I'm looking forward to the almost zero-waste packaging video you mentioned. These boxes are adorable, but I like them even more because they're made out of recycled paper.
Aw, thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I love mine. I got the pro and even that I was able to make my money back within 6 months. Thank you for watching! xx
@@katej5513 the main difference is that it has the pass through slot, but I honestly have barely used it. As long as you don't plan on working with large/long materials and just get the standard size that fits within the glowforge, you don't need to get the pro. Totally up to what you need!
I can try! If I'm doing kiss cut and want another part fully cut out, I duplicate the part I want to cut out 5 times so that it "kiss cuts" 5 times and actually ends up cutting through. 😊
Love your videos!!! I’ve been on a binge just watch your work! Lol. Amazing work! How long did it take you to acquire all of your equipment and how long have you been in business? Very well organized!
Thank you! I appreciate you watching! I've been doing this full time for 3 years and started selling on my first Etsy shop almost 4 years ago. My stamp machine is the very first big piece of of equipment I got, and the very last things I got were my heat presses a couple months ago, so it took almost 3 years to build up to all the equipment I have now.
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying and find them relaxing! It's called a stamp perfect and if you're in the US and google that, you should be able to find it! 😊
How does the stamp perfect press work on different materials? I do a lot on aluminum, but also use some harder metals like brass and copper so I would love to know if it's good for that as well! Fellow apartment living metal stamper :)
I stamp on stainless steel which is the hardest and it works perfectly fine on those! I first started stamping with it on aluminum, brass, and copper before I switched to stainless steel, so it works on all of them. It's adjustable, so can pretty much stamp anything! Although, it's only good at stamping with stamps up to about 4mm. Anything bigger you may not get the full impression. Hope that helps! 😊
I've also had it over 3 years and it still works perfectly, so I'd say it's worth the investment! Definitely made stamping faster and less of a pain in the butt 🤣
I've gotten this question before but I don't do anything special 😭. I just do the max length and width it allows, like 6.75 by 9.25 inches? Not sure what the exact limits are in the cricut design space, but that's all I do.
Thank you! 😊 I bought the filter when I got the glowforge, but once it needed replacing, I just started venting it out the window because I didn't want to spend the money again lol. It's actually quieter too venting out the window, so I doubt I'll get the filter again.
Hei Tana! I’m contemplating to start my own business so at the moment I’m gathering information. A really like your stile and approach to eco friendly materials, found substitutes for almost everything but I cannot figure out what you’re putting in the erring boxes. Can you please help me with this information? I’ll very grateful! Thank you xx
I put the earrings on a kraft paper earring card that I print and cut myself, and then just put tissue paper to fill the void so the earrings aren't moving around. This is only because the cotton stuffing that comes with the boxes isn't that thick.
Question can you do a tutorial on how you have your cricut to cut both the inside and outside every time i see a video they show it but dont explain good, and i try but it only cuts the outside every time
I can try to do that in the future! The important part is to save the stickers you want to get cut out as a separate file from the background sheet. So you put your background file first in cricut design space as print the cut, duplicate that layer 5 times on top of each other so that the cricut cuts through all the way, and then for the actual sticker part, add that file into cricut design space as print then cut, line that file on top of the 5 background sheet layers you put previously, and you only need one layer for the actual sticker part. Then when you go to make it, set to cut on either the sticky note or washi tape setting, whichever one works best for your paper, and it should work. Hopefully that was clear!
That is exactly why I got this machine. I felt too uncomfortable with all the noise I was making in an apartment. Didn't want my neighbors to complain 😅
So they can break in transit or poke through the packaging? The earrings can move all over the place and the posts can bend or break off with pressure if you do that. If they could lay flat like dangle earrings then MAYBE.. but the point is to protect them. Plus everything I use is recycled materials and recyclable/compostable. I'll keep doing what I think is best from experience of sending thousands of packages, but thanks for the input anyways!
🙄 The fact that there is a gender pay gap in the US and women make a salary around 80% of that of the average man IS still belitting women, and on top of that I'm Latina and we are hit the hardest with the wage gap. Why "women owned businesses"?
In this day and age to specify someone's gender as if it matters, belittles them as if they need special treatment. 🙄
