It’s too bad, but RUclips is pretty uptight about full-frontal nudity. Totes would be thrilling to see these three comedic geniuses, in their element-magnificent lawn chairs, Big Gulps of gin and schnapps-nothing but witty repartee and hanging dong. Despite its objectively tasteful nature, RUclips’s puritanical impulses render it cheapened and censored. You can still hear their confidently exposed genitalia and sense of easy freedom in their voices, though.
I love when SNL legends from my favorite era interview SNL legends from other eras. This is another example of that. I love this podcast. I could listen to another hour with these 3. Ditto when Fred Armisen, Will Ferrell and Bill Hader were on. I just wish they would let the guest speak more.
Yeah I was the perfect age for "classic SNL" Born in 1979 so 2nd grade when Lorne returned, 3rd grade when I started watching. First episode I really remember was early 1988, 3rd grade, Tom Hanks as host and they did this "farting diner" sketch. I was spending the night at grandparents house and I watched with Grandpa. I'd always see Benny Hill reruns at their house too. Back when PBS showed Benny Hill on Saturdays around 11pm. I think before they showed Dr Who And then in 5th grade (89-90) I was super into SNL
The early lonely island videos made me a fan, I started to really liked Andy during his SNL days and I fell in love with him because of his appearance on the roast of James Franco. “You a passive aggressive sweet heart, Jonah.”
Tell Lorne to post the SNL sketch of Neil Patrick Harris doing the Doogie Howser theme song on RUclips. It was the first time I saw Andy Samberg and fell in love with his deliciously 80's drum machine synthesizer magic. I saw the clip once on Hulu about 13 years ago but I haven't been able to find the clip ever since.
Dana just is not good at interviewing. I mean besides all the talking about himself. 52:25 Spade and Andy are being funny going back for talking about Hotel Transylvania and talking about Miley Cyrus and Dana is like "I'm sorry but our producer gave us this list of questions and we really need to get through them. What's Dick in a Box? Talk about that quickly and then please quickly talk about Beyonce" Just kills the vibe. Might as well be and Access Hollywood interview or something Edit:52:25
Several years ago, a friend of mine dressed up as Dick in a Box. It was hilarious. We had a group of us do karaoke once a week and did a Halloween one where we all dressed up. That's the costume he wore. 😂
That first time he said it and David didn't correct him. I find it so annoying when cohosts don't correct mistakes like that. Either they are not paying attention or they are "being polite" But yeah I was starting to worry about Dana's mental health
I would have liked them to do a skit together where they are a couple of lapsed Jews. Their parents try to get them to go to Synagogue and they weasel out of it. They look over their shoulders and eat a piece of ham. They could have had a lot of fun with that idea.
He's almost 70 and it's really showing. Spade doesn't want to be mean and point it out. I mean this whole podcast is basically Spade doing Dana a favor. Spade has so much mo ey already
Yeah he just kills the vibe. Spade and Andy are being funny having a conversation about Miley Cyrus and Hotel Transylvania and then Dana interrupts and is like "our producer gave us a list and we really need to get through it. Tell us about Dick in a Box quickly please and then quickly tell us about Beyonce" Might as well be an Access Hollywood interview and not a podcast conversation between comedians
Lol...... There are these people that you only see around award show season, and they become your award show friends..... One of the most Un-relatable statements I've ever heard. I found it hilarious. Love the podcast guys.
Gregory Peck and Don Cheadle both won (tied) in Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television in 1999.
I used to think that Andy Samburg, was Adam Sandlers, son. Because he looked like he could be son, and the name was similar. I just thought he changed it for comedic reasons.
I was in high school from '91 to '95. '91 to '93 was definitely a great time for SNL. Part of the magic of SNL was that anyone could quote catch phrases or parts of the show. Even if you couldn't do a good impersonation of George Bush, you could nonetheless do an impression of Dana Carvey doing George Bush. I worked as a bus boy at a restaurant in my home town. On Sundays, I worked a double shift, and so the other bus boy and I would trade quotes from watching SNL the night before. The next shift, I would stay, and then I'd repeat that with the next bus boy coming on shift. My buddy got fired, though, after he licked one of the patrons... (JK).
Probably among the top unfunniest people that was connected enough to get a job at this show. Others on that list are Chris R. Fallon, Fey, Farrel and that other guy. True greats that slipped through the system and are comedians are Hammond, Carvey, Hartman, Moher, and Bruer. These guys had more than just smarmy sarcasm.
Geezus, no wonder Dana is terrified of being cancelled. Spade makes a harmless Emmy joke and Dana goes straight for "Who would marry that woman?!" Embarrassing.
He also mispronounced "pronunciation" Dana is just so out of it and isn't up to date at all. He is almost 70 and it's showing. Spade doesn't want to be mean and point it out
I really hate to say this, but Carvey makes these interviews unlistenable. No one can get a full sentence out without Carvey interrupting to say something about himself. Every interview is like this. It's kind of a bummer
Yeah he just kills the vibe. 52:25 Spade and Andy are being funny having a conversation about Miley Cyrus and Hotel Transylvania and then Dana interrupts and is like "our producer gave us a list and we really need to get through it. When "Nadia" came out ( w/Chris Parnel ) and it begins w/an early phone call in the morning .."What up Parn' " & "Hey, Sanberg what's Crakin" ? I was totally convinced they were Related because of the lytics, "Six, No Twelve ,Make it a Bakers Dozen---I'm Crazy for those Cupcakes --Cousin" ! Anyways. I would of Argued/Bet/& LOST half my shit up until a few minutes ago that they were blood relatives . Now , I'm kind of concerned about myself.
Spade and Carvey are legit awful at hosting. I had tried and tried, and sure, they are both former cast members but could they let the effing guest speak for 30 seconds straight?
Let it be!! It’s what makes it so much fun. Carvey breaking into characters. Spade sliding in digs. They don’t have to be Walker Concrite. Which makes it all the more charming
I wish they did these with video.
It’s too bad, but RUclips is pretty uptight about full-frontal nudity. Good episode, surprisingly refreshing and entertaining, thank all 3 of you for the morning treat!
I love when SNL legends from my favorite era interview SNL legends from other eras. This is another example of that. I love this podcast. I could listen to another hour with these 3. Ditto when Fred Armisen, Will Ferrell and Bill Hader were on. I just wish they would let the guest speak more.
If you want the guest to speak a bunch, check out the episode with the super talkative and not-at-all enlightening Bert Kreischer.

love him, woulda listened for another hour of these stories lol
Yay!!!! I was just wishing you would get Andy on and then this happens!! Best day ever.
Best Day Ever ..... so your life is Fkn LAME
I wish Andy was in more movies. I ❤️ seeing him in everything he does.
You must be stooopid to NOT UNDERSTAND why he isnt. LOL
59:38 I love Great Day so much! I discovered it a couple months ago and watch/listen to it at least once every 2 days, sometimes daily
Great interview! I didn't realize I was such a big Andy Samberg fan.
By far the best pod cast on the net. Can’t go wrong with Carvey and Spade. Now, I gotta, gotta, gotta, go
Samberg's SNL Digital Shorts were hilarious. I rewatch many of them to this day. Dear Sister was an underrated hilarious skit.
"Adam" Samberg made me laugh so hard.
The early lonely island videos made me a fan, I started to really liked Andy during his SNL days and I fell in love with him because of his appearance on the roast of James Franco.
“You a passive aggressive sweet heart, Jonah.”
The best and most intelligent roaster of all time.

Chris Parnell was epic when he rapped on weekend update!
The rap about Ashton Kutcher was hilarious.
Hot Rod is one of the last great feel good movies
Another banger. Thanks, guys. 👏🏻
Down my drink, while the rhythms boom.
Nice!! Hahahaha
I wish he would have talked about Thats my boy and hanging out with vanilla ice. 😂
please have him back on again in the future to get more stories about him at snl
David’s character Finch on Just Shoot Me! married supermodel, Adrienne played by Rebecca Romijn. Rebecca also grew up in Berkeley just like Andy.
Great episode ❤
Andy Samberg is so great
been waiting for this one!
1000% need video!!!
Please. Jesus
Agreed, we need to see the hair!
"Popstar" is dope.
Dana just is not good at interviewing. I mean besides all the talking about himself.

Great episode! no f**king surprise.
great episode.
I love how Dana just said Adam Sandberg😂😂
That first time he said it and David didn't correct him. I find it so annoying when cohosts don't correct mistakes like that. Either they are not paying attention or they are "being polite"
But yeah I was starting to worry about Dana's mental health
When is the Aykroyd interview?
I like hello flies. I’m a fly lol
I wonder if Andy and Sandler ever did an SNL skit where they were brothers or related? ( I know they had a movie..LOL) That would be hilarious!!
I would have liked them to do a skit together where they are a couple of lapsed Jews. Their parents try to get them to go to Synagogue and they weasel out of it. They look over their shoulders and eat a piece of ham. They could have had a lot of fun with that idea.
(yo reach in my pocket, pull out some dough)
Girl acted like she'd never seen a ten befo
Can we get video???
A.S. "I know the film." in reference to Waynes World 2 is said w love.
Lovin this!
I would like to hear what Mark Shaiman would say. I talked to him recently and he has really funny SNL tales.
Video please!
Can’t believe they didn’t talk about Palm Springs.
And Hot Rod!
Great interview! But, man…. You guys didn’t even talk about Hot Rod!?
nicest guy in the biz
Jane Curtain was Andy’s Mom on “I love you man”
1:13:50
Dana really ought to learn his guestnames and shut up and let the guests tal. And quit telling the same stories every podcast.
He's almost 70 and it's really showing. Spade doesn't want to be mean and point it out. I mean this whole podcast is basically Spade doing Dana a favor. Spade has so much mo ey already

And the. He called Andy's wife Gina when her name is Joanna lol
Lol...... There are these people that you only see around award show season, and they become your award show friends..... One of the most Un-relatable statements I've ever heard. I found it hilarious. Love the podcast guys.
I quote hot rod at least once a week. 😅
Amazing these guys hadn't seen the Natalie Portman raps.
Since the Smigel podcast, I can't listen to it without singing his theme song for the show
16:13... Spade ftw.
Dan glarney sent me 😂
Gregory Peck and Don Cheadle both won (tied) in Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television in 1999.
The following year, he lost to Peter Fonda.
@brewer921 the year after that charlton heston won his final award before he passed away in 2008
How did they not ask about Michael Bolton 😢
I've met Samberg and Spade. Spade was very sweet and funny but Samberg didn't seemed too excited about it. LOL.
Because Samberg is a complete arrogant kiss-ass loozer
he might have not been having a good day
I used to think that Andy Samburg, was Adam Sandlers, son. Because he looked like he could be son, and the name was similar. I just thought he changed it for comedic reasons.
This show is only as good as the guest, and Andy Sanberg was a very good guest
Listened to the podcast.... then I threw it on the ground !!!!!
Happy birthday to the ground

VICTORIA JACKSON
Please.
I get the feeling this podcast is associated with "Saturday Night Live"
Turns out Samberg & I discovered SNL around the same time the same way.

I gir yelled at by my family for saying I was gonna play "I'm on a boat" while getting on a cruise ship
Dana mispronounced "pronunciation"
That's pretty ironic
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
RACHEL DRATCH
Please.
Geezus, no wonder Dana is terrified of being cancelled.
Spade makes a harmless Emmy joke and Dana goes straight for "Who would marry that woman?!"
Embarrassing.
🫤 Yah! That was disturbing
It's called a "joke." Haha
TELL ANDY TO GET A PROPER HAIRCUT
Once again Dana crow bars his horrible Brad Pitt impression into the podcast. No one has told him it’s really bad?
He also mispronounced "pronunciation"
Dana is just so out of it and isn't up to date at all. He is almost 70 and it's showing. Spade doesn't want to be mean and point it out
Adam Sandborg
Nine Nine!
Cate Blanchett …🤤
Ah good old Adam Samberg.
It’s ok, little girls. Nobody notices that you’re the only pros without a video podcast. When, finally.
Sandy Hamburg
I really hate to say this, but Carvey makes these interviews unlistenable. No one can get a full sentence out without Carvey interrupting to say something about himself. Every interview is like this. It's kind of a bummer
More Ritalin less caffeine
He's almost 70 years old and it's really showing. His memory is so bad and he hasn't heard of any shows or comedians who started after about 1998
Yeah he just kills the vibe. 52:25 Spade and Andy are being funny having a conversation about Miley Cyrus and Hotel Transylvania and then Dana interrupts and is like "our producer gave us a list and we really need to get through it. I think it’s more about him contributing and oftentimes when you wait to say something it goes by and the opportunity is missed.
Your critique sounds like infant diarrhea smells
You 2 r too self critical and depreciating….you r both equally or more funny as any cast member ever!
When "Nadia" came out ( w/Chris Parnel ) and it begins w/an early phone call in the morning .."What up Parn' " & "Hey, Sanberg what's Crakin" ? @@2Less0is0More2 Walter Cronkite*
Carvey is just so ill-informed and Spade doesn't want to be mean to him. Spade is cool and "with it"
Nobody considers themselves flies. That take is lame
Why no video? Lame. You’re losing views.
Good luck on Digman but other than the Footloose homage in Hot Rod God is this guy not funny.
Skipping this one. Can't stand this guy. I'll see you guys next week. 👌
you dork
So.
Joking right? Thank him for digital shorts
this is a risky take, but Andy should play Epstein in a movie..... sorry. I'm not wrong
That guy had an excellent manager or family name because I always thought he completely sucked but he ended up popping up everywhere
Wrong Missy 2 movie idea
Dana is missys dad aka grumpy old man and she takes spade home to meet him and hilarity ensues.
Sandy Amberg
Ryan Reynolds and all of the other rich people hve stolen all of the happiness in the world.
FACE IT .... Seth Meyers and Andy Samberg are the ABSOLUTE LEAST ENTERTAINING TALENTLESS SNL SUCK-UPS. LOL
