Halifax is a LOT more than just the peninsula, which is all that was covered in this rather myopic video. Heck, they didn't even mention the 2 best parks in the city: Point Pleasant, and the Public Gardens - one of the best Victorian gardens on the continent. Halifax is surrounded by a wonderful "green belt" that contains TONS of wonderul hiking trails, delightful old-growth wilderness tracts, beautiful lakes for great swimming, and delightful places like Peggy's Cove. Please make a video which doesn't just focus on the downtown area. Thanks!!
So many facts wrong in this video. Obviously, someone just made things up instead of doing research properly, on top of what seem to be translation errors.
Halifax is not the oldest British settlement in Canada. Annapolis Royal under British rule dates to 1710. Canso predates Halifax as does St. John's, NL, etc. NovaScotian Crystal for several centuries! I think the narrative meant to say for several decades.
One ship was carrying relief supplies for hospitals, etc. The other ship was carrying munition supplies ("A fire aboard the French ship ignited her cargo of wet and dry 2300 tons of picric acid, 200 tons of TNT, and 10 tons of gun-cotton.")
Ween (Halifax) home of the Little Joanie's in Pro League Soccer. While Wen (Sydney Nova Scotia said when) has the Wen Northern a destroyer 2 racist gator nation in Ultimate Supreme Football League (NFL), the Wen Pueblos in PLH (NHL), the Wen Zills in PLB (NBA), and the Wen Zen in MLBaseball.
Yeah, it's a joke. "State Capitol". Clock Tower featuring the wrong clock... but beyond the poorly researched inaccuracies, the videography is rank amateur.
Interested in going there and am going what the inaccuracies are? Also what you recommended visiting there/what is there to visit in August? Shops? Markets? Cafes? Parks?
+Victoria Hornagold discovery centre, spring garden or maybe the big sis dartmouth, there raising the bridge at the momment so you could take the ferry, or go to the commons... its a tourist wonderland

I never knew that Nova Scotia was a "State". I've always thought it was a Province. I guess I'm learning new things today.
lol
This video has to be 15 to 20 years old. Many changes in halifax since then.
When this video has been recorded? It seems in 80's...
....looking into moving there ....excited!

Here at Cape Town, South Africa, there's also a noon canon fire. But, not Sundays and public holidays.

That's quite something, about those two ships colliding, causing that great explosion. Makes me wonder what they were carrying.
Maybe explosives.

As a resident of Halifax I'm asking you to take this video down. It is shockingly inaccurate and incomplete. It is tragically laughable.
