I have to say - I am not a podcast person, but I have REALLY enjoyed listening to Dana & David!! So far I have heard Chevy Chase & Ed O'Neill (2 of my favorites), and I was NOT disappointed! Thanks for making my ears happy!
Perhaps they are turning you into a podcast person now. There are definitely some lame podcasts out there, so I understand where you're coming from...However, not all podcasts are the same. There are some really great ones out there, such as Dana & Dave's here (as you've said). If I were to suggest one other podcast to get you to appreciate podcasts more, that would definitely be "Dan Carlin's Hardcore History". No other person makes real history as riveting and entertaining as the great Dan Carlin. I highly recommend Hardcore History to everyone who loves history brought to life with masterful storytelling. I've lost a lot of hours of sleep over the years listening to Dan Carlin because I just could not turn it off. I always had to keep going to find out what happens next.
Ed is just so authentic and wonderful! He's just such an old school stand up man! I grew up with several of these men in my family and life and know how lucky I am. I could listen to him for hours! Love the podcast!
Another great episode. Ed is very entertaining as an actor and tells great stories too. Another episode or two would be appropriate, since he barely scratched the surface.
Those two guys are just annoying, Ed certainly is a good storyteller, go check out his interviews at the EmmyTVLegends, its very entertaining, and informative about the industry. For any faults the guy has, he tells stories very well....and admits it:)
He played football? That reminds me of one of my favorite lines from Married with Children “Tomorrow should be a good day for you, Marcie. Tomorrow I wash the car… in my undershirt” lol
Ed is the best. I love the story he told in an interview about the fights he would get into with Amanda Bearse. He said to her, "do you realize that I have a button I can push that would remove you from this show instantly? You don't have a button, but I do, and my button works, so shut up." He said to the host that of course he would never have done that, but said it just to put her in her place. Bravo, Ed!
Love that you all are doing these. Probably one of my favorite moments from the last few years was watching Spade be on Norm's Netflix show. It was one of the best good-friends-just-having-a-real-conversation interviews/podcasts I've ever seen. Would love for you all to have Bill Hader on. He was amazing on Norm's old podcast show talking about SNL stories. His Josh Brolin about to bomb story is one of the best I've ever heard.
I'm glad there's no video because I love reading the comments from people bitching about it. 😂 There's nothing to see! It's 3 guys sitting in front of microphones. You already know what they look like.
I was today years old when I learned that Dana Carvey thinks "Arness-something" was the professional name of James Arness' brother Peter Graves. I was also today years old when I learned that my comedic hero Dana Carvey isn't perfect. Which makes me love him even more. My favorite podcast. ❤️
Dana & David handled this interview very well. Ed is a big man with big talent & you can tell they both highly respect him. Dana does a good job explaining some industry jargon that the listener may not understand. Some may say he interrupts but i believe he does so, at times, to help the listener. All 3 men are great!
This was a real pleasure to revisit & I must say that I never really knew jack about him priorly. It surely established a similar respect for him in others as well. Thanks
My opinion, who gives a fuck, best fly on the wall show to date. Thank u gentlemen present, thanks to the legends u referenced, y’all make life richer by far
Such a great pod cast! Who knew? That your first podcast was the…e best one yet! Love u both. But this gem…is gold? (Gold and gems are two completely different things…yet it works here!) I’m 42
Great stories. '80s trivia... Ed was in the first regular episode of Miami Vice after the pilot. It is a surprisingly memorable role of a messed up, tough guy character, and he is great in it.
Great episode! Again! Truly fascinating conversations! Really diggin' discovering this PCast other day.. Always learning lots from so much here! Keep up the great stuff
One thing I noticed a couple years ago when I was watching older episodes of SNL was that back then they would use sitcom stars as hosts. That's something they don't do anymore. Ed O'Neil was an example of that when he came on.
@@Uarehere Just one? Abbott Elementary. In my defense, I posted this before Quinta Brunson hosted SNL and it's not a regular thing to have sitcoms stars on there.
Ed doesn't kiss ass. That's why he's not Hollywood. He'll just say, "well, it was okay," or "ah, it wasn't my favorite." Not be be mean, but just telling it straight. He's just not a Hollywood fake. So refreshing. Not enough guys like him -- because most guys need to kiss ass to make it. He did it his way. Married with Children is still one of the funniest shows ever.
When I was a kid I F-Ing LOVED Lambert the Sheepish Lion, the old Disney short that Ed O’Neill mentions in this one. You can watch it on Disney+ actually.
Ed O'Neill, man. That guy. We used to quote Ford Fairlane all the time. It's a classic. "I call you a piece of spam. That's what I think of you. I call you a piece of spam 'cause that's what you are." And... Booty time, booty time, across the USA! LOL. Dude's a legend. It's freakin' Al Bundy, man.
Ed was in Y-town when the mills were working and many thought they would finish high school and just work the mills. The 80's hit and the whole area just tanked. I was from a small mill town near Y-town and joined the military just to get out of that depressed area. Was so depressing every time I went back to visit family.
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !* _Tappin' in from South Central LA_ Great interview. Too many interruptions tho. I wanted to hear the rest of that Joe Pesci story; Bobby D calling back.
I walk to and from work every day, and it's like an hour and a half one-way, so your podcast really helps to pass that time with interesting stories and good laughs.
I wished this episode was twice as long as it was because his filmography is so vast. I fast-forward to the end of "Deliverance" just to see Ed as the state trooper guarding Burt Reynolds. He only has one line but it's the earliest thing I've seen him in.
It would be great if some of the cast members from "Rules of Engagement" would be on the podcast. Would love to hear from Patrick Warburton or Oliver Hudson in an interview.
Denison is in Granville Ohio which is a suburb of Columbus. I’ve always been a fan of Ed and never knew he was from Youngstown, you’re born tough in Youngstown 💪
I love how shocked David was that Ed didn't like being on SNL 😂 he sounded like he found that to be inconceivable, but not everyone gets joy out of live television that involves to much like reading and wardrobe changes. Nothing wrong with that at all!
Youngstown is exactly halfway between New York and Chicago, which is one of the main reasons why it became a mob town. It took about two days drive (prior to the interstate) to get from one city to the next, so the stay over spot for many mobsters was Youngstown.
Not trying to start trouble, but it seems my previous post was deleted for some reason? (Usually your posts are always at the top of the thread but don't see it). I would appreciate knowing why if that is the case? Thanks.
Love these guys and I listen to all of these but sometimes it seems guest gets cut off in the middle of what could be a good story, bringing in some insight. Ed was talking about how his dad was a tough guy but sweet and then the guys cut him off and started talking about their dads! I wanna hear about their dads too but one at a time!
I understand on the guest's part why they wouldn't be miked correctly but come on, guys. It doesn't cost that much to buy semi-decent microphones so that you personally can sound good.
Ed O’Neal always delivers great interviews. I actually look for Ed O’Neal interviews on RUclips
That Christmas episode of Married With Children that had Sam Kinison on it is pure gold! We watch it every year.
Me too. Old school Married with Children was so fucking funny.
Sam was the man

The Conan one was hilarious as well.
Me tooo
I’m addicted to these Fly on the wall podcast!
Love Mister O.Neill. Thanks for the many laughs! What a great Man!🙏😃👊👏🔥

Dude so good, so nice how you guys are basically friends with all your guests making the conversations so fun and interesting.
Loved the Gene Kelly story.
Oh shit, you guys have been holding out on us! This was a joy from start to finish.
The movie "Dutch" is one if my top 5 favorite films. Ed O'Neil is the step dad I always wanted.
He played football? That reminds me of one of my favorite lines from Married with Children “Tomorrow should be a good day for you, Marcie. Tomorrow I wash the car… in my undershirt” lol
Ed nailed that Christopher Walken voice perfectly.
Ed is the best. I love the story he told in an interview about the fights he would get into with Amanda Bearse. He said to her, "do you realize that I have a button I can push that would remove you from this show instantly? You don't have a button, but I do, and my button works, so shut up." That sounds exactly like something his character would say, only half jokingly.
The fact that they had real life hatred for each other but stillwhere able to perform together is a credit to both of their professionalism
Peter Graves from Mission Impossible was James Arness' brother
I can't believe none of them came up with that.
Absolutely hilarious and priceless! Great stories and chatter…….keep it going!!

They did interview Bill Hader. ruclips.net/video/UEah0GbQdT0/видео.html

my favorite part is reading the comments of people bitching and moaning while I’m enjoying the interview lmaoo
If you sleep on this episode you don't deserve it. The Gene Kelly story had me in tears.
My second time hearing this one and it's even better some how. Ed your a legend and my answer to what celebrity would I want to meet.
I was today years old when I learned that Dana Carvey thinks "Arness-something" was the professional name of James Arness' brother Peter Graves.

Aw man this is great !! A bunch of people I truly enjoy, thanks for the uploads.
Dana and David are why I’m listening 👂.😂
Dana & David handled this interview very well. Ed is a big man with big talent & you can tell they both highly respect him.
Dana does a good job explaining some industry jargon that the listener may not understand. Some may say he interrupts but i believe he does so, at times, to help the listener. All 3 men are great!
god i loved married with children. ed's work as al bundy was critically panned, but if you look back now.. it was comedic genius!
Love Ed. First 5 seasons of Married with Children were epic hilarious.
Yeah. When Ron Leavitt left, it went downhill, very very fast. No offense to Michael Moye.
I wouldn’t say down hill very very fast. They were not AS good but they were still better than anything on today.
What are you talking about??...All 11 seasons are hilarious! Wish it would of kept running more.
David, Dana, this episode was too short! Ed O’Neil is so interesting, I wanted more! Great job on your podcast guys👏🏽
This is one of the the greatest episodes you did so far 🙌😎
Ed O’Neil needs to be casted as a Mob boss of some sort.
Great entertaining interview.
You guys need to ask Ed About doing Ford Fairlane next time!!!!! Have Dice and Ed on!!!
Dennis Finch and Al Bundy, two of my sitcom idols.
Such a great pod cast! Who knew? That your first podcast was the…e best one yet! Love u both. But this gem…is gold? (Gold and gems are two completely different things…yet it works here!) I’m 42
You gotta love Ed O'Neil
Great episode guys! Love Ed.
Ed, one of my favorites. His reference to "James Arness brother" reference, that they glossed over, was Peter Graves.
Best episode so far.
Great episode gents, Ed is a legend here in the uk 🇬🇧
Ed is underrated and those where some great stories.

One thing I noticed a couple years ago when I was watching older episodes of SNL was that back then they would use sitcom stars as hosts. That's something they don't do anymore. Ed O'Neil was an example of that when he came on.
Can you name even one popular sitcom today?

That was enjoyable because he’s NOT Hollywood. Pretty cool.
Good job, always enjoy.
I was dying at the Don Pardo bit at the end....
His Glenn clips in Wayne's world are always good for a laugh
I enjoyed this very much
Great show. You had a great man on.

Thanks guys
I love Ed in Disorganized Crime ❤❤❤
It would be really cool if you have Spade on next episode.

_Tappin' in from South Central LA_
Great interview. Too many interruptions tho. I wanted to hear the rest of that Joe Pesci story; Bobby D calling back.
Love the show… I think it would be fun to listen to Dana and David as their fathers! Maybe only on one of the segments?
I walk to and from work every day, and it's like an hour and a half one-way, so your podcast really helps to pass that time with interesting stories and good laughs.
I'm an atheist, but god bless Ed O'Neill, y'know?
I wished this episode was twice as long as it was because his filmography is so vast. I
fast-forward to the end of "Deliverance" just to see Ed as the state trooper guarding Burt Reynolds. He only has one line but it's the earliest thing I've seen him in.
That would be Lewis Crone; Ed being in the film is an urban legend, and has been denied by Ed in at least one interview (KPCS)
It would be great if some of the cast members from "Rules of Engagement" would be on the podcast. Would love to hear from Patrick Warburton or Oliver Hudson in an interview.
There's nothing more funny than Jefferson Darcy when Al would insult Marcy, the thumbs up in agreement and shit eating grins 🤣🤣🤣
I loved this episode. So entertaining!!!!!
this is the best interview with the worst sound. 🤣lol. Still i couldn't stop listening
Lol..David: "god, he won't let you off the f'ing hook".
I need to meet this guy.
Fantastic!
Denison University is in Granville Ohio. Former CEO Michael Eisner, actor Hal Holbrook and many others attended there.

I'd love to interview Ed inside the soundstage they filmed on originally or up to about season 7.
That would be fun
That Gene Kelly story was too much. Lmao

Ed, were the sports episodes of MWC your favorites ?
Youngstown is exactly halfway between New York and Chicago, which is one of the main reasons why it became a mob town. It took about two days drive (prior to the interstate) to get from one city to the next, so the stay over spot for many mobsters was Youngstown.
It is also halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh which both had Cosa Nostra families.
Dino used to be a croupier there
Don Pardo bit was brilliant!!!
I always loose it when Dana tells stories of Mickey Rooney!
Would've liked more questions about his time on Married with Children
Is Spade lacking sleep during that intro? lol
Not trying to start trouble, but it seems my previous post was deleted for some reason? (Usually your posts are always at the top of the thread but don't see it). I would appreciate knowing why if that is the case? Thanks.
I used to spill more seed watching Kelly and Bud's girlfriends than Michael J Fox filling a bird feeder.
Christina Applegate 🔥🔥🔥
Bud very rarely had a female, you was blasting off to Marcy Darcy n!gga, don't lie 💯💯💯🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love Lambert the Sheepish lion. Classic
You post new vids at midnight Wednesday morning? Alright, noted.
Prime time for weird ass insomniacs like me.
Peter Graves was Arness's brother
