- A brief walkaround of the Skyleader 600. The Skyleader 600 is an all metal two-seat, low wing constructed aircraft with a trapezoidal wing available to order in the UK as a Factory built 600kg Microlight. It has a very spacious cabin with fully customisable plush leather interiors. The aircraft has a tricycle towed fixed landing gear with wheel pants and a steerable nose wheel as standard. An electric retractable undercarriage and full airframe parachute are optional extras. What is the typical cruise speed at 5000 rpm. What is the landing and takeoff distance to 50ft?
Skyleader 600 with retractable gear and variable pitch prop cruises around 120 KIAS at 5000rpm and landing and takeoff distance to 50ft is 200mts.
Will a NPPL license suffice to fly the 600kg planes? I’m undecided as to go for LAPL training or NPPL. I’m concerned the LAPL medical may be too strict as I had some surgery 5 years ago.
Yes an NPPL will allow you to fly the Skyleader 600 in the UK. You only need conversion training and a log book entry from an instructor.

Skyleader is great value
Clearly they know their market, it’s great for a trip to get he £100 hamburger but it won’t lift a reasonable load and move it halfway across Europe
250 kg useful load and 16l/hr fuel burn gives our aircraft nearly 7hrs endurance and reasonable capacity for most people. Its also nice to arrive in style for that £100 hamburger.

For a transeurope flight you'd choose a different aircraft.
