The Mirage IIIE is honestly one of the most painful experiences I have had

I don't own the 3E but knowing my extensive knowledge of physics, if you mount the bombs you are heavier and therefore faster since heavier things go faster. You can probably go pretty fast idk.

Found myself coming back to this during the 2000 grind. I would agree back when this was uploaded, but honestly now with the all-aspects having flares is 100% worth the disadvantages.

Totally agreed! I "worship" the IIIC for a lack of better words but the IIIE just doesn't cut it for air RB. the only positive aspect about it over the IIIC is that it has more purpose in ground RB at least, thanks to all the bells and whistle mentioned here but also because it gets a ballistic computer for all unguided ammunitions. Sure it doesn't carry as much as the Jaguar A but at least it does have better chance to survive there.

Bruh, I've been saying this shit since I got the III C. It's one of the worst stock grinds I've experienced (the Jaguar beat it tho bc that thing is pure suffering). So many people, RUclipsrs especially, don't focus on the stock grind, and only focus on upgraded performance, so I'm glad you put emphasis on it here. I've been hating flying the III C as it is because frankly without the Magics, that plane is worthless. But thanks for saving me the heart-ache and pain of grinding this plane (I unlocked it in a few days of release but haven't played much bc I hate it).

I used to love the IIIC, but after they nerfed its surface deflection I really hoped the IIIE would be better but it's worse :(

@@gliderfs621 I'm not top tier but I'm "Korea" tier and recently the F-86s were nerfed in the same was and basically reduces your maneuverability horribly and idk if they changed it back to normal cuz I haven't played the sabres since my horrible experience with the sabre since the change
@@whiskersthecatboi I played F86 on a friend’s account and it was truly horrible. My feeling was this bad maybe because i only played low tier planes, but I felt like it was still very sluggish, slow, heavy and has a very poor maneuverability.
That’s why I rather play props in low tier, where the game is much more fun in my opinion.

Test it with 8111 and you will find currently in the game, the difference of afterburner thrust when both are using stock modification is around 20kgf, does anyone think 20kgf is going to compensate for the extra weight on 3E?

After 2 days of suffering in this I said enough, I was having great time with the IIIC so I was excited that this one is gonna be even better, boy was I wrong, straight away I had a feeling that something is wrong with it, not turning like the C not accelerating one turn and 500kph was lost, sitting duck for any incoming missile....
We really should say stop to Gaijin. Keeping making French planes crap like this, this not a joke at this point, this is pure hate and frenchbashing…
this thing is really good for Ground a much needed change for it. Jaguar was the only over option for CAS which is eh for 10.7.
I actually kinda like it. The energy retention is ever so slightly better than the IIIC. Although I can't say that either of them are my go-to top tiers...

Yea, I mostly agree with you unfortunately. I was really excited when I heard this was coming, and the dev server version seemed promising, but the ingame version...….not so much. The 3e takes all the fun parts of the 3c and sacrifices them for flares/rwr/ccip. Its painful how little this plane can pull in comparison to it's predecessor. And the grind for this one hurts since its hard to get guns on when the best pull is like 9g, slow accel, not great roll ( though it can do odd maneuvers when rolling at around 700-900kph to make it flip-flop over in an odd way and bleed speed to get overshoots). The one actual good thing I can say about it is that I've had strangely good luck with flaring out aam with this thing - even the 9j's which notoriously like to ignore flares. My success rate seems better than on the bis and f4 for some reason. Might just be me or it might be that it fires the flares out perpendicular to the bottom plane rather than just dropping them with almost no momentum like the f4's or to both sides where the aam decides to split the difference for the 21bis.
That said, I would argue though that the mirage 3c was a pretty doable stock grind for top tier rather than the worst. Being able to dogfight so well made gun kills not too hard to get, you get fast access to the r530 yeety boi, so by mod tier 2 you already have 1 pretty usable missile and 2 9b's that can at least get people to start turning with you since they're expecting a magic. Less suffering than the mig21smt/mf and their r3s forever and hits-galore gsh 23mm shitfest stock grind at least.
Mirage IIIE is damn good now.

This plane is extremely enjoyable at its BR right now, it rarely gets uptiered with the new BR and you stomp america most matches
They are, I have a clip of myself in an F-4E, Mirage launched a Magic at me, relatively level with me, pretty close, and a fairly high angle off my tail, I make a hard turn into the missile and dump flares and the Magic ignored the flares and went straight for me. With their speed and maneuverability, Magics are hands down the best AAMs in the game currently.
Shhhht, stay quiet or Gaijin will nerf it ! They bust everything fun in their game and especially when they are french.

That is very hard to hear but at the same time i am happy about it. The French tree is very hard and even worse, boring to play with. I am trying to get the Mirrage, only reason to play WT now but if this is the case i will do it slowly, without pushing myself. And by that i mean very slow grinds from time to time.
I will stick to the F4E and US naval jets then.
I have the feeling that they will increse the RP of the Mirage IIIE a lot since it is only 8k. My idea was to play with this cheap plane and have some fun with it but i won't make it till they increase the Repairs to 20k and believe me, knowing Gaijin they will.

I love my mirage 3C, but the moment I hopped into the E model it just felt too sluggish the extra weight of the equipment is not balanced out with the tiny increase of engine power. I’ll be sticking with the C model for now.
So the MB157 is the better baguette and thus deserves a video😉😂
That's why I always fly in a way to create the right opportunity for the radar missiles. 1/3 of my kills are with it, but this plane requires the most situational awareness and route planning to perform well.

Well, too late for me. Stock grind without premium but I did it. However in the very first match I instantly noticed that it was much more sluggish than the C and it has some weird problem with rudder too.

Having skipped through the mirage C and straight to the E, it plays like the mig21 F at 10.7, the stock grind is easily the worst in the game

The fact is french tech is so much « claqué au sol » (destroyed on the ground -> fucked up) that I don’t want Gaijin to add another french plane in the tech tree. I don’t want to see my favorite plane ever, the Mirage F1, being destroyed by Gaijin.
No more planes, no more pain to see all these planes that makes dream so much French kids once…
I personally like my mirages, but i think the jaguar would be a better top tier if it was given its flares and chaff. jag is love especially with its magics.

Sooo, Jaguar for me then.
I don't think the mirage is a very good top-tier jet but I still enjoy it. It's seems its flight model is very sensitive to weight so the amount of fuel and your payload is very important. The more you stay alive, the lighter you get firing your missiles and emptying your fuel tank. I take 20mn fuel, the payload with the 2 magic and the radar guided 530 and I sideclimb from 6km to 8km, then I search for a target and quickly fire my very heavy 530. Then I work my way down by making sure nobody is above me and I try to get kills and save my teamates with magics. At this point I usually have 10mn of fuel and my plane is very light and I can dogfight very well. However I do not have any other 10.7 jet so I can't compare but I'm still having fun and maybe the 3E will even fit my play still even more I'll see.
I am getting to missile jets but with zero entusiasm with each passing day. Missiles just seem like impossible-to-dodge-free-kill-buttons. Is it really like that or is it just the videos?
The Magics kinda correspond to your description, but don't expect it to be the case for every missile
With some pulling and rolling you can dodge 9Js and especially R-60s very well, the magics are... magic, but mirages are usually not a big problem aircraft wise.
Now tho... dodging missiles when being tailed makes you bleed your energy which in turn gets you gunned down, so there's that effect too... getting a determined guy off your 6 is basically impossible unless he overshoots or you're in a very maneuverable plane like the F-5.
@@Wotplaya4 I'm well versed in defensive flying and overshoot maneuvers and I actually thought that missiles were primarily meant to force a speed bleed, having a very low chance to kill and being dodgeable if you pull the right maneuvers. But they just seem like complete I-win buttons. Not even flares seem to work. Ofc, that's only what I've seen in videos but I don't know...not sure I want to get out of early jets anymore hahahaha
@@Jaeger_89 The top tier missiles we have in game are defintely dodgeable. You however need quite a bit of speed to do so however, flares help immensly too, however the speed you bleed is just too costly in toptier. I've had 3 guys on my 6 a couple days ago, shooting R-60s at me, i dodged them but it made me so slow all i could do was force an overshoot, two of em did overshoot, but well, there was a third guy. And i'm sure they only overshot because they knew i wouldn't be able to pull up for them as i had another guy on my rear/ didn't have the energy anymore.
But the missiles sure are i win buttons on people who are slow and not paying much attention, the difference with early missiles is, they need to do more than just do a simple turn, as the missiles at toptier can turn better than you (but rolling and pulling was the best tactic anyways).
But the main gameplay at top tier is simply: don't get anyone on your six in the first place, just stay fast and hope the team doesn't vanish. But i definetly do recommend flying 8.3, like a sabre F is really nice. Good ol' gun fighting (until the random Yak-38 pops up and shoots an R-60 up your bum).
@@Jaeger_89 missiles are dodgeable, thing is you need to know how to maneuver, when to drop off the afterburner and how to use flares to do so and its different for each missile type - what gets R60 off of you wont work the same on AiM9J. However there are certain ranges and situations where the missile will hit you no matter what you do.
combat at top tier inst about "dodging missiles" its about positioning and tactics, if you let opponent into his ideal range and angle NOTHING will save you, but thats on you letting the enemy there.
Now to break a myth... Defyn can die by ramming! I saw it today with my own two eyes! :D
