    In terms of value for money, Kamvas 22 Plus is more worth it because it's $549 vs $899. That's $350 savings!

    For the price, the Kamvas 22+ seems like the better choice IMO, better color, better display, brighter, and almost half the price. HUION give us the the next iteration of the 24 pro with the 22+ features and you have an unbeatable product!

    Concerning the lower resolution and pallet space, this is a Mac hack I use.
    With MacOS, you can mirror specific displays to another by using the Option key and dragging a display on top of the display to mirror in the Arrangement window of the Displays settings (just turning on Mirror mirrors all of the displays together), so I have three displays - one QHD, one FHD, and a Huion Kamvas 13, which I have mirroring the QHD (for reasons other than this specific trick).
    I set the Kamvas 13 to mirror the QHD's resolution, so, yes, the icons are smaller, but I have the same 2560 x 1440 space on this as I do on the QHD display. And the pen still works across the entire surface to all four corners.
    Hope this helps solve a problem for someone.

    The glass has to be thicker for the larger surface area. This is true even for the cintiq. Even on those, the thinner glass bends and you see discoloration if you press firmly in the screen.

    • @Lygon_
      @Lygon_ 4 года назад +8

      finally a logical explanation for the thicker glass. Thank you! I did notice that on the Cintiq Pro 24, the parallax is very similar the Huion Pro 24. You can see this in Brad Colbow's review of the Cintiq Pro 24 where he films at a similar angle to Teoh Yi Chie to show the parallax.

  • @skullier13

    Before I bought my xp pen 24 pro, I use my hp spectre x360 as a drawing tablet...
    There's a noticeable parallax... When I was using it, it doesn't bother my work flow much...
    The latency did because the HP spectre x360 is a laptop that can be use as a drawing display but isn't a dedicated one...
    After acquiring the pen display, notice the small parallax but the size of the pen display mitigate the parallax problem... It's didn't bother me at all...
    So I'm guessing people are gonna think that the laminate display with no parallax is better... That's not the case...
    24 and 22 isn't big of a different in term of size but the resolution/pixel density is totally different... And because we use pen display up close to draw the pixel is significantly more apparent...
    So personally I can't recommend the 22" with 1080p of any brand... It's better to get a 16" 1080p than the 22"... Or get the 24" if you can afford it...

      22 Plus is still a good option. The image quality from this pen display is still one of the better ones from Huion. The main downside is just the 1920 x 1080 resolution which has noticeable pixelation with a 22-inch display.

    • @srvk9274
      @srvk9274 3 года назад

      Go for xp pen, its slightly better in drivers update and bug. Huion doesnt have long durability, you are lucky if it crosses 3 years in moderate use. Have used pro 13, pro 16 died in two years. It seems huion cuts cost in softwares and hardwares but gives laminations and etch glasses. XP on other hand gives stable hard ware and drivers, saves on displays (without lamination in 22 and 24 pro) and used cheaper AG film instead of etched glass. I am happy with innovator 16 since 21 and will upgrade to xp artist 16 pro TP with etched glass and lamination in future.

    Hello~ I’ve been going through your reviews for Huions larger models, but I’m still a bit stumped on which to get (budget isn’t an issue). I’m upgrading from their rather older display the Kamvas GT-191 that I’ve had for a long time now. Mmm, i tend to have wide arm motions when I draw so I’m not sure if the 22 would work ? And screen light isn’t really an issue for me since my room is always kept pretty shaded or lightly lit with a lamp. Nor is shortcuts since I use my keyboard and mouse to maneuver or close things. I do tend to have a lot of tabs open for references too.
    Which out of the large models that you’ve reviewed would you recommend for an upgrade?

    If money isn't a big issue, would you still recommend the 22plus for 3d sculpting and photoshop? That bigger resolution sounds really good but I'm scared that the parallax issue on the 24 pro will make the drawing experience worse. Is the parallax on the bigger one that noticeable? Also i heard the 24 pro has some ghosting issues. Can't decide between the 2. Which one would you think gives better experience while drawing overall?

      I preordered the 22 plus until a 24in 2k-4k version is announced down the road. I shoot with a live window on my main monitor so I’d gladly trade sharpness for color and contrast so my image actually matches real monitors. Just hate always having to double check simple things like shadow detail. I know the image is sharp already

      A 22 display with higher resolution literally doesn’t exist lol this one is the best 22in display on the market hands down. Even the Wacom 22 is garbage. Worse screen, worse color gamut, not as bright, crap screen that still uses a screen protector.

    I can't decide between a Gaomon PD2200, a Huion Kamvas 22 Plus, or ponying up some more for a Huion Kamvas 24 Pro 2k. I don't think I can justify a $2000+ Cintiq for now. I've had a Yiynova mvp22u for almost 7 years now and it's showing its age, plus requiring a battery in the pen is annoying and the pen is fragile. Already broken it once tightening it down just a tad too much after replacing the battery.
    From what I've gathered it seems like the Kamvas 22 Plus is probably worth the extra $150-200 over the PD2200, but then if I'm going to spend $550, should I just go the extra $250 for the 2.5k resolution? I have noticed my MVP22U resolution being a bit lacking at 1080p for a 22" screen, especially since I tend to use it more for 3D sculpting in Zbrush rather than 2D work, the resolution makes a much bigger difference in bringing out a lot of details, especially at certain angles.

      If you have the budget, go with any of the pen displays that have 1440P resolution. It's a significant upgrade over 1080P. The main selling point of 1080P displays nowadays is affordability.

    Nice video, but which one? I understand depends on workflow but I am on the fence between both units. And price point wasn’t discussed. Which one would you buy if you were buying it? I will use it for drawing, photo editing and video editing. Ideally a quantum dot display pro would be perfect but that doesn’t exist yet. Thanks!

      @@teohyc Thanks, I do have a 4k monitor that I currently use for video editing, the tablet would be more for masks, and or if I wanted to move around the house. So I don't need to replace or only do editing in the pen display. With that context would you still recommend the 24? I was somewhat leaning towards the 22+ and a button macro console. What personally I keep coming back to is the 22+ has a better screen, better color accuracy, and is almost half the cost. Cost isn't an issue, I was saving for the Cintiq, but honestly from a cost benefit stand point, It feels the Huions are much better value. But at 550 vs 900, the 22+ really killed the Cost Benefit of the 24. I trust your pro opinion. Thanks!

      If you are talking about the models with 1080P resolution, there's not much difference except size. Both will still have visible pixelation. If you have the budget then get the 1440P resolution model.

    May i please ask you? I still can't choose between 22 plus or 24 pro. The main question for me is if 22 plus has more noticeable pixalisation comparable to 24 pro? My eyesight lowers down really really fast if the quailty is of picture is not good enough... Is the FHD and QHD difference that big so i shouldn prefer 24 pro?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  3 года назад

      Pixelation on the 22 is noticeable even without a side by side comparison. But UI elements like text, buttons, palettes will look bigger. So it comes down to whether you want more resolution or you want the UI elements to look bigger.
      In terms of value for money, 22 seems better because it's more affordable.
