I’d love to see a comparison of this vs. a $40 Hobbywing 1080 with a $20 27T Trailmaster Sport 550 (my current setup) $200 vs. $60. I just think it’s a lot of money given how smooth and powerful my current $60 setup is. If I considered the AXE it would be the 550 one so that’s $230. I’ve not seen any real comparisons. Folks say the AXE is smooth and has a lot of control and programmability, but as you know the Trailmaster and HW1080 is smooth too. I’m not putting it down by any means because I’ve not tried the AXE. It just seems expensive for a negligible gain if anything
yeah most don't need the AXE and I have several 1080's in different trucks, the difference is in durability, the brushless stuff can put more power down for longer without heat issues. I have 5 Axe systems now, I think I also have a 27t Trailmaster Sport 550 and I could maybe put them in the TRX6 and see. I also have the normal TRX4 I could use. What truck do you have your setup in?
Exocaged RC according to the manual the unassembled Kit version of the TRX4 came with a 39T Spur and 17T pinion. I didn’t check it for sure, but that is what the manual shows
Jon Thomas ok then it’s the same as the rtr version. Not sure if I can match that ratio as all mine have a 45t spur gear. I’ll see if I can get a video figured out with this.

On the latest firmware when LVC cut-off happens the vehicle will crawl slower but it wont stop moving it will resume normal running and do it again, It wont stop at all until the pack is depleted as in 3.0V per cell on INTERMEDIATE LVC. @@ExocagedRC For sure, We first noticed this in our crawling group on v1 ESCs after the new Firmware which enabled RPM/Throttle matching this is IIRC firmware 01-00.2.01 (Which was default Firmware for v1.1 ESCs) the older firmware versions for v1 ESCs are not available for v1.1 ESCs so there is no fixing this issue as of now on v1.1 ESCs. Great videos, channel, big thumbs up and subscribe for you :)
Hello if you could pls help me out with a pairing problem that be great, I try connecting through blue tooth but it asks me for a 6 digit password, Idk what password its asking me for, I haven't made any passwords or anything I just downloaded the app
You must have an Android I’ve seen that twice so far and supposedly there is a default password in the booklet. I’m sorry but I’ve never had to look for it on my stuff
@@ExocagedRC thankyou I was having lots of trouble, in fact I first tried it when you first uploaded the video but I had given up, with your help and also from a few other ppl I think I finally got it thx
I just got the gen 8 axe, this might be a silly question but how do you find your vehicle, or connect to your vehicle? I downloaded the hobbywing app but I’m lost from here. Lol
Top right corner there is a small icon you have to tap to connect to Bluetooth
Mine doesn’t stop right away in reverse or forward even at 200. It keeps rolling
It should slow and hold unless the gearing is way too fast
@@ExocagedRC thank you for your response. I haven’t messed with anything it’s stock, stock tires and rims and everything.
I think this rig needs attention to the t-case like shims it binds in reverse if you have it upside down turning tires in reverse I can feel it, sounds real nasty, if I apply a little side force to trans drive line while turning
It was cool to see it stall out in footage, I respect Harley but he hates on this system heaps.. I knew it had plenty of feel when set correctly. Everyone is entitled to there opinion, but it's a smooth well priced system. Would be awesome if HW made a 2700kv 540 or somewhere about that range..
Cheers mate 👍
yep and yep he does not like it, I don't think he has driven one himself, just saying his stuff from hearsay. When they first came out they were weak and sluggish but the firmware updates fixed that and I really like them now.
@@ExocagedRCI asked him in his last live stream, he said he had tried the latest firmware...Anyway, doesn't matter. He doesn't have to like it.
I think I've said it before but I bought mine coz you talked highly of it and seem to have the knowledge and experience to back it up. Cheers mate

Are you using an android?
If so what are the initial settings?
@@jrduenas3678 all original settings are marked with an asterisk in the app so you can keep a reference..
Cheers
Iphone, I show the settings of the esc in the video. If you're talking about phone settings I'm not sure what else I can show you.
