    Hopefully, you see this. But where exactly do you sew? On the actual rubberband? Below it? Do you thread it through the hair or wrap it around the actual section. I hope this makes sense lol. This video was so helpful and your hair turned out so beautiful!

      @TinaRenea  2 года назад +2

      Heyyyy!!! And OF COURSE I will see it 😂 thanks so much for watching and commenting on the video! I’m glad you were able to learn something. I was actually sewing beside the rubberband, taking the needle under my twisted hair. I was using my twisted hair as the cornrow 😂 I hope this makes sense

    I KNOW THIS VIDEO IS OLD, BUT HOW LONG WOULD A RUBBERBAND SEW IN LAST?
    I CAN BRAID OTHER PEOPLES HAIR, I JUST CANT BRAID MINE.
    SO GLAD I FOUND THIS VIDEO❤❤❤.

      Hey!! Thanks for watching! The style surprisingly lasts a lonnnnggg time!! With the stocking cap- it provides extra support and stability. I kept mine in for about a month but could have gone longer!! It was a great alternative and you will be VERY satisfied!! Please let me know how it turns out for you!

    I use to hate this when I was little my mom could not braid.. Now since I can't braid it works. I think I'll try this with the Crotchet Braids

    • @pnuttink
      @pnuttink 7 лет назад +2

      This is how I do my crochets, I like it because when the hair starts to grow out you can reach underneath and tighten the rubber bands closer to your scalp to make the crochet style last longer

    • @TinaRenea
      @TinaRenea  7 лет назад +2

      Jazz Leigh Yes the same way you would wash any hair. there is no difference. the water runs through the holes in the cap

    Thanks for the video. Did your hair break when you took down your sew in? I want to do this so bad but I'm afraid of breakage

    • @TinaRenea
      @TinaRenea  7 лет назад +4

      Hey Lady! No it did not break. I purchased the non break rubber bands and I did not leave it in there for a long time. 3weeks max

      Thank you. I am trying the style now. I tested it out by just doing the twist’s with rubber bands for two days and everything stayed in place. 😊

      Brittany Williams Thanks lady. It lasted a month but could have gone longer. I wouldnt recommend leaving rubber bands in that long due to potential matting. thanks for watching. please subscribe if you haven't done so already!! blessings

    • @TinaRenea
      @TinaRenea  3 года назад +2

      Hi Sandra! I left it in for 2 months! To be honest, I could have went longer. The rubberbands do not slip or move under the stocking cap. The style is very secure. Would definitely recommend it. Thanks for watching

      I only left it in for about 3 weeks but overall after doing the style a few months, it did assist with the growing process.

    • @TinaRenea

      Yes, I know but for video purposes I wanted to show another way for those that can't access a braider or do not know how to braid themselves :) thank you for your feedback and time watching. Blessings
