The sound is like things here...not everything is perfect. No one expects perfection out of you or anything else. Sometimes it is a struggle. But our connection to nature, the land, and the sea is so evident. Let's protect that wealth.
Here in Hawaii, great video! I have been to Nova Scotia twice, my favorite thing about Nova Scotia is your fish and chips (haddock), best in the world, yes your fish and chips!
I am living in Montreal. Recently visited Vancouver for the first time. It was wonderful. Now I'm thinking about what I would do, move to Vancouver, or now that I saw this video (lovely ;-) ), I'm thinking about what it would be like if I moved to Nova Scotia? Instead of facing the Pacific, I would be facing the Atlantic, what do you think? Can you come up with a comparison between life in Vancouver and life in Nova Scotia? Should be hard :)
I've never been to Nova Scotia, but I would love to get away from the bustle of the GTA for a bit. This looks like a great place to be for that reason. Where was that meditation session that they showed one snapshot of? Was that Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton?
So... I an going to go as an exchance student at Canada and I can chose between Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Which one would you suggest?
This is mis-titled. Should read, "A Day in the Life of the PEOPLE of Nova Scotia." Very little is shown of Nova Scotia and if you entitled this, "A Day in the Life of the People of England" or "Ireland" or anywhere else, who would know? Poorly edited. Disappointing content. Not a video I would share with European friends.
I'm kind of in the preparation stage of obtaining an open work permit to visit and work in Canada, I very much like Halifax, NS as a place to immigrate to. How hard would it be for a white, fluent in English speaking person from the UK (with work experience in HR and the military) to find and obtain work? The English and Irish notably have strong historical ties to NS, now would we still be treated as equals in terms of finding work and overall welcomed? Just looking for opinions guys.
Legendary Rebel yes u would prob get special treatment because u have an accent. This place is backwards here now. But it has been overrun with drugs since the librals got in federally. Be careful, there tough and crafty folks with nothing to lose. Meth bein the most recent destruction. Along with poison seafood
@@sterlingking2338 Hi Mr. King, Thank you for your input. Was also thinking of other places like Winsor, London (Ontario), Calgary and Victoria in terms of accommodation and job prospects. Any honest insight into these areas would be nice.
Legendary Rebel honestly I would be looking into Calgary. Halifax may be ok if u know where to go,and not too, as all city’s. It’s a libral cest pool here. Alberta may even separate, which if I had a choice I would go there, good ppl. Will keep there freedoms longer than any province. I lived in Calgary beautiful city.
Hi Pro-Anglo @Sterling King is just spewing nonsense about Halifax. If you do a bit of research you will find it quite the opposite from what he/she is saying. Halifax has seen rapid growth, lots of jobs, new investment. If you have a military background, you'll be at home in Halifax as it has Canada's largest military complex. At lot of national and foreign companies setting up shop because of the pool of well-educated talent. There are seven universities in the city. The number of young people there give it a great vibe. Tech development is big, particularly related to the Blue Economy. Furthermore, Nova Scotians are considered the friendliest people in Canada. As you likely know, Canada is a pretty open, friendly, and safe country. To say Nova Scotians are the friendliest people in the country then tell you a lot. Halifax is one of the safest cities in a safe country. There are also agencies in the city that will help you connect with potential employers. Halifax needs and wants young people to move there.
Hello, Im Claudio from Mexico, i really love this video they show us who diferent is canada, I wanna move ther next year to make the college, can you help me? :) THANKS!!!
I guess you were expecting some dubstep music intro with skyscrapers ang starbucks shots... And women walking with chihuahuas like Vancouver or Toronto?
Awww!! I love Canada, Ireland is much peaceful. No killings, small place you can drove to other counties which will only take less than 5 hours, its great here, there are friendly people here :-)
I live here :3 Nova Scotia, my homeland. But I'm living in Spain and does anyone know of lakeside childcare center? My parents own that and we live behind there :3 :o

I just moved back to Nova Scotia after 31 years in Manitoba. Can't wait to explore what I have been missing.
Love it! I haven't been home in a very long time and I miss it so much! If there were jobs I would be there.
Volume needs turning up 🤷♀️ Great Video as I feel like I’m actually there! TFS 👍👍😁😷

Best place in canada.
Great vid! It's a pity the sound is screwed up.
+Ray von Schmalz yea, the pianist in training playing "Hey Jude" would have made this video so much more better, if the sound was top notch...
I love Nova Scotia! Great video.
I feel like I know a bit of the heart and soul of the place now, thanks CBC :-)
You look so happy, i gonna try harder to go the next year.
I think I like Canada a lot better now. Nice Doc!

*am. Typos are horrible!
This is pretty neat and I am from Nova Scotia
My imagery of Nova Scotia watching Anne of Green Gables. Living around farmland and quaint villages....that was the 19th century it had to change...
Green Gables is in Prince Edward Island.
I like the Video and the Music, but it could be better at the end of the day !
Home sweet home
Wheres Pat Stay?
Nice 👍 Thanks 😊
I would love to live there
I want to move there
I love it. Its a good place.
You should, it's amazing!
I live there
I go there every year. I have a house up there
Bad idea. I don’t like it. The shopping is horrible too.
I can't believe there is crime and degeneracy even here. I'm lost.
CBC you must do again but in a sunny day. next year.

It's not Nova Scotia without the trailer park boys
Well, this will certainly serve as a tourist deterrent.

@@soniahema8979 ikr, I wonder how it went lol
The views are great to a certain point but 90% of the place is kinda depressing. Especially if you don't like sea side life.
not educational...certainly not even interesting.
Why Nova Scotia instead of New Scotland! Canada was colonized by the French much earlier than the British?
SUCKA FEE BOSS!!!!! DARKSIDE!
Lmaoooo so intimidating.
I live here lol.
this news channel is so boring , i can't even finish watching the video
2 ish minutes into this video and I'm uncomfortable........... Don't think I will waste 20 minutes of my time on this video.
Where are the Black people?
Who's here after the mass shooting?
I could find all that mess in the US. Nah, you can keep Nova Scotia. I'll stick to Rhode Island.
Are there no black or indigenous people in Nova Scotia? Or is the story of their lives not worth telling?
looks boring.
Berly
To be honest, we can be pretty boring. 😂😂 We're quite small so... 😂😂😂
Kaitlyn Kane that's ok, but its a beautiful province.
Berly then maybe u should go check it out
Patricia, I visited 2 years ago, it's gorgeous. I was surprised how empty it was. what bothered me was that they sell Lobsters everywhere.
