war with the Hutts.
However, his empire would’ve been fractured and weak, since;
1 - winging it as a battalion commander of a bunch of Clones that knew nothing else for a few years, while still having anger management issues, does nothing to prepare one to rule an empire, let alone a new that use to be a Republic just a few years before, which did have a faction that was opposed to the shift, and the galaxy was already tired of war.
2 - the premise for turning the Republic into a galactic empire, was based on the Jedi having prolonged the Clone Wars as a way to weaken support for Palpatine, prior to their failed coup to remove him from power, and seize control of the Republic for themselves, with Anakin being the sole loyal Jedi to the Republic and it’s Chancellor. If Anakin were to over throw Palpatine so soon, (he was already openly talking about it by the end of Revenge of the Sith) he would’ve been vilified the same as the rest of the Jedi.
3 - he was brash, impulsive, arrogant, overconfident and knew next to nothing about politics. Vader wasn’t effective or feared not because of his intelligence, but simply because he was bold, powerful and had a fleet and legion to toss at his opponents to accomplish his mission without needing to use his lightsaber. And when they failed him, he simply despised of them and replaced them with near by lower ranked officers.
As a result, what have became a galactic empire, would split within years into the Anakin’s empire, an alternate empire of Palpatine loyalists, the CIS and the Republic or federation of free allegiances, the Hutts would be on a war path to gain new territories expanding Hutt space to fully include system like Tatooine rather than just occupy, and the Yuuzhan Vong (or whatever they will be called in canon) would’ve invaded ,.. and the galaxy would still the still would have needed to wait until Luke and Leia come of age to save the galaxy and save Anakin from himself. And the reason for the mess was because the Force doesn’t want a Darkside Chosen One to be at anything beyond half powered.
