I just bought this machine, and it is indeed terrific. Very easy to use, and I am extremely NOT computer literate. One thing I saw on, ahem, another channel, as they used to say, was that the pre-set tension of 4 on the top dial is not good for a lot of projects, and that to turn it down to 2. I did, with great results. Except for wanting a bigger work space than 4" x 4", or if you need a professional multi-needle machine, I'm not sure why anyone would spend more on another model or company! As of this minute, Amazon has these for $299!
Thanks for the excellent tutorial. U did what hardly anyone ever does. Zoom right into the treading process, even into the actual needle eye. Thanks buddy.
@@yairai.diazmenendez5536 I use the pictures that comes with the machine or I use a digitizer to digitize for me... I also used Hatch free embroidery software which comes with quite a few embroidered pictures, numbers, letters, monograms etc very very useful.
I just bought the PE535 a few days ago; wanting to have a lighter machine to take to sew with my group of embroiderers. I have a Luminaire 3 and it’s just too heavy for me to lug around. This machine isn’t near as nice as the Luminaire, but, it is about 3-4%of the cost of the larger machine! So, I’m foregoing the amenities of the larger machine to have one that does a nice job and that I can transport easily. The first thing I did when starting to use the machine was to make sure the tension was correct. I did have to adjust the upper tension a little bit. I also realized the thread I was using was not strong enough so I changed to Isacord and that worked just fine. I’ve done several stitch outs and it is working just fine. I am impressed with this machine.
FYI-you do not need to use a scissors to cut the thread at the bobbin. You may notice the little grooves on the bottom of the bobbin winder. You can take the spool off and catch it in the grove and the thread will cut.
3 questions : can you make and embroidery of several colors with this machine ? Can you use it on a sweater ? How do you convert your images into PES files ?
PES is the file type that the machine can read. I've actually paid people on fiverr.com to makea PES for me out of a graphic I provide. For $5, it's been much more professional that the automatically generated software designs.

This was so very helpful, so many tutorials don’t show how to load the thread and bobbins, so I really appreciate this video!

What thread were you using before? 🤔
This video is very helpful to me and so are the comments
The little "spool" for the bottom thread is indeed a "bobbin".
I didn’t think a sewing machine would make me this stressed out 😂 lol I feel you brother
It works very good on towels

Can this be used with repositional hoops?
Captured photo stored on USB can be read and embroidered by pe535?
Does this also work on a cap/hat?
Can you use this same machine on the side of a baseball cap ?
You can do towels with this machine.
Do you recall the tension you had it on? Great video! -NewSubbie
What is pes and how can I get it for uploading my own designs?

PES is the Brother and BabyLock files format. These machines will read the PES files.
