“Oh, that is weirdly”
I love when Spade gets hearty laughs out of the guests, he’s so freaking funny
Fantastic statement regarding the Will Smith slap. Right on the money. No excuse for violence under the circumstances. Comedians serve an important purpose in our society. If we censor them -- with violence or otherwise -- then there is nobody out there to expose the truth in ourselves. We NEED comics. Without them, we lose a part of ourselves. Stand-ups are already subject to extreme risk. Then the worst part of it all is Smith actually having the gall to use it to take a self-aggrandizing bow in front of the world. SO disgusting. Thanks guys for speaking out.
What truth did Chris Rock deliver to us with his joke that night ?
youre correct. answer words with words. if Smith had just said what he said and not hit the guy, he would have totally been in the right, and had everyones sympathy. instead, he did something that should have got him kicked out
Will Smith is the true face of Hollywood. Hypocrites. Virtue signaling out of control.
Isn’t a slap in the face okay if someone makes a joke about your wife though?
My favorite single piece of Ben Stiller is as the nursing home director in Happy Gilmore
There's a scene I never remembered seeing as a kid where Sandler throws him out of a window.
Yes!! That will always be my favorite Stiller scene. But I did also enjoy the scene with him and the duck and goose on Friends. Where he thinks he's alone and goes off on the 2 pet birds. Lol. And of course many of his scenes in Dodgeball. That was a great character. 😂
"Can I trouble you for a warm glass of water?"
"You can trouble me for a warm glass of shut the hell up!"
@@Logan912 Omg. My husband and I still quote that line. 😂😂😂
So good!!!!
Milk.
Warm glas of...
David Spade. Don't say you're not great at acting. One of my all-time favorite flicks is Joe Dirt.
Thank you D&D, every cast is phenomenal... I'm watching them out of order, but love every one.
These 3 guys...Tropic Thunder, Envy, Mystery Men, Wayne's World, Wayne's World 2, Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Senseless, and many more.
Been entertaining since our childhoods and still going.
"Never go full retard man..."
"You Simple Jack!!!"
"Puh, puh, puh
Please...
Don't hurt meee..."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well, I've listened to your pod casts for .....oh lets say zillions of hours while driving all around our country over the last three weeks. Thanks, both of you and your generous guests. You've made the time fly.
I think the moral here is G I Jane.. can't wait to see it.
The Swimmer, yes! I saw it only once when quite a bit younger. It was so existential that I have never forgotten it. Amazing.
Heavy Weights probably the most under rated Stiller movie ever.
“I’m gonna make you all into skinny Winners”.
"Did he just call us skinny weiners"? That is a great movie. Ben's parents were funny in it too.
Love Ben Stiller. Total icon. So funny. ❤
1:04:10 Spade & Carvey impersonate Michael J. Fox, Bert Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. Hilarious.
An under-appreciated movie with Ben Stiller: Zero Effect.
One my favorite movies. Another oldie but goodie - Flirting With Disaster.
‘Your Friends and Neighbors’ (‘98) is interesting as well. Stiller doing an understated dramatic role.
A couple of my favorite Ben Stiller things -- that some people probably haven't seen -- are his episode of Ricky Gervais's Extras and the satirical bonus material on the Starsky and Hutch DVD.
I remember watching The Ben Stiller Show as a kid, and getting my mind blown. His Oliver Stone Land sketch - in particular, the JFK “wrapped in an enigma” sequence and Bob Odenkirk fake-mouthing lines - is maybe one of the funniest things ever put to film. (If you’re like-minded, of course.) ruclips.net/video/8hlaOD2hpzs/видео.html
When Jimminy Glick used his really deep voice to ask Ben about the stuff on his ear that looked like "GUY GOO..."
😂😂😂
Michael Caine as a kindergartner. Funniest thing I’ve ever heard. Full disclosure…I smoked a little pot. But at least the 4th funniest thing I’ve ever heard.
Oh I'm glad they mentioned Steve Coogan and ROB BRYDON
They're 2 of my absolute fav comedians/impressionists
British comedies the best imo
Check out ‘Greenberg’ the finest depiction of a ‘puer aeturnus’ ever filmed. Had no idea Stiller had it in him.
David you should be the lead in more movies!
Perhaps you guys could do a project with Ben. ❤
The best thing about Poseidon Adventure were the matching shorts under the maxi skirt.
Permanent Midnight. Ben is sooo great in this role, I’m bummed I never hear more abt it . I was really hoping the Ben interview was longer, but an hour is very cool, too. I’m a huge fan, abt the same age, I also saw Poseidon Adventure 20+ ( so many times my older brothers started making fun of me ).
Ya gotta interview Christopher walken!
Ben had a favorite sketch of mine with Kristen Wiig as Shanna on Halloween, lol. She had about a 20 second fart that knocked Ben out.
I love it! I script that was brought to our production company!!!!!
Dana made me Google if Ben had been an amateur boxer. Lol
Tell you one thing...ifn it was THE Rock instead of Chris Rock....ole Will woulda stayed in his seat and KEPT laughing!!! guaranteed
Sundance, which is a dance i go to. lol
I watched dodgeball so many times as a kid and as an adult not usually a Ben stiller fan never wanted to watch zoolander for the sounds, night at the museum freaked me out and dad and I watched Madagascar films a ton had no clue just how big he was when I was growing up
Stiller is a beast; He has a hilarious role on Ricky Gervais's - Extras...
Please do tribute shows on Norm and Phil Hartman
he left SNL after Miller told him > There is no I in TEAM.
Love this episode.
Bullies suck, especially those that punch down on others. Public humiliation is a fever, and the only prescription is more public apology.
I love these guy's
Reality Bites was soooooooo good! I'd sometimes forget that Ben Stiller directed it. And one the first movies that had a really poignant soundtrack too; it was almost another character.
can we get video version? even if its skype or discord
Amazing!
Leslie Nelson was the captain on SS Poseidon
You guys... I mean you're great you guys!
Hey, and about "emailing" the questions in - why not go with the RUclips comments?
That bumps up your channel activity rating and makes it pop up more in people's "recommended" (unlike the emails).
And technically you get notified per email by RUclips whenever somebody comments, so... yeah, do that to make people comment a lot more. Peace!
Zoolander was my fav
I liked Will Smith movies, but I don't want to see that guy ever again. There's a very personal event in my life that just happens to closely resemble that incident, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, ever.
im going to host the oscars in 2035 and after every joke im gonna pop in a mouthguard and put up my dukes
when are you going to do a show with Joe Piscapo?
They finally did and it's awesome 👌
Question for Dana! Maybe you can settle an argument. Do you remember saying something abt fame and equating it to taking and “orange” putting it on Tv , and later taking the Orange 🍊 outside and ppl saying, “hey that’s, that orange 🍊 from Tv”… Am I correct on this?? If so, anywhere I can find that in an article or podcast ??
"Mallory?"
I wish I'd been five feet and ninety pounds in 9th grade!
I had a friend who was more than a hundred pounds heavier and about 14-15 inches taller who played football and wrestled and I was asked to join the wrestling team because a new weight class had been created and the team would get points if the other school didn't have anybody under eighty pounds. 😂
Ben rocks
@hothouseflowers are a great band!
OK. You guys can watch for Gene Hackman and Roddy McDowall.
I watched for Pamela Sue Martin. 💚💚
Actually I think that was quite a positive thing going on here number one, comedians that were put upon on stages were able to knock the crap out of any audience they got their head they can come up on stage and knock someone.
But I really do think that the joke itself as well as the slap really shed a light on alopecia, and look good Jeff Ross did in his tweets that was beautiful.
I bought a jaguar. Not a car. A freaking jaguar.
Walkin was a lion tamer a long time ago.
Toe Fat (1969-1971) included future members of Uriah Heep And Jethro Tull
A hint of Jimmy Stewart for Biden impression...
Sounds like Zorin should return 🙂
It's like people only do things because they get paid. And that's just really sad.
the will smith thing was a masterwork of show running now that im really thinking about it because im betting the guy that was with the smiths played into it a lot but not on camera
at academy awards a few years ago, the host tells a jolie she can now audition for male roles? Mean.
(although comparing female hair loss to breast amputation is a pretty huge stretch itself-though it's another big part of the female beauty game)
Yeah the slap did help me forget Ukraine and the covid tribulations it did not help me forget the gas prices.
If anything that slap forced gas prices to rise, God damn you Smith.
I agree. It's not okay to say men can't sexualize women but women can sexualize men! Feminism at the definition is equal treatment of each gender.
My ONLY comment about Will SMIFF " chiselin on da Rock "...is dis....." Willy? WTF!!? ....YOU.... shouldn't be POUNDING DA....ROCK!! YOU, SIR.... should be POUNDED ...during your " stint ON da ROCK!!" ( IF you know what I be SAYIN!! )
will NEVER see another Will Smith movie
Tough Guys. For carvey
Roasts? Dead? Tell that to Tony of kill Tony, I don't think so.
🤔 WHATS NEXT....EVERYONE BEING 😡🤬🤯 OFFENDED BY ROASTED 🍗 CHICKEN⁉️ 🤨🙄
I'm offended by your usage of caps and emojis.
Caps losers... RUclips cliche #2044
It looked complete fake to me and since then I saw a t.v. seen from years ago that mirrored what happened..to say strange,is simplifying it..if it was real,a normal person would have walked off and called the police and had him charged with battery..that's what a adult would do..the reason why no one did anything is because there actors and none really knows if it's real or some kind of a skit..there are done on all the time..for the actors that were sure it was real, how obvious does it have to be that the audience is full of cowards?
Will Smith's husband is problematic
Oh yeah, Stiller was classic as the dbag TV Producer in "Reality Bites". Foreshadowing. 😊 Also, "The Wrong Missy" was a Ripoff of "Along Came Polly".
Their running down Ben's resum'e and they don't mention PERMANENT MIDNIGHT? Dana and David are good, but they are SLOPPY.
The slap was uncalled for yes but everyone seems to see something totally different. It was like 8 seconds. Asking about security like what could they have done? It was over before anyone knew what happened. The way people talk it's like Will tackled Chris and beat the shit out of him for 12 minutes.
They could have escorted him backstage.
Weird start where you guys defended the bully & called the guy defending the bully's victim the bully.
Chris Rock has been stalking & harassing Jada Pinkett since the 90's for turning him down. He's made fun of her before while being recorded & broadcast to the country, its insanity to be defending HIM in this -- friend or not.
@@1prozzak6616 dont believe everything you read lol
That slap was totally fake. Imagine believing it was real
