@Dave Micolichek Better to plump em thru the dam car haha... Most guys just leave the hood off or cut a hole in it and that is the right way to do it, but for a car that exclusively sees perfect race conditions who the hell cares?
Awesome!! Second video clip is at my dragway back in my home country, New Zealand. I used to be on the governing board and was crash crew at the start line.
I've always wondered what makes the cars lurch to the right when the engines are revved? is it the rotational mass of the pistons and flywheel pulling the engine and chassis in the direction of rotation?
The Promods (blown and nitrous), TF dragster and Top Alcohol funny car make 3000 or more. The TT vette.....maybe. The remainder......its your fish. You can say it's as big as you want. Cool video though. The flame throwing zoomies would be exciting to see in person
Q please from a non-gearhead: why does the RPM always seem to bounce when a large engine is idling? Seems like it's on the verge of stalling when the RPM's are at the low end of the curve. Thanks.
R Rocky Most people think that is normal but it isn't. It's called blower surge and it only happens when a supercharged engine isn't tuned properly. It's caused by two different things happening that effect each other, a lean/rich mixture can cause the engine to surge and make the idle RPM's to increase and that increase in RPM's also causes the supercharger to spin faster increasing boost. This increase in boost also causes the engine to want to rev up slightly. As soon as the ignition control module and fuel injection controller notice that idle speed is climbing out of control they will shut down the throttle and cause the idle speed to come back down to normal. This happens over and over and that is the blower surge you are hearing. If you have a chance look up some video of top fuel "nitro" funny car's or dragster's and listen to them run, you won't hear any surge coming from any of them! The sound that some people are saying is the camshaft causing surge has nothing to do with it. A camshaft with extremely high lift, duration and overlap (you'll have to look that up online because I could write a book about how cams work!) will make the exhaust "cackle" and make it sound like you can hear each cylinder firing separately in really fast repetition. You can look it up online too, just find a video where someone has built a naturally aspirated (no blower or turbo's) engine for racing and listen to it and you will understand the difference between how a camshaft and blower surge sound.
The one engine has a blower and the tend to run that way. There's nothing wrong with them it's just how they idle. They also have lower compression engines unlike a nitrous engine they have high compression I believe
The 2 dragsters have a LOT more than 6000 horse. I'd say about 2500 horse for the turbos, adding to that, another 5000 for the forced induction, and another 2500 for the blower.
ummn i dont think that five window was a 1934. more like 1930-31 if its a ford. 1934 had that slanted back look with the body and a pointy grill over the radiator and no sun visers were used after the model A. maybe a Chevy coupe? im no expert tho so i would love to know
The vette and the first car def arent ..that vette didnt have nearly enough tire to get even 2k to the ground so how did they get the 3k number..lol..and the first one albeit nasty anyone can throw spark plugs into zoomies and throw flames with a carbed car..hell you can do the same thing with a rich mixture on a stock exhaust car..been done since before I was born.
Did anyone else notice in the video that a vast majority of the engines were Hemis. The lone Chevrolet was 800+ ci .... I hope he can make 1500 hp with that amount of cubes. For all out power , you can't beat a hemi. 🤘🤘🤘
Not impressed , ships have much bigger engine and higher HP• Same with electric motors they make them up to 30000Hp. So what is the big deal. These are noisy and smoky engines would not last 8 hours under load.
Klasek Airsoft even steam powered engines were more powerful than that, those put on trains of course; it's not a problem to make 1 such engine. But try to make 2mln and each with price no more than $2000 ... this is the real deal.
"how much hp do you want?"
"yes"
All of it.
I like how these videos end with classical music!
It fits. Old cars, old music
That 34 coupe looks and sounds BAD ASS man!!
barry phillips oh ya
3:38 not the best layout: turbos behind the axle and on the ground 😂
@Dave Micolichek Better to plump em thru the dam car haha... Most guys just leave the hood off or cut a hole in it and that is the right way to do it, but for a car that exclusively sees perfect race conditions who the hell cares?
I want these sounds played at my funeral.
That first street rods cam profile must look like the Rockie mountains.
No it's super rich fueling making it surge...its very inefficient and puts a massive strain on the rotating assembly and the blower
I like the side pipes with the flames shooting up about eight feet really good carjacking defense.
Look at the car he’s racing like I wanna see that car instead
6:13
They didnt build an engine in a car, they builded a car around an engine
You're not just wrong, You're stupid.
@@Prince-mo9ko
I think it was funny
I remember seeing that first rod back in the day (late 90's) with dual blowers. It was taller than the rear wing.
I am looking to buy one of these
For $400,000? Sure
2:39
i just like that car rock!
Robert Nussberger that’s caused by the torque of the motoe
It get to a point where you have too much Horse!
Awesome!! Second video clip is at my dragway back in my home country, New Zealand. I used to be on the governing board and was crash crew at the start line.
Glad to hear their are drag strips down under..
some real sweet engines love that sound
I've always wondered what makes the cars lurch to the right when the engines are revved? is it the rotational mass of the pistons and flywheel pulling the engine and chassis in the direction of rotation?
I think it has to do with the torque
V8 is for strong people💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
So many know it all people on here
The first car just has a ton of surge hence the flames running super rich to make it surge
It is the car coming up on the stall converter. Obviously never driven a high stall, high hp car before.
@@CaptjBelk when he opens the the plates yea
Fist car is in burnout paradise
First car sounds like the ticket muncher from Chuck e Cheese. Rip Chuck e Cheese...

Don't stand too close to that maroon car with the 8ft flames out of the exhaust

Who the he'll would put a turbo in the back of a corvette
Rearmounted turbo setups are really common on the vettes C6's from STS are awesome.
Jaden Johnson vettes with rear mounted turbos are more common than hood mounted
Saw that thing in Ely Nevada. way cool

Why on the corvette, the turbos on the back. If they are on the back the turbos get no air flow
I wanna see a dyno pull for the c6 vette they claim makes 3000 hp. I find it hard to believe personally
Y tha turbos in the back of that corvette??
О! Точно как в Hot Wheels в начале ролика!
Serega Da you can say that again.
why do those high power engines act that way
Thank mopar for Hemis they R King Of the qtr mile and street o ya barrette Jackson high price for a hemi car
Bruh all these cars except the corvette have 6,500 plus
I call bs on the 3000hp vett

i am calling bs on all this the vet and the 5 window not even close to 3000 the funny cars mabye.
Garrett Petersen it actually is, there is videos of it all over the internet
Garrett Petersen your totally right it’s full bs
The best thing about this video was that none of these bad A$$ cars had low profile tires.
I want to see the dyno sheet on that vette! NO WAY that is 3,000HP with just twins!!!!!!!
utfan26 you can only SEE twins, no telling what else is done under the hood
I agree.

These poor cars want to idle at like 30mph
That 34 ain't making 3,000 hp with that street blower

@@darthvader3044 🤣🤣 been drag racing for 30 years bud. You can't make that kinda power with that blower

cmon, theese are only hemi blocks with completely changed internals. They are as hemi as my ford pinto 4 cylinder...
Hemis aren't just mopar engines. Hemis can be Chevy, Ford, whatever. The term hemi refers to the shape of the piston meaning hemispherical.
ok
I see a lot of “ master” mechanics giving their two cents worth. Let’s see what you have. I’ll stick with my 325 HP Chevy truck.
I'll stick with my 195hp turbo 1991 Mazda Miata.
Ill stick with my 500hp Fox Mustang.
And I am calling bullshit on some these "3,000 hp" cars.
Sorry, but that amount of HPs is verified by who? What a load of BS. Nice video, nice engines, brutal sound, but .... 3.000HP .... ha ha haaaa.
Dave I am not scared I just think it is idiotic to rev up an engine can't they or do they know how to set an idle up
Take that spoiler of it is ruining the csr
a trike isnt a car
Dibs on the vette
You tube
that's why I never owned high power engines you have to rev them up too much
MsJinkerson dude wtf are u talking about
Not true. Only the tires have to do a lot of revs
Haha :) What the hell are you tlaking about :) Of course you have to rev them less for the same amount of power compared to a smaller engine..
3:16 Okay....That's just stupid.
Stupidly awesome
208m for 3,7s
There are mostly the real deal in this video but the fake flamethrower goofy shit doesn't belong in the same video

funny cars are closer to 10,000, the pro modified cars a closer 4,500 and the top fuel cars are at about 16,000
I seriously can't see an engine make 8-10,000hp...
Klasek Airsoft even steam powered engines were more powerful than that, those put on trains of course; it's not a problem to make 1 such engine. But try to make 2mln and each with price no more than $2000 ... this is the real deal.
Ah yes the 9 CEOS of pollution I see.
*generally disappointed*
so much HP but still not faster than a Bugatti what a shame
Alexi-ann Boyd those dragsters would smoke a Bugatti
**laughs in car guy** you have a lot to learn my friend
HP is for acceleration not top speed unless handling evolves
Top fuel beats the bugatti in both top speed and acceleration all in under 4 sec lol
Why do all these super horse power cars sound like they are seconds away from blowing up?
