3 discrete heads. One could be being used as Erase head. Middle one could be record head. Last one should be playback head. So while recording, we can compare the quality of input source with the playback head, and if required can adjust the bias and equaliser settings, to match the desired recording quality. But, this mechanism is still incapable of play in auto-reverse mode (without reversing the cassette)
The first head is probally for the normal bias tape The second head is for Cr02 ( high bias ) tape and the third head is for the metal bias tape ( type IV) .
The core of this machine has been successfully produced. The recording is very good, and the two heads play well. I improved the tape and currently works well. It's just that I haven't perfected it, such as adding a shell, two channel potentiometers, and an LED level indicator.

In addition, because I am Chinese, I am now considering how to post the video in English. I think this is the hardest part for me.

4 discrete heads, the 1st one is a Ferrite for erasing.
This isn't a recorder; it's a tape delay. Ideally, utilize loop tape for optimal results. I also considered incorporating auto-reverse functionality.
if there's a monitor out, it's for monitor speakers
The Tape Delay Version 2
The first head is probally for the normal bias tape
The second head is for Cr02 ( high bias ) tape and the third head is for the metal bias tape ( type IV) .
They are all the same heads.
Im gonna say, playing cassette tapes
Erase , record , playback , echo
Maybe for tape delay?
It is designed for tape delay
Analoge echo
You are just trolling
