Miyazaki heard people calling ER the easiest SoulsBorne. We shall now pay that price
Finally!!
Let's elden this ring up
Prepare ur aass :D
Because it is 😂
elden ring was never the easiest souls game because the bosses are easy, it's because you can use summons and op weapons
Can't wait to see what height of input reading and delayed attacks await me. One boss will have an attack delayed a full minute before instantly one shotting you.
just roll 😂💀
he's gonna mail you the attack in 2 to 4 business days

Oh and the massive aoe stomp fest
@@skoop4477 thats just bad game design
Ive been playing Fromsoft since Evergrace on the ps2. You plebs can get in line behind me.
The hardest bosses in all the souls games were always in the dlc. Manus, Blue smelter demon/Fume, Midir/Friede/Gael, Orphan/Laurence were all in the dlc
For me...
Blue Smelter felt cheap no matter what. But solo him. It's easier that way.
Fume is a glorious boss.
Mudir is Mid Tier. Claymore stun locked him.
Friede just got Chaos Fire Ball in the face... Low Tier.
Gael was also mid but above average. Claymore also stun locked him easily.
I never played Bloodborne.
@@absolstoryoffiction6615lol
Oh no anything but the blue smelter 😢
Freaking fume in that tiny arena, only boss i had to go naked to beat hehehe, at least the bonfire was close enough.
I will say my most hardest boss in the souls games for me was capra demon in DS1. But that is where I learned get gud. Midir took me 1 hour to kill in that arena in DS3. But I'm really bad at pvp lol.
* input reading intensifies * i also wouldn't take a game critics advice on difficulty.
That one cup head dude ruined all reputation of any respectable game journalist
Nah most of them ruined their reputation on their own😂
I'm loving the dlc and just beat messmer. The critics are absolutely right. The bosses need to be toned down alot. It becomes difficult to enjoy the insanely well designed boss fights due to the stress of being one or two shot by everything making it feel like a chore.
@@xkan395these new bosses rarely have any openings for attacks and when they do you're out of stamina cause you were avoiding their nonstop attacks which will put you down with just 3 or 4 hits even if you have 60 vigor
I cannot imagine what New Game plus 7 would be like
The rest of the dlc besides the bosses is amazing, loving the new weapons, new areas, armor sets, ashes of war, etc
I feel like malenia definitely still reigns in as one of the hardest elden ring bosses, regardless of what this dlc holds
Why?
You aware of the other souls games? Only reason why bloodborne and ds3 are even considered hard is because of their dlc. Base game for both of those games were 10 million times easier than their dlc, and the hardest bosses in those games were from the dlc. Guarantee elden ring will be the same.
She's literally not hard she just has one insta-lose move and once you learn to deal with that she's easy. Not to mention the game gives you like a million tools to make the bosses infinitely easier 😅
@@AbeHopwood ds3 was considered hard way before dlc. Twin princes, nameless king, and Dragonslayer armour (arguable) can all go toe to toe with dlc bosses
@Zer0hrss I always found it weird that people had trouble on any of those bosses. I beat dragon armour first try, twin prince's third try, and nameless King I beat in 7 tries, two tries if we're talking just the nameless king phase. The game was easy. Same thing with bloodborne. People finding them difficult but i just breezed through them
Yeah, that first flying skeleton bird like thing perched up on the Archway right in front where you enter smack me around at least five times lol.

Yes that’s why I’m starting a new play-through so I pick up the skills I ultimately lost from not playing in the last couple months
I didn't have a hard time at all with the base game. Except for a maybe secret boss, I had found pretty early on.
That was my first time playing a Souls game, and I was kind of underwhelmed as far as difficulty goes.
So, I hope this DLC is harder. I want to spend half an hour or 10 on a boss.
Have you tried over souls games? Bloodborne is the hardest soulsgame without any omega bullshit *cough* ds2 *cough*. (Sekiro isn't a souls game)
@@iplaygames.3899
No, I was never really interested in them until Elden Ring. They never looked like my type of game.
The map and exploration of ED are what drew me into it.
@@DayLight_Era I mean dark souls 1 has tons of hidden, optional areas to explore through each playthrough and almost every playthrough up until like the tenth is different, or is it the open world aspect?
I’m definitely going to have to replay the base game before I play the dlc.
As long as no other boss has some Waterfowl BS, I think we're gonna be chilling
I am... Mimic and me lv401 (60 vig is not cutting it but hay, it's fun) and my health regen build (not heal per kill or backstab/parry + repouse) will survive anything... If it's not gravity, deep waters, and one shots.
60 vig feels like below average or worst in the DLC without the unique items to increase defense and attack. Find those items first, within the zones before taking on main bosses.
@@absolstoryoffiction6615 if you use mimic ofc you ll be fine lol, that’s easy mode turned on
@@Java_94
Nah... Summoning 3 Players is easy mode turned on.
Mimic is only as useful as your build is. Not every combo works.
@@absolstoryoffiction6615 both are easy mode tbf
They don’t have waterfowl or something like that, but most are harder than malenia. It’s been 13 days already and you probably know this already, but still wanted to comment
The enemy with the circle blades was sooooo cool, the moveset it has just left me jaw dropped like what the heck this is just an average enemy and it is epic (also made me want its weapons cause I just want to play like them). am about a bit under an hour in and have to sleep before work but oh damnnn are we eating good with this DLC
This just makes me more excited for the dlc bro. I'm so ready.
Just playing it, new hard move sets and the crazy high damage everything does has made it very hard
Yeah, for me, 2 out of the 4 remembrance bosses i have faced in the DLC I have had to switch builds to beat. One I was using to use the godskin stitcher, the other had to use mohgwyn Spear with a white mask varre headgear and Lord of blood exultation with flame shrouded tear
I have no idea who the first one is but i do know the second because i know the cheese strat, but is the first one bayle?
@@Joker-lg3do naw it was Romina to me she is the hardest boss so far and I would rather level 1 beat radahn promised consort than fight her again
For what I've heard, the flc basically soft resets ur stats for the DLC. What I gotta do is find some items spread across the map that boost ur stats, that way allowing urself to make the game "Easier" the same way the base game made it so by allowing u to grind and explore at ur pace
People act like this hasn’t been fromsoft normal for dlc content. Sister friede, gail, medir, demon in pain, kalameet, artoris, mantus.
If you have defeated Radhan and Mohg, you are expected to be on your A game. That's why they are requirement boss to be able to play DLC, they are the hardest boss
I kinda wish there were less cheesy mechanics and weapons in the game. I started my first playthrough, being my first souls game, after having not played videogames for a year or 2, a few months back. I made a warrior and played melee only, just kinda assuming that's how it was meant to be played. I didn't, and still don't really know how any of the magic and summoning stuff worked, so I just moved on thinking this is the intended way. To say I had a rough time is an understatement. I'm generally decent at videogames and usually can pick up on stuff quick, but holy shit. This games fucking hard. I was most of the way though my playthrough when a friend showed me his playthrough. He was using a bunch of magic and cheesed his way through like half the bosses I struggled on. Idk, it just made me mad. The game points you towards playing it in, what I learned later, is like the toughest way to play it. Everyone kept telling me "its not that hard, idk why your struggling", and me saying it's melee only, them saying, "oh, yeah i never played that way. I just abuse summons and magic". And now, we're going to feel the wrath of people playing that way and saying how easy it is. Smh
I thought to start the DLC on easy mode using my mage karakter, I was wrong and got a hard time. magic is bad because of the time it costs to cast. Can’t cheese khameha though a boss any more. And bosses won’t give mage’s space and give less time to breath and move a lot more.
Big weapons stil work amazingly in my experience. Just breaking posture most of the time with big damage.
Tanky shield builds or shield and counter can properly fight or cheese the boss fights.
Katana is challenging but feels fair. But I can’t seem to beat messes with katanas.
I didn't know what I was getting into LOL Ur right!!
I’m getting cooked to a damn knight otw to the boss and with ng+3 I’m cooked
Underestimate anything by even the slightest amount, and you get shredded with 5 days of nightmare.
This DLC is so hard to a point its not even in Soulsborne category anymore. I'm surprised someone is expected to beat this, and the fact they did within a day.
I mean the weapons and spells are neat.
My OP build from the base game chewed through all the bosses I’ve faced so far just as easily as the base game..I don’t get what people are talkin bout. The standard enemies are what I’ve found more challenging
Im boutta be a kung fu master soon😂 and if i can pair that up with bloodhounds step itll me be so good
It took me 2 1/2 hours to beat Rellana and I was playing off a continuation of my NG+. This DLC is ridiculously difficult at times
Im at NG+2 and havent play for almost year. I think Im not ready 😅, lets try anyway
Nah it’s a walk in the park a stroll through the woods.
just started it, and yeah, this shit is hard as fuck, but im loving it
Well… I’m in trouble
Yes.. yes i am. probably too prepared on multiple characters. i got one set up in NG+ 3.. got 2 set up for under leveled.. and got one set up for recommended level.
I bullied a few bosses got waxed by
Messmer then the comeback took him out
And Maleketh took me for a dog walk
Bro starting popping off for no reason
I’m scared in 50 sec it finishes downloading
Took me two days to solo the golden hippopotamus on ng+20 at lvl 331
Imo the final boss of the dlc and Messmer are both harder than Malenia, and im impressed fromsoft managed to make them that hard
FromSoftware DLCs have ALWAYS had the toughest bosses of their respective games. Also, this DLC is accessible after defeating Mohg, a late-game boss. I don't know how some people were expecting for to start as a cakewalk.
People are complaining about this like they didn’t know what they signed up for
This is so accurate ngl
Shame. Elden Ring seems like a fantastic world to explore with deep lore. I'll never play it cuz I just don't do games with THAT much difficulty and challenges. I don't play games to push myself and be the best. Video games are for relaxing. Enjoying some free time. Not hating on anyone. Just kinda jelly
In my personal opinion it's not that hard (ending bosses are tho). If YOU are finding it to hard and aren't enjoying it DONT PLAY IT. If you are struggling go explore, find new weapons and change your tactics. You one trick jump attack strength build won't work all the time.
Summon don't be shy, it's there, is not cheating. Do it. If you don't want to then DONT PLAY.
Even if you want to like it don't play it. If ther is a big issue and alot of people start complaining about something and as a result of that they stop playing the devs will see that and try to fix it (usually. Fromsoft is good with this stuff)
I mean ye. There is still alot of tweeking to do. Mesmur gave me hell because I couldn't see shit and there were no openings to attack. I then decided that I can't be arsed to keep getting shit on by a lanky fire twink, so I sommend some friends.
I later found a realy good weapon (there is a vid about it on my channel) that I had and could have easily used against Mesmur.
I now use it alot and it's fun.
The timing on rellana and Mesmurs attacks need work. But not much tho.
Asmagold quit because he couldn't beat Mesmur. Fair. Although he whent in every time changing nothing. Nothing new. No spirits, no different weapon no new armour , ect...
He could have done so much more.
But he wasn't having fun. That is more than enough reason to not play a game.
That’s why you need a strength build🗿💪
This is what I wanted to hear
My biggest concern is that all my characters are new game+2 or above i just know im going to have the roughest of times
Just barley was able to beat rellana after 34 trys😅
FINALLY BRING IT ON!!!!
That how they always do it
Stuck on rellana rn
Dude same. Bout 50-60+ attempts and only made it to phase 2 like 4 times and I’ve only survived once. Easily hardest dlc for me

The only reason I haven’t rage quit the dlc is because I’m lvl 350 on ng+0
The only people that are surprised by the dlc being harder than the base game, are those who are new to the series.
Veterans, like myself, saw this coming a mile away. I would've been disappointed if it wasn't.
Time to rune level 1 it
The problem is that clearly he really wanted people to use spirit ashes, but spirit ashes have such a bad rep that no-one is using them, thus in turn making the dlc harder
2 days and I'll be running this. Can't wait. Hope the bosses are at LEAST as hard as Malenia. ER was waaaaay to easy of a game.
Wasn't difficult if you were heated properly and and found tree shards.

Why would you want a game that's already almost impossible to complete to be even harder?, you guys are a bunch of fucking masochists I swear
Idk if this is a selling point for me. I like some challenge to these games but I'm not paying 40 dollars just to see what Miyazaki came up with to specifically make the game as hard as possible
DLC has always been both the best and most difficult part of all souls games. And yes $40 is a lot, but you are getting around 40-50% more game
Dlc is always the most difficult parts of there games but it isnt a bad thing if anything i think its a good thing. Also the dlc for fromsoft games always end up having the best bosses and the best areas
That’s what these games are known for…
you're not taking other reasons into account,
$40 for spectacular environments in total, larger than the entire size of limgrave
8 new weapon types, spells, armors, and characters to expand upon the existing lore and to enhance combat
I'd wager that the amount of content offered by the DLC is offered at a generous price for its high quality
Haven’t played my level 160 character in 1.5 years…I’m going to get my butt kicked 😅
The minimum recommended level from Iron Pinapple (youtuber) is 150

From what I'm experiencing in NG I expect you will be 1 shot a lot with the boosted enemy damage

Honestly, I dont buy it. I know there's a new level system to balance it or something, but theres no way they can stand up to the OP builds players have at this point.
EDIT: I was right. It's not much harder than the base game.
I'ma see how well this ages after the DLC official drops 💀. From what I've been hearing, it's a different leveling system. So your "lvl 450, NG+8" gear isn't gonna cut it lol
@SedatedKidd2794 Lol. Unless they made every weapon, spell, and shield in the game unusable in the DLC, it's going to be easy for stacked characters. If the creatures were 10x stronger then the new weapons and spells would have to be 10x stronger aswell to balance it but then you could use that DLC gear to 1 tap anything in the base game so thats definitely not the case. The DLC can only stray so far from the balance of the base game even if it's using a different currency to level up.
@@GlyphAbiff lol I guess we'll see. None the less, I'm definitely looking forward to peoples reactions
