I’m Japanese and the Marines are my team, so I’m really grateful for Polanco being here. Although it’s kinda weird seeing him as a DH power bat here in Japan, especially since I saw him come up in the majors as a multi tool guy.
Without even watching the video I wanted to comment because I was very excited to see Polanco play out his career for some reason. I'm not a Pirates fan or anything. oh well
Earned a sub man. That 2010-2015 era for pirates teams was just fun, Cutch, Polanco(just the last year but still), Marte, Harrison, Walker, Alvarez, Martin. Real fun bunch of guys. Easy to root for. Great video btw.
Theres something about pnc that has a disconcerting effect on hitters... Its kinda similar to camden yards in a way, the great righties are overshadowed and the great lefties can figure it out launch-angle wise but cant consistently make contact against all pitches. You have your guys who can hit consistently from the right side and find themselves almost out of the league (cutch, adam jones) and who can hit bombs from the left side but are an expiring breed due to pitching/fielding style changes (álvarez, chris davis). Polanco never really made his mark on the bases or in right with his speed, and his contact tool was too inconsistent for him to develop the right power. You can't blame it all on coaches or a change of swing, but it seemed like he never really put any of his potential tools together to become much better than average, and injuries + the covid/strike seasons definitely messed with his rhythm.
oh you mean the NPB where the best baseball players in the world are? they did after all win the 2023 World Baseball Classic beating out Team America (fuck yeah) in the process....just sayin. also, dude played 8 season in MLB and made 33,000,000 for his time. that's nuts for someone who was league average by every definition of the word. wish they'd have paid me half that much to tell them to cut him in 2014 and find someone else.
Gregory Polanco had so much hope, but failed to meet expectations. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much!

Never thought I’d watch a video about Gregory Polanco but here we are, absolutely loved this video!
Thank you!
Watched home opener for Marines, fans singing the el coffee song, he instantly hit a bomb into the stands. Man I missed him in Pittsburgh.
Dude was great on my MLB 9 Innings team.

Cool video man, thanks!! I'm a big Pirates fan and a big prospect and college baseball guy too!!
79th subscriber! I thought you had way more for how well you commentated & put the video together.
Thank you so much for the support! Was aiming for 100 subs by end of the year lol🤣
He started to figure it out before that terrible slide in 2018. It’s a shame he never regained his form after that
I like polanco because his name is fun to say in Pittsburghese
For 61 subs this channel is incredibly well produced. Keep up the great work man.
Thank you so much!

More strikeouts than games played, that’s crazy
Cutch, Polanco and Marte were the shits.
Tbh, I got cards of him, but I forgot that dude I got like 2-5 polanco cards
