I miss living in Halifax, the people, diverse and have things to do despite being not a big city, I can't wait to come back one day and see my friends too. Thanks for showing us the beauty of the city
A great tour of the City, almost as if I was walking there myself. Served in the Navy and very nice to see the sights 40 years later. Thanks for sharing!
Great video. You covered all the highlights for anyone who hasn't been here before. A word about St Paul's church- when you went in the front door, if you'd looked up, you would have seen the debris. It's basically just a small piece of wood sticking out of the wall. The shattered window can be viewed from outside on Argyle street. Although, you will hear a lot of fanciful tales about the window, all they've done is sandwich the silhouette between two panes of glass to preserve it.
Beautiful & historic city. It seems so nice to live in that place. Thank you for this amazing video. And you both make funny spooky impressions 😊.. Looking forward to your next video!
Can’t wait to go back to Halifax, I lived there in the 90s, still feel part of the community with all the people I stay in touch with. Nothing like maritime hospitality, I’ll be flying out in August. Great restaurant on Dartmouth side is John‘s lunch out of this world, Peggy’s Cove of course, my daughter wants to go see Netflix show Locke and key house in Lunenburg, Of course we’re going to go to the Oak Island museum, and visit Martinique beach. Love from Ontario
Loved your video. I am a born and raised Haligonian. I am very impressed with how well you both detailed the city. Digby scallops are the best and we have some of the best beer and wine here. Thank you and hope you both can come back and see the Cabot trail and or Peggys Cove.

That's was good--of course Covid-19 has everything a little more subdued than normal but what can you do. I would say the biggest miss on your list is the Halifax Waterfront at night. At night the families move out and the partiers move in. Not rowdy though--just fun. Especially good if something like the TD Jazz fest is going on or if you're lucky enough to catch a Tall Ships in town. The Buskers event in late summer is also excellent. If you're travelling with a child you will definitely want to check out the Discovery Center. It is a children's science center on the waterfront near the Seaport Farmer's Market--if you don't have a kid try to borrow one so you can go! Cycling the rail trails is another great activity.

NS is laid back. The Halifax area is the only city, but you can drive there in 2-3 hours from anywhere in NS. Outside of Halifax you'll find endless coastal scenery, and, inland, endless forests and friendly folks. There are a lot of small/medium towns around the province, though. There are also a lot of rural communities of maybe 100 people. BTW Audrey reminds me of Danielle Haim. Look her up. lol
Thanks! Couldn't agree with you more. Love the slogan of Canada's Ocean Playground. You're never far from the ocean or lakes. I've never seen so many oceanfront and lakefront properties. What a great province to live.
You can drive anywhere in N.S. from Hali in 2-3 hrs? Not legally lol It’s just over 3 hrs to southern tip from Halifax and over 5 hrs to northern tip of Cape Breton. Just to clarify 😉 And interesting tidbit in the same vein is that no matter where you are in the province you are never more than 70km from the ocean.
@@tbz1551 I figured 3 hours or so to Cape Breton, but yes, it'd take a couple hours to cross CB. It's about 45 kms from me to the Bay of Fundy and 65 to the Atlantic.
