Only God knows how much I miss NOLA, Royal street, and the possibility of seeing Tuba Skinny play in this exact spot. Soon, I pray. Cheers from Texas.
Thanks for sharing
Now Monday feels a whole lot better!
Brilliant. How people walk by is beyond me.
Terrific. You and Charlie are the best when you have other musicians they're world class
Another great choice of tunes perfectly matched to Greg's bluesy voice....He never gives any less than a great performance when he gets into these old tunes.......This is ''Come on in '' by the Harum Scarums (circa 1930).....The group consisted of Mozelle Anderson....''Georgia'' Tom Dorsey....Big Bill Broonzy...The band does their usual fine interpretation...... There are some outstanding solos as well. They are the best.........................
Thank you so much for the in depth info
My pleasure...Thank you for the great videos....................................@@sweetmusicmedicine
Appreciate you and your input
Congratulations: this appears to be the first video on RUclips of Tuba Skinny playing this tune. 'Come On In (Ain't Nobody Here But Me)' is, as brendamello2202 has said, a song recorded by the Harum Scarums, including Big Bill Broonzy, in 1931. It's new to me but sounds like an archetypical 16-bar in the key of C minor. The chord sequence sounds identical to that of 'Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down'.
Thanks Pop’s. We always appreciate your in depth info
And you are so talented and right as always, that tune is played a lot in New Orleans
You made my Monday. Thanks folks.
Our pleasure!
