This is the guy who in 1966 scored 4 touchdowns in a single game playing for Polk high Panthers
Yes it is!!
Rofl
That's right. He mentioned that in so many episodes. That was funny.
And then just the aroma of womens feet.
@@leemoore9933 that’s right, haha
Ed O'Neill is an incredibly underrated actor, and Al Bundy is an American Hero.
Never forget the day in 1966 that Al Bundy scored 4 touchdowns in a single game for Polk High School, including the game winning touchdown in the final seconds, against his bitter rival Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon for the championship.
Holy fuck! Underrated?!? He’s the complete opposite of that! Everyone knows who he is. Stop using that word incorrectly!
@@SonnyGTA you're both still right!

Ed O'neil is the best..watching married with children always brought a smile in the toughest times
'Married...with Children' is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, my personal favorite, and Ed O'Neill as Al Bundy is the main reason why.
This should be "Ed O'Neil from Married With Children"
loved the show , the man was made for the part in that show , his cold rolling eyes and commitment to be a family man in society football goals always confused me as a teenager but many years later I seen his struggle
@@Kangaroojack1986 my favourite scene is where al sings about his vegetable garden
I had an actor friend that said he modeled a character for a play after me, but little did he know that I got my demeanor from watching Ed O’Neil play Al Bundy for the most part of my childhood into my late teens. MWC was easily my favorite show throughout the 90s, still love it to this day.
I don't like sitcoms, but i love MWC
Met Mr. O’Neal a few years ago outside a Subway. He’s the kindest man around. He spoke to my wife and I as if we were the celebrities; he was so interested in us as if we were famous. It’s one of the greatest highlights of my life.
Great guy. An American treasure. I actually LOVED that movie Dutch.
that is great to hear
love hearing things like this
That’s “O-‘-N-E-I-L-L” GET IT RIGHT!!! 🤡
@@flightofthebumblebee9529 Very underrated funny movie.
I loved Married. One episode that I always remember was when Peg walks in and says "Al I'm home. You miss me?
Al: with every bullet so far".
Always cry laughing.
Great Line! LOL
My favorite one when peg lost her memory and Al took advantage of it.
Sometimes the internet still amazes me; an hour long conversation between an ex mob guy and Al Bundy is such a thing. :-)

They need to do Married with Grandchildren, Al and Peggy retired and dealing with the grand kids and the kids... it would be amazing.

@@efrainmorales8679 100% agree. Cobra Kai was a huge successful risk but I don't think they'd be able to catch lightening in a bottle with a spinoff to the original MWC.
If anything, Quentin Tarantino and/or Robert Rodriguez could do a "Psycho Dad" series, with maybe a couple cameos from the MWC cast.
Ed O’Neill is one of the very few actors I wish I could meet. So underrated.

Born & raised in Youngstown myself. These names bring back memories. My uncles knew and associated with many of them.
Congressman Trafficant made all of Pittsburgh love Ohio.
Ed O'Neill, a true Irishman. Greetings from Ireland.
All the married with children fight scenes were epic especially if they started with the infamous Al Bundy line - "Let's rock"

Love Ed O'Neill. One of the things I really love about Michael is his way of interviewing. He lets his guests talk... he doesn't keep interrupting like many interviewers do.
Very true.
Yeah, but he had to of been getting pretty irritated at being cut off when he was trying to say something. But at the same time, it was mainly because of the lag in the internet connection, because it through the timing off. Which made it seem like they weren't talking when they actually were.
These sit downs are phenomenal. The best "interviews" are just conversational. Michael is brilliant at it.
He really has the gift
Even before watching this I'm going to declare this Michael's coolest guest ever.

Dutch is a great movie with Ed O'Neil. That has been my go to holiday movie for decades now after burning out on Christmas Story and Home Alone as a kid.
O'Neil was great in an episode of Hunter.
Watch Dutch every Thanksgiving. Hilarious
"The family man" with Nicolas cage was good too.
My family on my mother's side was close with the O'Neill's. My grandmother (Virginia Gallagher/Bush) and Ed's mother (Ruth) were best friends growing up and remained close up until she passed. I can remember how proud my family was when Ed and 'Married with Children' became a huge hit. I've never personally met Ed but I've never heard a bad word about him. Great guy!
Very cool!😀
Ed seems like a genuine guy . He’s a guy you’d want to have beers with. Great sit down
Oh my god.
I love Ed O'Neil. I'm currently watching through Modern Family for the first time, I absolutely love the show, and loved him as Al Bundy in Married with Children. What a legend!
On Married with Children I loved the It's A Wonderful Life episode where Sam Kinison was Al's Angel and the family was doing better without Al being born. So he told the angel to send him back because, "they don't deserve this happiness". lol
On Modern Family he has food to eat, and money to spend. Now that’s a role reversal.
I just started watching Modern Family.
I thought it was a current show.
Didn’t realize it already ended.
One of the best shows ever right up there with Married with children.
Even my dad laughed his a$$ off to Married...and he was a first generation immigrant with english as his second language. One of the few shows we could watch and laugh at together.
Sunday night on FOX ... great times in the early 90s
Yea, my dad had a "shoot me, I'm married" shirt with Al's face LOL. I miss those Sunday night fox TV shows!

I met Ed in California one day and he is a great guy! So funny, down to earth and a terrific storyteller.
Married with Children is one of my favorite sitcoms of all time!!!
I always get a smile when I see Ed O'Neill on TV. This was great!
Married with Children is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. The reason why it was so funny is that it was geared for men. All of the jokes are jokes guys make with their buddies and how guys rip on things. That's why the show was offensive to some people. It's a classic. I don't think there will ever be another show like Married with Children.

God knows what her English is like today
My little Irish school teacher grandmother never missed Al Bundy. First time as a grown man that I realized my gran was also a woman. I was so shocked and embarrassed.
Not that it was a bad thing. Good for you GMA!!!!
Ed's acting in the Miami Vice episode was epic. The final scene with George Benson's "This Masquerade" playing in the background is truly heartbreaking.

I used to be a waiter in a restaurant at Disneyland and saw him sitting at one of the tables once. I’ve seen a lot of famous people there, but he was the one that really blew me away.
